Lots of paper
It's good to get study questions from an authority. Since this review is pre-CISSP test I can't speak to the value of those questions. I'm certain they'll be right on target though.

I liked the book very much. I liked that newer information is included like wireless networking HIPAA and other topics.

I think the book is about 100 pages too thick. One can literally rip out the first 99 pages and not loose any content. The first 99 pages are all the questions. The rest of the book are the questions repeated again along with the answers. I couldn't help but think someone went out of their way to create a bigger book knowing that all the information could've been covered in fewer pages.

Since the original CISSP Study Guide is also formatted this way I guess it's okay, but it still wastes a lot of paper IMHO and more than likely adds to the cost of the book.

Call it a pet peave I guess. Other than that, a great book and highly recommended.

Great followup to the Gold Edtion.
Russell Dean Vines and Ronald Krutz have yet another first rate manual; for the CISSP exam. The authors have gone the extra mile to produced a book that an additional studsy guide companion to their already successful CISSP Study Guide.

This is not an addendum to the first book but rather a cut to bone manual that focuses on the exam objectives. While it may appear that the small manual is nothing more than questions and answers, after reading the text I found it provided more than just bullet points.

There is over 200 questions with detailed explanations to work with as well as a cd-rom, using the highly successful, Boson testing engine with an additional set of practice questions. Used as a final preparation tool or as a supplement to The CISSP Prep Guide, either way you have a great study tool.

Adds what the original CISSP Prep Guide lacked
Advanced Q&A is exactly what was needed as a companion to the CISSP Prep Guide. The questions in the original Prep Guide seemed too easy, and these are definitely not easy! It has been suggested to read the Prep Guide and answer the All-in-One questions, but now with the CD included, that's not necessary; Advanced Q&A is a complete study solution.

Absolutely Fantastic!
While most marketing books talk at a very high level (targeted towards high-level managers in the organization) this book is the first of its kind that talks at the implementational level. This is a MUST READ for anybody interested in putting together action plans that can be used to get some real-world real-work done. I cannot stress enough how helpful this book has been to me in putting together my marketing plans (product/service based, product/service line based and brand based). Whats fascinating is how easy it is to read this book and quickly start to formalize executional plans. It covers varied topics in small concise chapters detailing different methodologies and where they can be applied. Topics covered range from competitive sets, industry analysis, customer analysis, forecasting markets, segments and everything a marketer needs to develop working marketing plans.

I constantly keep coming back to this book to evaluate how I am organizing my action plans and if I'm doing the right thing (from a process perspective).

BUY THIS BOOK AND BUY IT NOW.

Slammed-Full of Marketing Information!! A must read.
A whole marketing planning course into 200 pages! I am a MBA who was required to read this. This should be required reading for anyone in business - students and professionals. It covers everything from Competitor Analysis to Market Potential and Forecasting. You can become a marketing guru in less than a week.

Put the Armageddonquest series on your "must read" list...
Without a doubt, Armageddonquest is not only one of the best comic books that I have read, but also one of the best works of fiction I have been overall.

Do not confuse this series with an average graphic novel. 6 years in the making (with some chapters taking over a year to develop), Mr. Roach's incredibly well written 900-page-epic is full of incredibly complex and well thought out characters, plot twists, action, and overall adventure.   Somehow, through all the plots twists and turns, he manages to never lose the reader, nor contradict himself, all the while linking the story back to various prophecies.

Mr. Roach is clearly a scholar, and both his research and creativity shine through on every page.

While the art is at times crude, and while on a graphical level he may not be as good as others in the industry, he makes up for it and even goes beyond it through his storytelling and incredible plot. In the armageddonquest series, the black-and-white art is there to compliment the story, not drive it, and in this way, Mr. Roach has created a comic book that really sucks you in.

900 pages is a lot for any man to write, and a 6 year project is enough for a life's work, but I certainly hope this is not the last I see of Mr. Roach's work. I'm hooked.

Excellent for research, not something to curl up with...
This book is an excellent resource if you're looking to do any type of research, it would also be perfect to use as a ready reference tool for identiying certain species, but it is written in a dictionary type of style so it is not an incredible easy read.

You can enjoy the primates world with this book!
Before I got this book, I didn't know about pramates at all. Because I didn't have much interest to primates. And now I'm interested in primates, and want to know more. On this book, there're many photos and stories about primates. You can enjoy primates world with this book.

Russell's America
I got to this book by an interesting quote of Chomsky's. Here it is:

"Bertrand Russell, who by any standard is one of the leading intellectual figures of the twentieth century. He was one of the very few leading intellectuals who opposed World War I. He was vilified, and in fact ended up in jail, like his counterparts in Germany. From the 1950s, particularly in the United States, he was bitterly denounced and attacked as a crazy old man who was anti-American. Why? Because he was standing up for the principles that other intellectuals also accepted, but he was doing something about it.

"For example, Bertrand Russell and Albert Einstein, to take another leading intellectual, essentially agreed on things like nuclear weapons. They thought nuclear weapons might well destroy the species. They signed similar statements, I think even joint statements. But then they reacted differently. Einstein went back to his office in the Institute for Advanced Studies at Princeton and worked on unified field theories. Russell, on the other hand, went out in the streets. He was part of the demonstrations against nuclear weapons. He became quite active in opposing the Vietnam War early on, at a time when there was virtually no public opposition. He also tried to do something about that, including demonstrations and organizing a tribunal. So he was bitterly denounced.

"On the other hand, Einstein was a saintly figure. They essentially had the same positions, but Einstein didn't rattle too many cages. That's pretty common. Russell was viciously attacked in the New York Times and by Secretary of State Dean Rusk and others in the 196Os. He wasn't counted as a public intellectual, just a crazy old man. There's a good book on this called Bertrand Russell's America."

A fantastic refererence for your HVAC/R library
I love the way the author set this book up. You gradually build on what you learn and never really feel that you are being thrown in to hard. The writing is fantastic. Not to difficult in technological terms for the novice and yet levels with the seasoned veteran just right. When you complete a chapter , you are introduced to a " In the field scenario" service call. You imagine yourself at the call working out the problem in the component. You see how to step by step, use the common sense approach to troubleshooting and gain good skills in those procedures. The calls vary from simple to very complex. One thing is for very certain. You will enjoy having this book in your professional HVAC/R library.
