For years I have wanted to read the Chicken Soup series, but finances being limited, I had to wait until my mother bought me Chicken Soup for the Mothers Soul. What a tremendous delight.....I fully intended to only read a story a day so that it would last a while, but within 24 hours I had consumed every story in the book. My heart feels lighter and my thoughts began to look on my life as a mother and how my children percieve me. It makes you want to strive for the ultimate goal....to be a mother remembered with love and admiration. I am a fan of Chicken Soup for life.

I had heard about the books from a friend at work, and got three for Christmas (Woman's soul, Woman's soul II, and Mother's soul). I don't normally enjoy reading but could not put the books down, in a matter of a week, I read two of them. They are absolutely wonderful. The Chicken Soup for the Mother's soul, WOW, what a book! It's awesome, and the stories touch the heart. Some of them even bring tears to my eyes. I recommend these books to anyone and am forwarding the Mother's soul book onto my mother.

This book is GREAT...As a mother of an 10 & 12 yr olds, this book makes me realize how thankful I am to have kids. Any Mom will understand & enjoy these stories. They made me laugh and they made me cry. This is my 1st Chicken Soup book, my daughter has one also, now we have started a " book collection " that our family will enjoy reading together for years to come. Take the time to enjoy a GREAT selection of books.

This book is a MUST read, even though I am a HUGE Reba fan, and somewhat partial!! It is the story of her life, and the lessons she learned while growing up in Oklahoma, as well as, her rise to fame as one of country music's leading ladies. It is the ONLY book that she has had anything to do with writing, with the exception of the upcoming, "Comfort From A Country Quilt" (I CAN'T WAIT!! :-), and therefore, is the only completely true account of her life. I loved this book...It will make you laugh, it will make you cry, and I HIGHLY recommend it!!!!! It is a fantastic book!!!! "Forever Love" You Reba!!

For anything you want to know about Reba's life, this IS the book to read. I was not fond of country music of any kind, until I read this book. Now, I am a HUGE Reba McEntire fan..one of the biggest, because I gained enormous respect for her for bringing the truth out to all her fans. This book is funny, sad, sometimes surprising...but always well written, straight from the heart. You will enjoy this book, and the audio is great too because she reads it herself! I highly reccommend it.

I recommend this book to everyone who loves to read it is a great book.. I have been a reba fan for years and when I got her book I read it about 1000 times.. there is alot of lessons in there about life and things and alot of Uplifting stories to boot.

I feel very fortunate to have this book as it is now out of print. I bought it in 1993 at a book store and just ran into it on a whim. I enjoyed the book as it had a lot of information about Reba and her journey through life so far. Up to this point I have every book that has been written about her and find this one to be very informative.

Luckily for me, my husband found a copy of this book in perfect condition at a used book store. I cried while reading it. They were both tears of happiness and tears of sadness. The book talks about her life as a young woman followed by her start in Nashville all the way through to her darkest moment when her crew's plane went down. It also goes into some of the acting she did in the 1990's. I truly enjoyed this book. If you are a Reba fan, it is a MUST have. Enjoy!

I just love this 2003 Reba calendar! There are some awesome new photos inside, plus some great ones from her Greatest Hits Three Photo Shoot! :) A must have for any Reba fan!!!

Reba has really changed my life and has made me a beleiver in finding my dreams and trying to achieve them. I am a really big fan of hers. Every song of hers just gives me the want and the fight to go on in life. Her book Starting Over is a book I could just read over and over again so thhat is why I am buying another for my best friend, and try to give her my will and strength to go on in life and why we were put here on earth. She has done it again! Reba's talents are non-stop but most of all her energy, her enthusiasm, dedication, and family orientation makes what she does so inspiring. This is shown not only in her music but also in how she is able to write down from memory what her past and present life was/is like. She did a ravishing job "piecing" together the memories of living life through family, friends, and music. Comfort From a Country Quilt is written in a way that speaks to the readers and inspires them. Her use of "country-style" words and phrases in the stories she tells literally makes the book warm, down-to-earth, and original. From the different autobiographies I have read Comfort From a Country Quilt is and always will be the best written because Reba writes in a "free-style" way. Reba skips the big terminology and tells her stories as if you were actually having a "back porch conversation" with her. Not to mention, having the audio version of Comfort From a Country Quilt, where Reba reads her own writing, gives the book that finishing touch. Reba has that voice that brings animation and character to the stories she tells. I recommend this book for everyone to read and get a touch of what life is filled with; you are here inspiring and being inspired through what you encounter through family, friends, and inspirations like Reba.

I'll admit it -- Anything Reba gets my vote. I guess I just have a thing for redheads, but I'm always eagerly awaiting the latest Reba CD or video, and I swoon for weeks whenever she comes to my city to perform. So a CALENDAR? I'm THERE! Month after month, Reba looks back at me from my wall. Need to know if I have an appointment? Reba will tell me. *snicker* The truth is, I get Reba calendars every chance I get. Some are better than others. I wish the photos in this one were slightly more focused (they were taken from her Singer's Diary tour, an EXCELLENT show), but each shot brings back that magical night when I was allowed along for Reba's trip down memory lane. From the Star Spangled Banner to her band's unfortunate end, it was all in the show, and it's all in this wonderful calendar! If you're a Reba fan, this calendar is a must-have!
