This is book contains the best bird photographs I have seen. The photographer has some of the most unusual shots of birds. The pictures capture the birds in there normal activities. The text was well written especially keeping the order by seasons. Great job I hope to see more books by these authors.

A remarkable clear and concise description of Southern coastal birds by seasons of the year. This unique classification will allow even the novice to identify and enjoy migratory birds. Fontenot and Miller's work will enable the entire community of bird watchers to share appreciation of this National treasure. Two species that come to mind are the common blue bird and the rare sand hill crane which we enjoy in the Northern Summer.

The photography is a tour de Force in the Audubon tradition and the bird and habitat description could have only been done by a seasoned birder with years of on site experience. As a bonus Birds of the Gulf Coast is a coffee table quality book. epa

I never had a devotional book that completely covers the life and gospel of Jesus in every page. J.R. Miller brings me in knowing the Lord daily in His life on earth and how we should also emulate our Lord in our lives. This book draws me in applying the gospel of Jesus in my daily life. No life experiences have we that Jesus never experienced and overcome.

I highly recommend this book for your devotional library. 365 days meditating on the life of Jesus. The book is also handy to carry and has a nice cover and title. A nice gift to your close friends.

One of the few accounts of the Mexican War, Kirkham's journal contains many unique descriptions of U.S. military activity. He graduated from West Point in 1842. After serving on garrison and frontier duty, he participated in the Mexican War, where he was took part in the battles at Contreras and Clmrubusco and was wounded in the battle of Molino del Rey. He was noted for gallant and meritorious conduct in the storming of Chapultepec and assisted in the capture of Mexico City. While in Mexico he was one of a party of six American officers who climbed to the summit of Popocatapetl which hadn't been climbed since the time of Cortez.

(This review refers to Volume One only.) Asimov has collected eight stories in this anthology that were influential in his own writing. Asimov read most of these stories when he was about 12 years old, being fortunate enough to devour most of them from pulp magazines that were sold in his father's candy store. As might be expected with any anthology, some stories are better than others, and some have held up better through the years than others. Yet these pieces are not included for comparison to current stories, but to show what Asimov read as a young person and how the works influenced him. Asimov's mini-autobiography alone is worth the price of the book. After each story, Asimov tells how an idea or a concept from a story led to the formation of one of his own works. A very interesting idea. "The Jameson Satellite" is a forerunner of "I, Robot," and "Submicroscopic" is a small step from "Fantastic Voyage." As mentioned by another reviewer, the reader will have to deal with several prejudices from the time these stories were written (especially racial), but overall this book is a great insight into what makes Asimov Asimov.

This collection of early, pulp-style scifi works is a great joy. Asimov's introduction to the stories is exceedingly interesting and helpful. The stories sometimes show flaws or problems in their writing and in their attitudes (while several stories are forward-looking, most show the racism and misogyny common to that time), most of the stories are entertaining and all of them are interesting from a historical perspective. Check it out if you can get your hands on it, it's a great find. I really got a kick out of several pieces, which run the gamut from more reasonable 'conquered man, driven underground, strikes back at his evil alien oppressors' to the completely ludicrous story about the planets of our solar system hatching into giant space chickens. (That last story is meant to be taken seriously, by the way.) A veritable laundry-list of great, long out-of-print authors and some wonderful writing from the early days of popular science fiction.

This book contains the good old stories from the 1930's. There is nothing great here, but it is till worth reading. You can see the evolution of the Science Fiction field by reading the stories in this book.

I utilized the second edition of this book while studying under Dr. Vasta at SUNY Brockport. This book, along with his teachings gives insight into the various steps that a child goes through in becoming aware of his or her surroundings and growth.

Being a new parent this book helped me to understand the development of my daughter. It covered conception all the way through 12 years of age.I found this book very interesting to read. I liked how each of the early psychologist works were clearly defined and explained to you. I felt this book was very easy to read and understand.

This book is excellent. It is loaded with information on 30 Utah mountains. The description for each mountain includes hiking time (a range for both fast and slow hikers), distance, difficulty, starting elevation, elevation gain, USGS map, trialhead, Camping, tips and precautions, the hike, background, and where to find more information. The book also includes various pictures for each mountain and two maps including the mountian and how to get to the trialhead. The book is not only helpful as a guide but fun to read and enjoy the pictures. I have found it to be the best all-round guide to Utah mountains on the market.

If your goal is to 'bag' the highest peak in each of the counties listed, then this is THE book to use. While not as thorough as Kelsey's (and the authors admit that, because the goal is to make it simple) the information provided is more than sufficient. The photos don't really show the routes (like Roach's Colorado books) but do give the 'atmosphere' of the climb. I've done a few out of the book, and plan on doing the rest as time allows. I think it's a nifty idea, and would recommend it to anyone with any experience level at all in the mountains (and especially anyone who wishes to drive to the top and sit on the roof of the car to gain more altitude ;).

This book claims to have certification tips and questions.Truth is it does not. I donated the book to a guy in a training session as he was planning to buy one. I am glad i got rid of the book. The guy to whom i donated passed the donation to another prospective buyer. The best source for certification questions would be sites like sapfans where you can get much more help for certification and FREE!!!

This book was of enormous help to me in my certification pursuits. The only problem is that this book is always sold out because everyone wants a copy of it!

I hope there is more stock of this book and that the author writes another edition of this book as it is the only SAP book I could ever find that covers everything I needed.

Really terrific resource that is very highly recommended for anyone interested in getting certified in SAP R/3.

As an implementation guru for SAP systems, this is the one book I actually did find useful to my work in the various industry sector segments for SAP R/3 implementations.

All I can tell you is that this is a really excellent book and I highly recommend it not only for certification, but for pretty much anything involving SAP. It really is quite extensive and very informative about everything I needed.

Instead of providing a dry recitation of rules and regs, this book takes an anecdotal approach to securities compliance rules. Its story-telling approach is useful in helping both securities producers and compliance professionals understand real world concerns.

Although not an in depth study of the securities industry, this book is highly recommended as a primer for compliance issues. It is also one of the easiest books on the topic to read. Overall, time well spent.

This book really covers the ASAP program with a very high level of detail. We were very impressed with how this book was put together. It covers everything we needed to go live rather quickly with SAP R/3.

I found Mr. Miller's AcceleratedSAP book offers the BEST nd MOST detailed level of information regarding SAP.

Nobody else had written solely about ASAP!

Without this book we confidently feel our company could NOT have started our AcceleratedSAP program.

In all honesty, this was the clearest book written about SAP.

I send many kudos to the author who took the time to compile this MUCH NEEDED RESOURCE!
