Expected More
Based on the reviews, I expected more. If you want a checklist of the most rudimentary things a sales consultant or S.E. should know - this is a good source. While I doubt anyone could argue with any of the things the authors say, most of what they say is so obvious and non-debatable that the question is - was it worth saying?

Essential Reading For Systems Engineers
An easy read which effectively identifies the keys to being successful as a technical consultant / systems engineer within a sales team. It effectively discussed the challenges of professional sales of high-tech products with software content.

Of note:
- The Technology Life Cycle is discussed, and the roles of the Technical, Economic, and End-User buyers during the cycle.
- Objection handling is discussed: Philosophical , Feature, and Benefit objections.
- The Seven Deadly Sins are discussed: Lying, Arrogance, Overconfidence, Lack of Organization, Taking the AEs role, Poor Transitions, Letting External Problems intrude.

I have encouraged this as recommended reading within my company.

A must have for SE's
I came to the "Sales Consultant" position from consulting, and before that I was a developer. Regardless of the position, if you are involved in pre-sales, this book should accompany you as a resource wherever you go. What has taken me countless trial and error was covered in the first few pages. My only complaint is that I'd like to have seen a summary of the material at te end of each chapter - there's just too much good info in each page to remember it all. This material is so valuable for sales consultants that I'm quite honestly at a loss for words to describe it. So, you're next click should be on the purchase button.

I found out that I actually like Tim Burton.
I came by this book by accident, and enjoyed it immensely. I have not even known before that my favorite movies had Burton in common.

By far the best book on Burton
It covers everything you could possibly wish to know about the films, and even provides a summary of one I'd never even heard of - Luau. This isn't even listed on the IMDB, and no other books on Burton mention it, but they've got an interview with Rick Heinrichs (the guy who designed Sleepy Hollow and worked on Luau) about it, so it must be for real!

It's really well written too, and pretty amusing in places - the level of research is amazing - they even give notes showing where they got all their info from, so you can check it out for yourself. The stuff they got from Martin Landau and the two guys who wrote Ed Wood is incredibly interesting - a load of stuff I'd never heard about that film - some that isn't even included on the DVD's commentary.

Basically, this book's great. I'd read Burton on Burton (which is very good), that Pocket Essentials one (which is pretty good), that biography (which is really poor), and the "CHild's Garden of Nightmares" one (which is interesting, but doesn't cover nearly as much detail as this). NOne of these other books on Burton come close to this one.

Fantastic and Informative!
I'd recommend this book to anyone.
It is a great analysis of each of Tim Burton's movies. It is written clearly and has information which I haven't read in any other Burton book.
I'm not just becoming a Burton fan, I have every other book on Tim Burton and I believe this one to be the best and most informative.

The book may not have the authors comments, but it is written in so much detail about each Burton movie that it doesn't matter.
If you want to find out more about Burton then this is the book you should get.
The book also includes quotes from people who have worked with Burton and from the man himself.
The length of this book proves that much time and effort went in to write this, and I think it was worth it.
I have found out some new things about some of his movies from reading this book.

So in my opinion I think this book is really worth buying!

Enchanting and faithful to James Fenimore Cooper
From the book jacket, "Inspired by _The Last of the Mohicans_ by James Fenimore Cooper," _Last of the Breed_ is part of the "Adventures of Wishbone" series. Wishbone, a perky Jack Russell Terrier, connects modern-day events with books he remembers "reading." In this particular adventure Mr. Leon King, a local real estate developer in Wishbone's home town of Oakdale, wants to build a Tastee Oasis fast-food outlet on the edge of the town park. He gets permission to do so, by nefarious means, from the Oakdale Town Council. The moral of the book, from which Wishbone draws parallels to Cooper's novel, is that the land is important and progress (in the form of fast food outlets) isn't measured by paving over every available inch of landscape. What is especially impressive about Steele's treatment of _Mohicans_ is that he is truthful to the original. He does not gloss over the violence (he includes a throat-slashing and the Massacre at Fort William Henry), nor does he try to change the ending of Cooper's novel. Wishbone even says, "I had forgotten how sad the ending of this story is. Let me just take a moment..." before moving back to the "triumph" over Mr. Leon King. _Last of the Breed_, while certainly not a substitute for Cooper's _Last of the Mohicans_, is certainly a good primer for reading Cooper's novel. Moreover, it treats readers, both children and adults, to a throughly enjoyable ecofriendly story. Well done, Wishbone!

Ok, but not as informative as I would have liked.
It has excellent diagrams and stuff, but it's way out-dated. This is a good book for people who don't know anything about knee injury yet.

Oracle WebDB Bible Feedback
The book is well written focusing on the fact that the product is fairly new. Oracle WebDB Bible covers material to get anyone up and going in a hurry (regardless of your web development experience), with meaningful examples and lessons that really teach. Oracle's own WebDB manual is limited to installation, with little emphasis on details. Without the Oracle WebDB Bible, I could not have made my project a success. Jim Milbery has also been very helpful with specific questions on topics not covered in this edition of Oracle WebDB Bible. It's worth every penny!

Great Starting Point for New Users
For those who are new to WebDB, this is a very good starting book. While the lack of demo product on the CD might be considered a problem, you can easily download the database and the WebDB (current versions!) from technet.oracle.com; this should present no big problem for anyone.

The book provides a good step-by-step approach and takes newbies through all the steps to create a functional demo system.

The authors should not and can not be held against the wall because Oracle has so quickly released new, improved versions (book talk to 2.0 and 2.2 is the current version). I find the comments from the few negative reviews to be baseless.

This is still the best and only book that provides the needed information that the Oracle documentation does not address.

Oracle WebDB Bible
Great book. Helped me get started quickly. Filled with insightful technical detail, while still easy to use. Well written - would recommend.
