This was a lot of fun to read--the kind of book which lifts your spirits and leaves you smiling.

I am a cradle Catholic (have been since I was an infant) and I stood up, to applaud this book, then knelt down to thank God for the gift of laughter. Then, in true catholic form, I sat down and read it for a while, then stood up, knelt down, stood up again, and clapped my hands with delight and joy at the humor found within these pages. I recommend it to anyone - faith believers or not. This book has something for everyone!

one day in class i was reading along in this book and got to one of my favorite pages of all time--the spoonerisms. i got sent out in the hall (in trouble) for causing a disruption in class--by my favorite teacher!!! it was hilarious!

Two side-splitting comic panel artists, the legendary Johnny Hart and the ever-pursued Bil Keane build their cartoon crown of thorns in this novel concept book. Although the slightly unnerving image of the Apostles looking like Jeffy and PJ can give one pause, the message is certainly clear and enlightening. Makes a great gift for letting your Sunday School friends know your sense of humor.

Mirth for the Millenium presents 2000 good reasons to be a happy Christian. There's enough material here to keep preachers and inspirational speakers tickling the funny bones of their audiences for two more millenia. You can almost imagine Jesus himself smiling when he hears these quips, quotes and jokes passed around his modern day followers. Try this book whether you're a believer or not.

While this book was amusing, I have seen many of the items before, and I kept waiting for the various authors to break some real ground here, but they played it safe too often.

I love to read amusing anecdotes, etc. and I enjoyed this book. As the "holy" in the title suggests, this book's about God and church...and the amusing stuff about holy things. It is non-denominational.

You can read my review of the first book in the series and apply it here. More of the same oft-told stories without trying anything new. I will stick to the Church Chuckles series instead.
