An awesome accompaniment for my favorite movie.
Although the words don't match exactly from the book to the movie, due to ad-libbing of the actors, this book is a must-have for any fan of The Big Lebowski. This book will make you laugh as much as the movie did.

Entertaining as scripts go...
One of the Coen Bros' best works. Their twisted world is never more hilarious as it is here.

A Must!
This scriptbook is essential to the uncompromising Lebowski fanatic. Great for neighborhood plays too! An easy way to study the simply brilliant use of dialogue found and recycled throughout the film. What's more, the cover image is far out and would make a great poster.

Even in medical malpractice the best remedy is prevention!
Though published in 1985 through Washington University Press, this small wonder of a book by Dr. William Robertson still resonates through today's litigious healthcare environment with jewels of wisdom for today's physician, risk manager and anyone else wishing to avoid being sued for medical malpractice. Utilizing the Socratic method employed by educators of lawyers, Dr. Robertson clearly utlizes real case examples to show how to alter or eliminate certain risk exposures that lead to physicians and hospitals being sued for medical malpractice. The 30 specific analyses of specific risks and how to beneficially alter them that are contained in the Appendix are simply invaluable. The topics discussed range from "head injury monitoring" to "multiple M.D.'s writing orders" to "outside lab reports" -- all of which are directly applicable in today's litigious healthcare environment. A "must read" for all healthcare risk managers, physicians, dentists, and hospital administrators. Yes, there is a logical way to reduce risk -- and Dr. Robertson shows us how by applying the scientific method to loss exposures, with wonderful results.

Nice overview of an under-appreciated artist...
At just over 100 pages, William Robertson's biography of k.d. lang is an easy read and a concise account of her rise to fame up through her "Ingenue" release. Drawing heavily from both Canadian and American magazine articles, Robertson gives us a revealing look at this eccentric vocalist.

Speaking as a first-person witness to lang's early career, Robertson escorts us through the landscape that has shaped her direction thus far. Robertson touches on the events and people that have had a defining influence on lang's life, from her roots in Consort, Alberta through her training at Red Deer College, and her arrival on country music's doorstep. He briefly explores the mindset of traditional country music and relates lang's struggle for recognition within that framework, as well as her successful segue to the broader palatte of adult pop music.

As a very new fan who knew little of k.d. lang, I enjoyed this account of a unique woman whose single-minded tenacity has vindicated her undeniable talent. While the opus of k.d.'s career is far from over, her story so far is one of triumphant providence!
