I Loved It!
Murder by Volume is simple yet interesting. It is truly a must read. The role reversal of the two main characters is priceless. I hope Ms. Meredith will grace us with more of the same. Carolyn Hart, look out! Those who enjoyed Death on Demand will not want to miss this one.

Very enjoyable.
I have read nearly all of the books by this talented author. John Lloyd Branson has become one of my favorite main characters. I have searched the local bookstores for more of this series but have been unable to locate any other than the ones listed, and I have read these. I think that D. R. Meredith is a very talented woman and her characters reflect the essence of Texas. I have suggested her books to many people who are interested in reading material written by Texans.

Fine form
Excellent combination of mystery, comedy, romance and drama -- with a touch more realism than is comfortable, perhaps. Readers who have followed Lydia and Sgt. Larry Jackson through the course of the John Lloyd Branson series will be pleased as well as surprised at the turns their development reveals. Enjoy!

I loved this book. The story of one woman who would fight against all odds to be free of an over baring father and an abusive husband in a time when woman were supposed to honor what a man tells them. She loved and lost alot to gain a respect for herself. I could not wait for the sequal to be out to find out more about Maddies fight to be independent. This is a must read book.

"Cowboy Justice is a nonfiction masterpiece that shows us a lawman who enforced the law because the Rule of Law was sacred to him. There was no sense of personal gain or selfish career building, nor was there a sense of power for power's sake. Gober deserves a place beside Earp, Masterson, Garrett and others who gained fame for their law enforcement. And yet, he almost stands alone when it comes to greatness tempered with courage and humility." ---Michael Martin Murphey
