This is not today's silicon valley IPO thriller that an unprofitable company is worth $50 billion overnight. This is a book about a company in a competitive emerging market that survived and thrived.
Digital has an irreplacable place in computer history. When IBM missed the minicomputer trend, Digital took it. Then both missed the PC trend (first IBM, then Digital). When Apple's order processing system run out of capacity, they was put on wait list for Digital's PDP-11.
It is an interesting reading for anyone who is interested in computer business and history in general. Even if you are not going to become an entrepreneur in the computer business. The lessons in the book can be invaluable.

It is not even worth the shipping charge.

The book delves into facets that others don't. It has a sample contract which is very thorough. The verbage in the book about clients is very strong, almost bullyish. I wouldn't simply make a copy and show it to a client. The section that gives a list of expected photographs is very useful. Many of the poses and techniques kindle imagination and are very helpful as a quick refresher course.
The book seems geared toward an experienced photographer interested in handling weddings. The equipment checklist in the back of the book sounds more like an everything plus the kitchen sink list, and many beginning photographers will not have anywhere near that much equipment.
All in all, I'd recommend this book in a heartbeat. Its drawbacks are insignificant in comparison to the benefits.

Gay men, almost intrinsically by nature, are predominantly promiscuous, failing at ever attaining and nurturing something meaningful or ever-lasting. Gay relationships are not like their heterosexual counterparts of growth, success, stability, and true equal partnership. Instead, its based upon looks, financial opulence, and the hopes an open relatiopnship will definitely happen after the initial "romantic" spark has long flickered out . . .
I commend the author for his analytical and structural prose. He makes a bold attempt at telling the reader what to do and what not to do -- such as accepting a guy with set attributes, like smoking, and not aiming for changing such characteristics. However, to assume and bestow credibility that other gay men out there yearn for a committed relationship (especially in this information age of "online gay bars" like personals and "chat"-rooms) and how to go about it is an actual disregard to a reader's integrity at best.
