She's the MANN!
Catherine Mann is so incredibly talented at characterizations that it is easy for the reader to forget her hero and heroine are fictional. In WEDDING AT WHITE SANDS, Ms. Mann seamlessly weaves a story about two entralling characters. The interactions between Jake and Allie are snappy and sexy. Jake, with his tortured past, is believable and manly. Ms. Mann has tapped into the male psyche. The story is fast-paced and suspenseful. A true page turner.

An impressive first book by an author who is sure to be a bright shining star in the sky of novelists.

Fresh Voice in Series Romance
I have read a lot of series romances over the years and this was a refreshing read. I stayed up late reading it because I just had to know what happened to these two wonderful, complex characters. Catherine Mann peels away her characters inner conflicts and motivations one satisfying layer at a time throughout the book. The chemistry between the two characters is tastefully done without losing the sexiness.

Looking forward to her next release!

My favorite of 2002!
Catherine Mann's Wedding at White Sands is a wonderful read. Filled with characters that are charismatic, lovable and sexy it's no wonder that this is my favorite book of 2002.

I feel very lucky to have discovered her and can't wait to read her upcoming Wingmen Warriors series.

So if your are craving a very satisfying book, a book that will make you laugh, cry and sigh over an enthralling plot, sizzling sexual attraction and a hero to fall in love with then make sure to run to the stores to get your copy of the highly recommended Wedding At White Sands.

Characters who grab your heart and won't let go.
It's so easy to see why Catherine Mann is one of the hottest risign stars around. From the first word to the last, this book pulled at my emotions. I cried, but it was happy, make-your-heart-swell tears. What wonderful, deep, rich characterization! Col. Zach Dawson is as much of a real life hero as you can get, and heroines don't come with more backbone and love than Julia Sinclair. I can't wait to get the rest of the Wingman Warrior books now. If you like an intense, emotional read with a real slice of military life and a beautiful, happy ending, don't miss the series!

Wow!
Lt. Col. Zach Dawson might know how to run a unit, but he's having a heck of a time running a family. This divorced father tries to juggle his daughters and his career, but feels as if he's dropping too many balls, and his daughters are the ones who suffer.

Julia Sinclair lost her husband a long time before his airplane went down. But this young widow is determined to build a happy life for herself and her infant son. Zach comes up with a plan...a plan that will help him with his daughters, and allow Julia extra time at home with her baby. A marriage of convenience. A business arrangement.

But sometimes business plans can fall to the wayside when love enters the picture!

A fantastic, heart-tugging read by Catherine Mann!

Winner of the WordWeaving Award for Excellence
His ex-wife's departure did not break Lieutenant Colonel Zach Dawson's heart, but he did resent her abandonment of their daughters when she ran off with her cooking instructor boyfriend. Shelby, a rebellious teen, feeds her mother's international food offerings to their increasingly overweight dog while eight-year-old optimist Ivy eats every confection in hopes that it means her mother will somehow be with them. Only Julia's help with the girls has kept his family together. But his responsibility to her deceased husband Lance Sinclair overshadows any friendship they might share.

Raised in a commune, Julia found the life as a reserve Air Force pilot stifling. She had fought a loosing battle to salvage her marriage with Lance, only to loose him anyway. Eight months later she bore his son, a child afflicted with Down syndrome. Overwhelmed by the responsibility and needs of her young son, she accepts Zach's sudden proposal so that she might quit work for a year to care for her child. In return, Zach needs Julia's help with his daughters. Unfortunately, both have underestimated the damage such an arrangement might inflict upon the heart.

Author Catherine Mann pens a lively, entrancing read in UNDER SEIGE, deftly capturing life's challenges with finesse and grace. Mann's characters sparkle, including newborn Patrick whose Down syndrome neatly balances the challenges presented by Zach's daughters, especially the troublesome Shelby. Julia's free spirit radically defies Zach's military perfection, yet together they balance in a heart-stopping story readers will find impossible to forget. In addition, Mann boldly captures the heart stopping challenges a pilot's wife faces, including the dreadful fear of the knock on the door with the announcement that a pilot will not be returning home. A remarkable read that belongs on the keeper shelf, UNDER SEIGE earns the WordWeaving Award for Excellence.

Excellent Reading Material!
Being someone who is not an economist, but having interest in topics such as the Current Account deficit, the Balance of Trade, the Trade deficit, The Capital Account surplus, etc... I had always wanted an explanation about these relevant issues. So when I read this book, I was quite amazed at how lucid and clear the information is for people like me (Engineers who don't want to go back to college to get an Economics degree). I highly recommend it for those who always wanted as non-biased an answer as possible on what EXACTLY does our Trade Deficit mean to us and future American generations, without the bias others like Pat Buchanan (a protectionist), or the CATO institute (free traders all-the-way) would give.

An intense military romance
Air Force pilot and flight surgeon Grayson "Cutter" Clark fears nothing. Even the trip to war-torn Sentavo to rescue war orphans doesn't bother him. Yet when Lori Rutledge joins his crew as the NGO operative, she nearly brings him down. Now he must rescue the children, and avoid becoming emotionally attached to the woman he left nearly a year ago.

