Though the book claims to be a "Super Adventure" don't believe it, this book is just another "Choose Your Own Adventure" story. Volunteering to go through an experement where you are put to sleep for 1000 years you find that earth has been taken over by a tyrant. Fortunately, Venus and Mars are inhabitable and still reasonably free. Your mission is either to just survive or, if you're feeling adventurous to stop this tyrant once and for all! The one thing about this book that is different from all others that I've read is that there is only ONE ending that says you defeat the tyrant, there are a few ways to get there but they're almost the same.

While the book is called "You are a Shark" that is only one of thie things you become in this story. By entering a forbidden temple you have angered some ancient force which decides that you must no longer have your human life. Therefore you are transformed into several different animals. Every now and then you may change from one animal to another without your choosing and others you return to the temple and you can have slight control over what you become next. It's a good story for those that have ever wanted to be something else or just like reading up about animals.

And for a bit of trivia, Packard made a mistake! One of your incarnations is that of a mosquito. It claims that you are enjoying a meal of blood but mosquitos don't eat blood! They eat nectar from flowers, blood is only consumed by the females so that they can lay their eggs.

The story line for the different adventure were all right, ifyou don't mind getting hurt by one of them, but most of the picturesin there were gross! Like a bunch of whose spider-ants with covering you & a bunch of you team to get the queen. And other about seeing a rabbit get caught in the wed of it & watching it being eaten alive! I think you should find another book, unless you like things being eaten alive!
