Genuinely interesting and entertaining autobiographical account of the author's life and experiences as a professional medium (clairvoyant) and spiritual healer in London, England (close to Wimbledon actually, but tennis doesn't feature strongly!).

Quite profound at times, and often very deep, marred only by an, at times, slightly stilted way of sentence formation. This is probably accounted for by the fact that the English Language isn't her native one. In fact we have here a multilingual medium.

Although she does mention some of her appearances on TV and radio across the globe, it's refreshing to read a book of this type that isn't simply a cynical exercise in making "a name" for herself.

This book will not be to everybodys taste, but persevere and you will be rewarded, and like all truly good books it is definitely worth re-reading.

Muslims are, for a very good reason, skeptical of the Western acedemic treatment of Islamic tradition. This is because Orietalists, having little or no understanding of the context, have come to some of the most goofy conclusions about Islam. In their brilliance they have decided to attack this mysterious religious tradition for the sake of the "civilized world". This work however is a break from that sad tradition. In it the author, John Renard, translates text dealing with the science of tassawuf (purification of the heart). It is a broad study and its treatment is gentle. I would recommend it for readers who are searching to enlighten themselves about the spiritual science that has been highly inspirational to many within the Islamic tradition and without.