The fates intercede, as Grayson gets another girl in his life, a young orphan named Magda. She quickly becomes a unwitting cupid between the two, and slowly Lori and Grayson begin to realize that the spark they felt over a year ago is still strong. Is this flame of passion strong enough to make their love eternal, or will the blaze die in a glorious sensual moment?

GRAYSON'S SURRENDER offers a sweet yet steamy romance, with a hero to love and cherish, and a woman brave enough to face a war zone and a child who can't speak English. The minor characters also enhance the overall plot, from the talkative and often fun-loving Bronco, to Grayson's parents who have troubles of their own.

Military romance fans will enjoy the pure intensity of the details, including a sudden decompression. The emotions flowing between the two and the pain of loss and injury strikes like a lightning bolt. It leaves one begging for another blast, a second helping of pleasure and a simple delight. Catherine Mann has begun her career in grand style, with all elements firing off without a hitch, so expect big things from her in future novels. -- Jo from Author, Author!

Fantastic new series!
Lt. Grayson Clark is fearless...except when it comes to relationships. But no relationship, no woman, ever affected him the way Lori Rutledge did. Even after a year without her, he can't shake the thought of her. And when they're sent on a mission together, all those all feelings flood back.

Lori broke her own heart a year ago when she left Gray. She doesn't know if she can live through that kind of pain again. But how can she walk away from this one last chance with him?

Catherine Mann delivers a fast-paced, touching story of rediscovery as Lori and Gray find what they were meant to have all along...love. I'm looking forward to the next book, Taking Cover, this November.

A jewell
When I taught English, I often found students becoming what "they read;" therefore I carefully selected literature designed to elevate their sense of possibilities and to illustrate characters (and authors) who had no inner compass or clarity. The same dynamic remains true for adults. If I remember this author's credentials correctly, her Master's Degree focused upon dramatic literature, particularly William Shakespeare. This classical education I find evident in the mental images she creates - Her characters actually "move" within the reader's mind with the vibrancy and speed of a Shakespearean drama. For readers who enjoy romantic fiction, I recommend this well constructed and fast paced book. It weaves not only a unique plot, but also leaves the reader with personal questions, "Am I in a box?" "When did I crawl into this box?" The writer offers, not just a glib romance story, but a more profound statement on what it takes to live "happily ever after." A "To be or not to be" questioning at the end, resolves quite nicely, but not without personal examination, a sacrifice of false pride, and a commitment to move forward. Alessandra

The first Wingmen Warrior heroine...she's gutsy!!
Darcy "Wren" Renshaw is a C-17 co-pilot and she desperately wants a war-zone flying mission. However, her overprotective General father has her landed with an assignment far from the action she craves. Now, she is stuck with transporting a marine biologist and his dolphins to Guam. Darcy can not help but be attracted to the biologist even though he shows no mutual interest in her.

Max Keagan is actually a CIA officer, working an undercover mission on a Naval marine program. He has past personal issues which makes him reluctant to share the attraction he feels for reckless, free spirited Darcy. Plus, he does not need her interferring in his top secret mission. When Darcy is threatened by the same person that killed his lover years ago Max is faced with his past loss and he refuses to let history repeat itself by taking away what he holds dear. Max now has a future to fight for!

I have to say that I get such wonderful feelings after reading Catherine Mann's books. I don't know if it is strictly the patriotic pride I feel for the military of my country or if it is just because this author's books are so fantastic....well I would have to say a combination of both. Each "Wingmen Warrior" book is different and special in it's own way.

PRIVATE MANEUVERS is the first of the four "Wingmen Warriors" to feature a heroine as a member of the special C-17 squadron and she is definitely a heroine to remember with her feisty free spirited nature that snags the hero long before he knew it. And the hero.....WOW!!!!!! From his sexy spiked hair to his flamboyant beach wear, he will snag reader's heart as surely as he did his lady's. This story is a must read and it will kick start your desire to find your own hunk to frolic with on a sandy beach. Catherine Mann has earned her spot by Suzanne Brockmann in military romance. Max and Darcy's story is beyond fantastic!!

Hooray! Catherine Mann does it again!
I must confess that I've been a fan of Catherine Mann's work since her debut novel, WEDDING AT WHITE SANDS, so I wasn't surprised to discover yet another wonderful novel by this talented author. With this latest installment in her "Wingman Warriors" series, Ms. Mann has snagged a special place in my heart as one of my favorite auto-buy authors.

PRIVATE MANEUVERS once again proves my faith in this author's ability to write action-packed fiction with equal parts emotion, suspense and humor.

Darcy "Wren" Renshaw is a fiesty, memorable heroine, while Max Keagan is the kind of strong, sexy hero reader's will remember long past the time they finish the last page.

