This is not an addendum to the first book but rather a cut to bone manual that focuses on the exam objectives. While it may appear that the small manual is nothing more than questions and answers, after reading the text I found it provided more than just bullet points.
There is over 200 questions with detailed explanations to work with as well as a cd-rom, using the highly successful, Boson testing engine with an additional set of practice questions. Used as a final preparation tool or as a supplement to The CISSP Prep Guide, either way you have a great study tool.

Do not confuse this series with an average graphic novel. 6 years in the making (with some chapters taking over a year to develop), Mr. Roach's incredibly well written 900-page-epic is full of incredibly complex and well thought out characters, plot twists, action, and overall adventure. Somehow, through all the plots twists and turns, he manages to never lose the reader, nor contradict himself, all the while linking the story back to various prophecies.
Mr. Roach is clearly a scholar, and both his research and creativity shine through on every page.
While the art is at times crude, and while on a graphical level he may not be as good as others in the industry, he makes up for it and even goes beyond it through his storytelling and incredible plot. In the armageddonquest series, the black-and-white art is there to compliment the story, not drive it, and in this way, Mr. Roach has created a comic book that really sucks you in.
900 pages is a lot for any man to write, and a 6 year project is enough for a life's work, but I certainly hope this is not the last I see of Mr. Roach's work. I'm hooked.

"Bertrand Russell, who by any standard is one of the leading intellectual figures of the twentieth century. He was one of the very few leading intellectuals who opposed World War I. He was vilified, and in fact ended up in jail, like his counterparts in Germany. From the 1950s, particularly in the United States, he was bitterly denounced and attacked as a crazy old man who was anti-American. Why? Because he was standing up for the principles that other intellectuals also accepted, but he was doing something about it.
"For example, Bertrand Russell and Albert Einstein, to take another leading intellectual, essentially agreed on things like nuclear weapons. They thought nuclear weapons might well destroy the species. They signed similar statements, I think even joint statements. But then they reacted differently. Einstein went back to his office in the Institute for Advanced Studies at Princeton and worked on unified field theories. Russell, on the other hand, went out in the streets. He was part of the demonstrations against nuclear weapons. He became quite active in opposing the Vietnam War early on, at a time when there was virtually no public opposition. He also tried to do something about that, including demonstrations and organizing a tribunal. So he was bitterly denounced.
"On the other hand, Einstein was a saintly figure. They essentially had the same positions, but Einstein didn't rattle too many cages. That's pretty common. Russell was viciously attacked in the New York Times and by Secretary of State Dean Rusk and others in the 196Os. He wasn't counted as a public intellectual, just a crazy old man. There's a good book on this called Bertrand Russell's America."

I liked the book very much. I liked that newer information is included like wireless networking HIPAA and other topics.
I think the book is about 100 pages too thick. One can literally rip out the first 99 pages and not loose any content. The first 99 pages are all the questions. The rest of the book are the questions repeated again along with the answers. I couldn't help but think someone went out of their way to create a bigger book knowing that all the information could've been covered in fewer pages.
Since the original CISSP Study Guide is also formatted this way I guess it's okay, but it still wastes a lot of paper IMHO and more than likely adds to the cost of the book.
Call it a pet peave I guess. Other than that, a great book and highly recommended.
