Save your money.
You know, typically people don't make you pay to read their advertisements. This is an exception. Each of the self-serving articles in this book is followed by a 1-2 page advertisement for the author that, not surprising, offers a service to solve the problem outlined in the article. How convenient! This book is a glorified collection of vendor-sponsored white papers.

More Secrets, More Success
This book was a valuable resource. Many tid bits of info that can really make a big difference for your success.

Sad
I, too, was very disappointed that this was a lesbian-love-story collection. I would have liked to see it marketed that way. I hid it under my bed so my roommates wouldn't think I fantasized about them or something. Then I finally threw it away. I guess if you are a lesbian it would work for you.

Niche market book
I was disappointed to discover, after having purchased the book, that it is a collection of Lesbian stories, not my style. Reading it anyway, I found the stories somewhat shallow and cliched.

Differences In Love
Without question this is one of the best books I have purchased in a long time. Each story was unique, I really enjoyed each view. It made me cry, it made me laugh at other points. Through reading all that came to mind was "I have to remember to do that. How romantic. Dang! I didn't know that was even possible." I could really relate to these stories. I wanted so much to experience what was being described. It gave me a new view on my life. This is the path I have been searching for. This is the life I want to partake in. This is me.

pretentious
Don't waste your time or money. Everything-the characters, plot, etc.-was not believable. It was a chore to get through this "novel".

okay enough
This was the first novel I read by Barbara Taylor Bradford. I agree with the reviews that say it is alright when you just want to make the time go by (good for a long flight or to read lying in the sun). I'll give the author a second chance, since I'm sure others are better, but despite all the good things, thebook was rather disappointing.

Not her best, but ok....
I don't think there will be any BTB books that equal her trilogy, "A Woman Of Substance", "Hold The Dream" and "To Be The Best". In my opinion, those three were phenomenal. I've read a number of her books, but I just consider them light entertainment. I heard this one on audio CD, as I travel quite a bit for my job, and it really passes the time while driving. "Angel" did just that, passed the time. Agreeing with others, yes, it was predictable. There was no closure to a few subplots but the reader, Lorelei King made it quite enjoyable to listen to. I'm not sure that had I read the hard copy, I would have liked it nearly as well. All in all, not bad, just not great.

Don't bother reading this book
I read this book for a Sociology class and was not impressed. The book contained many factual errors. More importantly, the book is offensive to any moral person. The author took every opportunity to beat up on religious people and their beliefs.

I don't think that it's unreasonable to assume that the author is a devout socialist. Furthurmore, the author did a good job of accusing white Christian males of causing all of the world's problems. I would highly recommend that you don't read this book.

Limited textbook on marrige and the family
This is the standard textbook for studying marriage and the family, unfortunately. It is quite a good introduction with interdiscplinary perspectives from thee authors, but their underlying definition of "family" is inherently flawed. The traditinal "family" definition is not covered, nor are alternatives to contraception and abortion like chastisty and nurturing women who want to keep their baby.

Someone needs to write a similiar textbook without this underlying bias. I hope there is a publisher out there that will agree.
