Hilarious Book about Seder
What I like most about this book is that it is so differentfrom the average Jewish children's book. Instead of going through theseder and what each thing symbolizes, it tells a humorous story about a girl worried that there will not be sufficient seating at her family's seder table. Its a funny book, that just happens to occur during Pesach. A real treat.
A great story in rhyme for the younger set (ages 3-8)
A very clever poem about celelbrating the Seder when there is not enough room. Especially nice for non-orthodox families because the characters could be us and the traditions referenced in the book are probably familiar to most readers even if not orthodox. And the last line of the book makes me smile time and time again. I think I may it enjoy it more than my children. Get it. You can't go wrong.

Practical, Simple and FUN!
As the former director children's church at my church, I heartily recommend this book. The lessons are straightforward and easily understood and the craft/visual aids are simple and won't have you running all over town to find the components. If you don't want to weigh yourself down with bulky curriculum every Sunday, give this a try. Great for family time too!
A great resource book for children's sermons
There are several things I like about this book. The every-day, easy to find objects used in the sermons are items that children in my church quickly identify. The stories are interesting to adults and children and I don't have to add much to them. There are also special occasion lessons, such as Father's Day and Super Bowl Sunday. The book includes both a scripture index and a topical index that I found very helpful.

Moms & dads: Don't eat out without this book!
I bought "Blue's Memory Scrapbook" for my 2-year-old on a whim. The reusable stickers are adorable (and plentiful). I have packed this book in the diaper bag and let my daughter play with it when we eat out at a restaurant or when we're on a plane--any time I need her to keep quiet. She'll spend 45 minutes or so just sticking and re-sticking the stickers on each page and explaining what each sticker is. It really holds her attention. It was truly a terrific purchase!

Very Neat!
As a Gentile, I had very little knowledge of kosher foods before reading this book. It is very cleverly written and is almost too catchy to read it silently. The book has helped me better understand the practice of eating kosher foods.

A remarkable translation of an astounding book
Rabbi Worch's translation of the difficult, poetic Hebrew of the Rebbe of the Warsaw Ghetto captures the power and essence of the original text. For people who have been yearning to read the teachings of the Piacezna Rebbe, Kolonymous Kalman Shapira, this book is worth the wait.

Lame
If this is the best book on Director, I'd switch to VB. There are numerous obvious errors in the text, that even an intermediate user could see was wrong. The artwork in the examples is quite poor. The Lingo coverage seems like it was written by someone who doesn't know how to program. Even worse, they seem like they were written for Director 5, and don't take advantage of Director 6 features.
The Director 6 reference
Keep this one besides me while coding...
Makes finding that problem's fix easier.

Great Bible stories for kids
Parents normally introduce their kids at a much earlier age to fairy tales books than to the Bible. Why? Because the text is just too complicated to explain to the young minds.
Thanks to this 101 Favorite Stories, it is now a lot easier to introduce our kids to the wonderful bible stories. Each page contains one summarized story of an important bible event (including corresponding verse) & opposite its page is a colorful illustration that will captivate a young mind & hold its short-spanned attention. What's even greater is that, this book holds stories both from the Old & New Testament.
Just be careful when you let your toddlers read/view this book as the pages are not cardboard material & can be torn by small excited fingers.

Not bad as Rough Guides go
This book has a succinct introduction to San Fran. I found it an excellent guide to the city. The "contexts" at the back put it all into perspective, too. The dim sum recommendations were good too!

too little useful information in too many pages
This book is essentially the corel draw manual rewritten for people who like to read, and read, and read and... There is a little bit here one could not get from the manual but it is buried in excess explanation. CorelDraw X the official guide gives you much more and for a lower price. For advanced study go to Corel Draw Studio Techniques and Corel Draw F/X. These are books written by people who actually use, write about, and even teach Corel Draw. The difference is amazing
Easy to follow, even advanced users will pick up useful tips
I find the book to be informative & useful, we have several different levels of Corel 8 users in our home/office, and the instructions are clear enough for beginners to use without insulting the ability of the more advanced user. The book really builds up the fact that there are "samples" in the book and on the accompanying CD, however I was disapointed in the samples & the CD, which is really full of dead end demos & a couple of photos. As a more advanced user, I prefer: Coreldraw 8 : The Official Guide by Foster D. Coburn, Foster R., III Coburn, Peter A. McCormick, a better book & extras thru the website...like tutorials & seminars taught by the authors. I attended their seminar recently & I have read both books, like the later better...but, if you are fairly new to Corel 8, then I personally believe that The CorelDraw 8 Bible is easier to work thru...I'd compare it to taking classes in school, clear format & easy to understand.
Very helpful and easy to read
The Coreldraw8 Bible was extremely helpful in guiding this first time user through the steps to use Coreldraw 8. The writing was easy to read, the steps clearly stated and illustrated, and many helpful short cuts were included. The index was extremely well arranged, which to me is a an extremely important tool with reference such as this. CorelDraw 8 Bible made using Corel MUCH easier.

Helpful Guide
This book is geared mainly towards young teenagers whose parents have just come out. It is helpful for its target audience in providing support and tips on dealing with difficult situations as far as homophobia is concerned and also provides a fairly extensive list of resources that children can contact to meet others in similar situations

The poem has barely more than 200 words, but hilariously recounts the arrival of guests--while counting their 19 noses, 38 thumbs, freckles and the hosts' insufficient chairs. It wanders through places they might find seats, including "in the attic,/ Or on bookshelves in pairs,"... "in the sink/ Soaking suds with the pans," camped out "in the carport" or in "empty trash cans."
For the Kiddush (blessing the wine) the family will stand, so that's no problem, but the child narrator knows that sitting down for the meal will land "half on the floor." He thinks of stacking everyone in one chair, and reading "the Haggadah/ Sing songs filled with hope,/ With one book at the bottom/And a long periscope."
I won't spoil any of the glorious special effects. Suffice it to say, readers will delight in the book's dipping of greens, funny hiding of matzah and hysterical asking of four questions. (Even Elijah brings a laugh.) Children also love the simple pen and ink drawings that bring this light-heartedness to life. Alyssa A. Lappen
