This is one of the most resoursefull bibles ever found. Also Bonded Black Leather, easy read and reference! A great gift to anyone who like to research the bible for studies or personal growth!

If you are a lover of great literature of any kind - pick this up and start reading! What's your favorite style? You'll find it in the Bible - romance, poetry, tragedy, action, intrigue, narrative, parables, miraculous events...on and on and the best part is that it is all true. I have found that most people who "do not believe" the Bible is truthful have not read or investigated it for themselves but are merely echoing popular sentiment held by the majority of those in the liberal media and entertainment industries.

If you are ready to investigate and learn, then I believe that this is probably the best study Bible available. Ryrie's commentary is outstanding and presents notes as to what the verses or the text is trying to communicate. In some cases, different commonly held understandings of the passage will be given.

Ryrie also presents "A Synopsis of Bible Doctrine" that is easy to understand and essential for any new or old Christian or non-Christian who may be unfamilar with Christian beliefs (essential doctrine). Ryrie provides information regarding the "End Times" (Revelation period, end of the world, Left Behind time frame) that presents are fair accounting of the differing understandings and beliefs held by the Premillennialists, Postmillennialists, and the Amillennialists are. Also included are sections on the meaning of salavtion, archaelogy, and church history. I find this to be an excellent translation with an abundance of helpful, easily comprehended material that adds to our understanding of the Bible text itself.

This is an excellent Bible with a lot of extras that provide in depth information without just being filler. My only complaint is that there's not more room for notes.

In the short time since my purchase of this Bible, it has become my primary carry and reading Bible.

First, the explanations are quite thorough and researched. The introduction to each book of the Bible is quite useful for setting the stage for understanding the material to follow. Timelines are also included to help place Biblical events in perspective.

The overall quality of construction of this Bible is tip notch. I feel that even with heavy use, this Bible will be around for many years.

I would like to highly recommend this Bible for anyone who is interested in studying God's word. In all my years of Bible study and preaching God's word the Ryrie Study Bible is the best study Bible I have found. I have recommended this Bible to many people and they all have enjoyed it also. It will help you to understand the Bible. It has a very detailed section in the back on Doctrines of the Bible, it also has detailed maps and outlines of the chapters. If you are interested in studying God's word this is the Bible for you.

We've used the Ryrie Study Bible since the early 80s. It's excellent for everyone who's interested in learning the Word of God in a more specific way. In the back of this Bible, there are important theological topics regarding the key doctrines of the Bible. Also the annotations, notes and everything else are arranged for easy understanding, and the information is precise. A great number of important subjects can be found and referenced quickly. It's always exciting to open this Bible. It's certainly money well spent. And every student will be spiritually enriched by the wealth of information found in the Ryrie Study Bible.

I would highly recomend this version to anyone who wishes to do any serious study of the Word. Two key things to look for in selecting a good translation are quality and clarity. The NASB-U has plenty of both. Read it, study it, know it, learn it, live it!

Fantastic, in-depth, footnotes, cross-references, concordance, with quality comparable to the best-selling Life Application and NIV Study Bibles. Footnotes written by one man, instead of a large team of scholars, resulting in footnotes that relate to each other, from book to book. Recommended by several clerks at our bookstore, Christian Book and Gift, in Lawrence, KS.

A biblically based look at spirituality, which the author defines as the goal of all Christian living. The book looks at some basic biblical concepts, personal responsiblities, and practical issues affecting Christians today. The study guide in the 25th Anniversary edition really complements the text by providing an opportunity to evaluate your own spiritual life topic by topic. It even allows room for those who might disagree with some of Dr. Ryrie's conclusions to develop a scriptural rationale for their positions.

Dr. Ryrie, a careful, seasoned theologian, was written this book in a warm, personable, devotional style that lends itself well to readers who are being introduced to theological study. I have found his chapters "Money and the Love of God"(8), and "Temptation"(13) to be particularly helpful to the 15-25 crowd. His chapter on dedication (7) has been useful to a wide range of readers. When looking for follow-up/supplimentary discipleship material, this book has frequently scratched where this pastor has itched. I would happily recommend this resource.

