Good resource!
"They Signed the Constitution" by Elizabeth Levy has become an excellent resource for me to use in the classroom. I teach 7th grade social studies, and we spend 1 quarter of the year on government. My colleague and I have used most of this book for the past 3 years to supplement the rest of the material we use. We have also created a worksheet to be used with it. Students take turns reading aloud in class from this book. They find it easy to read and easy to understand, definitely not the dry textbook we're used to reading! I recommend this book for elementary and junior high teachers teaching government, as well as students looking for an easy way to understand part of our early American history.

"A Fun Summer Book!"
I am an elementary school librarian, and I have always found this book to be a crowd-pleaser! I enjoy reading it to first graders every year before school lets out for the summer. The children love the idea of a sandcastle contest and a salami-loving dog! The fact that they can help solve a mystery adds to the fun. I find some of the lingo in the story to be a bit dated or not great to use as a read-aloud so I slightly adjust it as I read. But overall, this book is guaranteed to keep your audience happy!

the title didnt make scene
I dont know why they called it the case of the mind-reading mommies. I would have called it the talent show, because at the and of the book theres a talent show I gave the book 3 stars because the title didnt make scence. my favorite part was the talent show

This book was WEIRD!
If I was the author of this book I would have changed the title because it had nothing to do with mind-reading. I would have called it Kate and the Month of May because it all took place in the month of May. I rated it 3 stars because it not the best book or the worst book I've ever read. My favorite part was when they had the magic show for Mothers Day.

oooookaaaaay......
All that I have to say that this book left out A LOT of stuff. Don't get me wrong, I am a HUGE fan of Star Wars, but everyone who reads this book deserves to know more than what this book tells them.

Pretty good...
This book suffered from the same things the movie did--namely, a lack of action. The book even left out some of the major parts, like a great deal of the space-based assault on the second Death Star, and instead concentrated on intangible elements like the Force. Don't get me wrong--I like the Force--it's just that it does not lend itself to description in a book.

Not very good
I'll admit this book is for younger kids, but I have to say that it was not very good at all. Even when I read it for the first time when I was ten years old I didn't think it was very good. The characters are all faceless and boring, except for Han who is hugely exaggerated. The writing is also boring and unimaginative, and very undiscriptive. Children ten and under probably won't care, but adults and older kids such as myself should stick with Young Jedi Knights, and some of the adult novels.
