Sister-Sister, Brother-Brother!
I think this book relates to the WB-Sitcom very much! I got this book when I was in the 3rd grade, and being as little when I got it, I read it untill this very day in Junior High.. LOL, I Finally completed it this summer (it usually doesnt take me that long to read a book, I just litterally stopped reading it, and then brought it back again) But it is real interetsing for preteens.

Good but not great
I usually enjoy Janet Quin-Harkin books but this book was pretty good execpt I didn't like how it ended. I like that Rick broke up with Joanna because of their bad tempers and then went out with Angie. And the ending was how do you say a little corny.

Two troubled teens are thrown together in a "doubles" tennis tournament in Australia. Right from the moment their paths cross, it is hate. They can't spend a minute together without losing their tempers. Can they leave their defenses down long enough to become friends (or more)?

Which is more important, friends or a boyfriend?
Jamie is a junior in high school and has two best friends, Mariah and Kelly. At the beginning of the school year Jamie has a boyfriend of her dreams, at least she thought she did. He was popular, funny, nice, and good-looking. When he invites her to his beach party for a weekend and her parents won't let her go, he goes instead and cheats on her. She is so devastated, that her friends and her decide to make a vow to never have a guy in their life until they graduate high school. They decide to worry just about themselves, and not to worry about always trying to impress other guys. When Jamie goes to work in Carmel as a nanny for a 6 year old brat, she never would of thought to really meet the boy of her dreams. Jamie knows that Griffin is sensitive and kind, and would never cheat on her like Tom did. She's sure that he loves her as much as she loves him. Griffin even stays the whole summer with Jamie instead of only staying for a week. If Mariah and Kelly find out that she broke the vow, she will lose their friendship forever. On the other hand, if she makes sure she doesn't break the vow she might lose her first true love. What will she do? If you like a suspenseful romantic book, then you will love ON MY OWN.

not just for young adults
I read this book when I was in my mid teens, i am now in my 20s and picked it up agains when going through a box. while is is directed towards middle school or early high schoolers, I found that it was still engrossing. The main character is a modern girl who reluctantly visits her grandmother in England and is told the story of her family. A little hokey at times, but i didn't think so 6 years ago. Great book for a girl who is interested in history!

Boyfriend Wars
I think that this book was a bit boring at times. The plot slowly began to make sense to me as the book went along. It would be a good book for teens & preteens. I enjoyed reading it very much and it tells you what kind of life the normal Teen-ager lives.

3rd TGIF! success? Maybe..
Yeah, it was OK, but then it's always a happy ending! Since reading the first in the series, I enjoyed reading the rest! Anyway, about the story, does everything have to go right? I liked the part on the prank calls, though!

An Okay Book!
This book, I would say is not the best book in the whole entire world. But it's one of those books in my opinion I would say okay. Some parts of the story are ridiculous, but it was an okay book.

Okay but not great. Writing for younger audience than plot
The book is okay. I wouldn't reccommend it to anyone over the age of 11 or 12. It's about a bunch of freshman who are OBSESSED with finding boyfriends. It is very juvenile and I can't imagine freshmen acting that way. It is not very realistic, but it makes a good book for people under 11 or 12. In terms of writing I would compare it to Sweet Valley Twins Elementary, or Babysitter's Little Sister books and in terms of plot, I would compare it to Sweet Valley Twins Junior High and Babysitter's Club books. The series is really a mix between the two.

In the first chapter of the last paragraph, it describes how these two girls Toni and Julie look. What happens in the story is that Toni and Julie are bored this summer and wanted something to do. So Toni says to Julie, "Who ever dates 10 boys at the end of summer is the winner!" You'll have to find out what happens in Ten-Boy Summer. The Author is clever and different when she writes.
I recommend this not to children under 10 years of age. If I could rate it 1-5 stars it could be 4 ½ stars. And this is a two thumbs up! People that would like this book are people whom like romance, friendship, and dating. I like this book, because of the first time I read it I was obsessed with it being my favorite book.