As a pastor, I have recommended the Ryrie Study Bible since it was first released in the later 1970's. The revised edition is even better than its predecessor, with in-text maps, charts, and Ryrie's most unique feature: prolific interpretative notes at the foot of almost every page.

When folks ask me Bible questions as their pastor, if I do not have the answer in my head, more times than not the notes provide the answer (makes me look good!). And the maps and indexes are unique.

The Ryrie Study Bible is doctrinally based upon a literal view of the Bible. It is Dispensational, Premillennial, Eternally Secure, and Non-charismatic. But Evangelical Christians of various positions will find it very helpful indeed. The best study version of the best Book of all time!

This is a great Bible to study, great footnotes,very user freindly and well constructed. A great Bible for a beginner or a scholar to own in a library for reference.

I am a layperson.

The depth of the commentary and the fastidious cross-referencing in the margin has made this Bible the gateway for my growth as a Christian. The maps in the back and other commentary at the beginning of each book create a depth of understanding in my Christian experience that I find too infrequently from the pulpit.

The commentary has great life application elements and historical references as well.

The Ryrie Study Bible Expanded Edition is truly an excellent study bible. In addition to clear and detailed notes on every page, this bible has some of the best explanatory charts and tables I have found in any study or reference bible.

Each book in this bible includes an extensive introduction with detailed notes on authorship, date, contents, an outline, and a feature I especially enjoy, a graphical timeline for that book. Also included is a sizable concordance, and over a dozen detailed full-color maps depicting the Holy Land from the Old Testament through Christ's ministry and Paul's journeys and up to present day.

If I had to recommend any one study bible, this would be it. I would especially recommend it for anyone in the ministry or actively evangelizing. The wealth of reference material in this bible makes God's Word not only easier to understand, but also easier to explain to others. Also available in King James Version, I give the Ryrie Study Bible Expanded Edition my highest recommendation.

I don't have this specific book. However, the 1960 Reina-Valera text is readily available and easily understandable to someone with a reasonable knowledge of modern Spanish. (My native language is English. I studied Spanish in high school and college.) I do have a Ryrie NASB Study Bible. His study helps are available with numerous English translations as Ryrie Study Bibles. Given the excellent quality of his study helps and of the RV translation, this should be an excellent Spanish-language Study Bible.

Ryrie was a Professor of Systematic Theology at Dallas Theological Seminary for many years and is one of the foremost Dispensational theologians of the 20th Century.

Mr. Ryrie's book is practical, has variety, is based on scriptural truth, is easy to adapt to your cultural situation, and helps teach more clearly, dificult to explain, christian life truths. It is easy to read and easy to use.

The footnotes in this standard King James Bible are plentiful and lucid. Many people will also find the extensive thematic index very useful. I am disappointed that Ryrie didn't include a major Topical Concordance, but I'm about to purchase Strong's, which I believe will perfectly compliment Ryrie's exceptional study Bible.

I have to admit that I am something of a study Bible collector, I'm afraid. However, with all of the Bibles I have, when it is time to teach, or put together a lesson, my NASB Ryrie is the one I reach for. First of all, I love the layout of the text. It is two-column, with the cross-references on the outside margins. When I look at other Bibles, the text layout does not seem as easy to read as the Ryrie.

Ryrie's book outline is presented in the introduction of each book of the Bible and then is found throughout the book as well. The notes, though not as extensive as some might like, are unobtrusive yet helpful.

The concordance at the back of this Bible seems to be a pretty good one and the articles on Bible doctrine are great.

I highly recommend both the NASB and the Ryrie for serious Bible students and teachers.

This is an excellent NASB Bible. There are many notes and references that help a lot when preparing for Bible lessons or studying. Again, this is an excellent Bible.

I have used a Ryrie Study Bible for years, and the combination of the NAS translation with Charles Ryrie's notes is wonderful. The new expanded edition is filled with even more well done maps, information, and important asides to the Bible. This is a wonderful edition of the Holy Bible, and would make a wonderful addition to anyone's study.