One of the many exciting features in this fourth addition to the "Wingman Warriors" series is that we are introduced to our first female member of the C-17 squadron. Darcy is competent, strong and likable in spite of the fact that she suffered a frightening past trauma that still haunts her in the present. Rather than turning her into a victim, Darcy's past makes her both sympathetic and endearingly vulnerable to the reader.

Max doesn't come into the mix as a perfect hero, free from issues. He has his own tragic past that threatens this couple's happy-ever-after ending.

Like I said earlier, Catherine Mann has done it again! The suspense element will keep the reader guessing until the end, but the pay-off is amazing.

They'll leave you breathless!
The series tag line for the Wingmen Warriors isn't kidding about leaving you breathless... I adored this fast paced romance with a unique Guam setting and new Air Force characters to fall in love with. Max and Darcy are a dynamic pair who definitely deserve their happily ever after. Of course, Ms. Mann weaves in hints of upcoming Wingmen I can't wait to meet... Captain Daniel Baker sounds like surefire hero material to me. If you like action and miltary romance, Catherine Mann is an auto buy.

An intense and powerful read -- Highly recommended
Twelve years ago, a forbidden kiss stirred the souls of Tanner Bennett and Kathleen O'Connell. On that ill-fated night, Tanner learned of the carjacking, rape and murder of his beloved twin sister. In his darkest hours, Kathleen's kiss was a lifeline. These days Tanner lives by the squadron motto, "Anything. Anywhere. Anytime." He knows that nothing he does will bring his sister back, but good deed is like a smoothing balm over a raw wound. So being grounded by now Captain Kathleen O'Connell for pinched nerve frustrates him to no end. Especially when he is only six weeks from his rescheduled upgrade from copilot to aircraft commander.

Kathleen believes that Tanner is as stubborn as he'd been at the Academy his freshman year. She had been in junior year, and their forbidden kiss could have had them both booted out of Academy. Their current clashes are legendary, and this latest grounding simply underscores their irritability toward one another. Unfortunately, their Squadron Commander overhears their arguing and gives them a new assignment. For the next month they will work together to investigate a C-17 accident. By getting away from the rest of the squadron, eating together, riding together, playing together, and spending every waking hour with each other things should settle out. Or not.

Author Catherine Mann provides another powerful look at the people behind the uniform in TAKING COVER, the second novel of the "Wingmen Warriors" series. Kathleen is like a warrior goddess, independent and fierce. Tanner has fierce need to serve and protect, driven by the death of his sister. Their clashes spark strong chemistry, and their time together exacerbates the situation. Indeed, close proximity brings about strong emotion and intense motivation that results in violent clashes and wild need. The next book of this "Wingmen Warriors" series, UNDER SIEGE, will be available in February 2003. An intense and powerful read, TAKING COVER comes highly recommended.

Page-turning!
The last thing Kathleen O'Connell wants is to go on assignment with Tanner Bennett. He's annoying, aggravating and argumentative...and that's only the A's. Yet, she's stuck with him until the assignment if done. Cpt. Tanner Bennett's personal mantra was never leave your wingman. He let his guard down once before with horrible results. Kathleen might not think she needs him on this investigation, but she does and he's not going anywhere. As a matter of fact, her need, as well as his, might go just a bit deeper than the investigation...it might go much deeper than either one of the anticipated.

Intrigue, emotion, action...this book packs a wallop. Catherine Mann's Taking Cover is a page-turning tale that will get your blood pumping as it warms your heart.

Wingmen Warriors saga gets better & better!!
Kathleen O'Connell is a by-the-book Air Force doctor who has learned how to deal with top-gun pilots. However, there is one flyboy that has slipped past the professionalism she embraces. Captain Tanner "Bronco" Bennett is a hot shot pilot that Kathleen is forced to ground while he recovers from a back injury and he does not take her diagnosis kindly. Their witnessed disagreement gets them paired together on an important mission to investigate a C-17 accident which turns dangerous. Bronco and Kathleen are both strongly dedicated to their military careers but also have a shared history from twelve years past. Now as they delve into the investigation, the attraction they feel for each other grows, and their lives, as well as their careers, are on the line.

TAKING COVER is another five star Wingmen Warrior story and the epilogue was one of the most warm-hearted, feel-good endings I have ever read. Bronco was an ideal hero, strong, sexy, endearing, good-looking, and honorable. I hope all the heroes in the C-17 Squadron are half as fantastic. For outstanding military romance be sure to add Catherine Mann to your book shopping list!

Fluffy Novel for Escapist Fun
I love romance novels, so it's not that I demand high quality in my fiction reading, but I couldn't bring myself to give this novel more than 3 stars. This is the story of a young and troubled heroine who finds happiness, business success, and fortune in Washington DC through work, friendships, and the murder of her lover. Sheridan Burk is our heroine and it's hard to identify with her character. It may be because she isn't described in detail, or it may be because she is so stupid to keep an affair going with a married man; perhaps author Mann would have been better off concentrating on Michael and Nori (read the book and see if you agree with me). Still, the novel kept my interest to the very end....and the end is happy!
