Very detailed, yet not very detailed.
I had a problem with the idle speed on my car, so I bought this book to fix this problem myself. This book was very detailed to help me find my problem. My problem was electrical in nature, and this book instructed me how to do a self-diagnostic. I performed a self-diagnostic and found out the particlular electrical code which was causing my problems. Good. But this book did not tell me which part needed to be replaced in order to fix the problem. I assumed I had to replace the ECM, so I looked it up, and this book told me how to fix and replace everything related to the fuel system except how to replace the ECM. So, now I'm back to square one. In trying to learn more about the electrical workings of the car, I tried to read about all the different systems which proved to be a difficult task because this book scatters information about particular elecrical systems throughout various sections of various chapters making the learning of these electrical systems a task as difficult as fixing most problems on my car.

Electrical plan
I have a problemm with light inside my Cadillac Fleetwood Broham 1993 and signalling into left door.

3 1/2 Stars -- Entertaining But Not Very Memorable!
Due to its close, albneit fictitious, association with the show and its producer (Lorne Michaels), the plot of Saturday Night Dead kept me involved in the story moreso than it would have if it was a straight mystery centered around a made-up TV show. However, while the story holds your interest, it is somewhat contrived and the believabilty of some of the characters requires a big stretch of the imagination -- especially, the main character, Harvey Blissberg, who shortly after retiring as a professional baseball player becomes such an adept private-eye that he's able to solve a murder case that the NYC police department can't begin to get close to solving. All this aside, if you're in the mood for a very fast read and a mystery that holds your attention, you could do a lot worse than reading Saturday Night Dead.

It kept me laughing and wondering.
I loved it! I couldn't stop reading because I wasn't bored by it.

Business Analysis Using Regression: A Casebook

GOOD FOCUS, POORLY PRESENTED
This book has an interesting premise of focusing statistics for business at the mid-level using the JMP software. The concepts addressed are the right ones, even the order is good.

However, on the downside, it is very difficult to read. The cases are not well explained. This book is used at Wharton's 1st year core course in statistics and the general agreement is that it is very hard to comprehend it. I recommend an editor to the authors.

Ford maintenance manual
I have used chiltons books for many years for different model cars and motorcycles. Do you also provide a CD with maintenance manuel type information. At our local auto parts dealer I've seen CDs maintenance information. I understand from the store employee that the CD is much more comprehensive and has better pictorial details. I'd like to get some more information on the CD. Thanks, Eli Elias

OK manual, but THINNER than I expected
I actually needed a manual for a 1991 Pontiac 6000, but this worked for details on how to replace part of the front suspension for a relative. I thought somehow this was bigger, but is is about 6x9 inches. Make sure that you realize what changed after the 1988 cutoff date for this book. Models after that year had fuel injection, and perhaps computer changes, etc. so getting this book for a later year might not work for you, but it did for me.

Big mistake
I bought this book, but sent it back immediately. Unless you're a screenplay-writing-student, this book is of little value to you. It literally goes like this:

Man screams: AARGH! Woman cries: What are you doing? Couple leaves room.

All in all: think carefully if this is what you need. Don't buy it just for the scary cover!

Six awful screenplays
Not one of these stories was the least bit frightening. Some of them are so jaw-droppingly bad I can't believe the authors actually allowed them to be published without using pen names. Many of these screenplays bear all the marks of first-time screenwriters: boring protagonists, antagonists acting without any apparent motivation, page after page of dull padding... I can't list even the obvious problems in the 1000 words I'm allowed here. The writing styles range from Stephen King's "creative asides" which attempt to educate the reader in the art of screenwriting by telling us what to write instead of showing us, to Ed Gorman's rip-off of William Goldman's style (next time he should rip off a decent story, too). In all, the book includes four feature-length scripts, two shorts, and one 50 pager. In the title for this review I said "Six awful screenplays;" the seventh is a short by Harlan Ellison which isn't exactly horror, but it's a cute little murder story with a surprising yet inevitable ending. That and Dean Koontz's introduction are the high points of this book.
