The MacKenzies: David
This one is about Cynthia, the long lost cousin of the MacKenzie brothers.

Cynthia meets Cleve and his wife in Europe and discover they are cousins through their fathers. Cynthia is on her way home after a 2 year tour of Europe to be with her ailing father. When she gets home to Colorado though, no one comes to greet her at the station but David Kincaid, a straight-laced railroad engineer!

From the beginning, Cynthia delights in unmercilessly teasing David to no end. He disagrees with her even coming home after being gone so long, disagrees with her starting a school for the construction workers' children, and even her teaching methods!

The man is so exasperating, that all they do is fight because of their stubborness when it comes to each other which leads hot making up sessions and straight into love!

Ana Leigh gets better with every MacKenzie book! I'm so glad she decided to continue the series! I highly recommend all the books in the MacKenzie series!

Pretty hot!
I liked it right from the beginning. A lot of it was funny. Were the others about the brothers good?

Good addition to this popular series
In 1877, Cynthia MacKenzie began a tour of Europe in a futile attempt to find some excitement. The only break in her enervating lifestyle is meeting for the first time in Paris her Texas cousin Cleve and his spouse. After two years on the continent, a still bored Cynthia learns that her father is ill and decides to return to her family home in Mackenzie, Colorado. To her surprise, no family member or ranch hand meets her at the train station. Instead, David Kincaid, an engineer working on constructing a new railroad, takes her to the family ranch.

Soon Cynthia finds the strait-laced engineer a joy to tease. They also disagree over Cynthia's decision to become the teacher to the railroad workers' families, educating boys and girls. However, soon her original friendly harassment turns into an abiding love for both of them if they only can learn how to reach out to one another.

One of the most exciting western romance series of all times was the Mackenzie trilogy (LUKE, FLINT, AND CLEVE). Absolutely awesome Ana Leigh opens the Mackenzie trilogy II with the story of a cousin, Cynthia, which contains the same fast-paced, tension-filled, and romantic story line that became the tademark of the original series. The characters are all wonderful and the return of Cleve and Adrianna adds a nostalgic connection to the first series. Great news for fans of American historical romance is that the Mackenzies are back and are as superb as the originals were. Readers will impatiently await the next two tales, starring Cynthia's siblings.

Just magnificent. A piece of art by one of the greatest artist of the asian continent.

Manga Star Wars is here to stay!
Finally, we can have the last of the three parts of the Manga Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back. As always, spectacular drawing and the best version of the Donald F. Glut script ever made!

Star Wars for everybody!
Just when we were enjoying the marvelous comic book of A NEW HOPE, the manga version, Toshiki Kudo strikes back with this spectacular version of the sequel of the trilogy created by George Lucas. The price is a little elevated, but the drawing is excellent. A must-buy book!

Very refreshing and worthy of reading.
This book does not deserve to be that low on the sales rank. It's fresh, it's about looking with a different perspective at business. If you like Tom Peters, you'l definetly like this one.

WHAT A RELIEF
I have been a paralegal specializing in landlord-tenant relations for a good number of years and I can recommend this author and his book whole-heartedly. Many times I have turned to it's pages. I believe I have quite a few revised versions and will continue to purchase every time he revises. Good work, Leigh, keep it up.

I first read an older edition of this from the library, and immediately ordered the current edition. If you are going to own only one book on being a landlord, this has to be the one. Very easy to read and understand, and every bit of advice is practical and do-able. Not a book on how to get rich in real estate, but how to get the most from rental property you own without going nuts, whether its a spare sleeping room or a 200 unit multiplex.

Excellent guide for beginners.
I read this book for a research paper and was surprised that I became interested in becoming a landlord. It is clear and understandable. It offers all the necessary forms for tenants and also ways to document property condition, remove tenants, etc. A must for landlords!

A vital first book for optimizing success as a landlord
This book was very thorough in dealing with the multitude of decisions a landlord has to make. Practically all small details and major concerns are addressed. The forms are of great value for the beginner who has none. One could learn from trial and error at some expence and head-ache or they could utilize this book to hit the ground running as they start landlording or just become better at it. The only draw back is that about 1/2% is subtley influenced by the laws and practices of California, paricularly the forms. But, this is not major at all, and can be overcome by learning your own state's statues on rental property. This book is not merely about landlord law but how to be a prosperous landlord. The landlording techniques for dealing with tenants makes this book invaluable! Overall, it is the most usefull book I have read on this subject.

A Must-Have for any fan of Dark Shadows!
When I was a young lad, I used to run home from school to watch Dark Shadows, that most excellent Gothic horror television program that ran from 1966-1971. Though the show has been off the air for many years, I never forgot my fondness for the show. Now that it is available on tape and DVD, I am back into it. My pleasure was made complete when I got a hold of a copy of this book.

This book contains everything I could want: interviews, pictures of the cast and settings, a list of characters, a list of actors, a list of storylines, a timeline of the story, a timeline of the show itself, and so much more! I would love to list everything that is in this book, but it would take me far too long! Suffice it to say, this is a great book, and a Must-Have for any fan of Dark Shadows!

4 1/2 !! Perfect when paired with "Dark Shadows Memories"!
I'm relatively a newcomer to "Dark Shadows," fell in love with it from the start, and have been catching the episodes on the Sci-Fi Channel ever since. It was wonderful to learn about the history of the show from these two books. The technical aspects of the show fascinate me, and much info is supplied on how the show was made, etc. There are character/actor lists and descriptions, behind-the-scenes anecdotes, tons of interesting trivia, bloopers list (it's fun to see the mishaps that happen on camera - the show was done live-on-tape...), some great photos, and all kinds of interesting info on the show...

Any "Dark Shadows" fan would enjoy this book, as well as "Dark Shadows Memories" which provides a complete episode list and lots more memories from several members of the cast.

It's awesome that original actors from the show, such as Kathryn Leigh Scott and Lara Parker, put together these books on "Dark Shadows" - it makes them that much better! :)

Great reference book for fans!
I bought this book over a year ago and still find myself going back to it again and again, uncovering an interesting tidbit I hadn't noticed before. You'll find a lot of things in here.If you consider DS to be the coolest, this book will knock you out!

The fans have taken over!
A book such as this would have been almost inconceivable a decade ago, such is its dedication to its subject matter. Without wishing to use the comparison in a derogatory manner, the "Dark Shadows Almanac" is a book which reads almost like a fanzine as opposed to a standard reference guide. As such, the serious fans will lap it up, even if their less initiated counterparts will be left scratching their heads in confusion.

Composed of a scrapbook-style mix of bite-size pieces of trivia, rare photographs, cast remembrances and obscure information, the result is a warm tribute which, much like the show it is inspired by, makes up for its occasional instances of over-ambition with a charming sense of enthusiasm.

Perhaps the most bizarre aspect of this book is the manner in which it offers a handy way of discovering how great a fan you really are of "Dark Shadows": If you read the text with interest, understanding the feelings of nostalgia and warm remembrance, then you are doubtless part of the fan community already; if you are occasionally left puzzling over elements, then you are well on your way to making the crossover; and if the whole thing leaves you cold, then perhaps the prospect of further initiation is a dish best not served.

In short, this is a book which will be of great appeal to its intended audience, but probably to that demographic only. Speaking as a fan of "Dark Shadows", I think that the book is a fine tribute for readers like myself and, looking at the results, can't help wishing that more viewers of shows were catered for this well.

If you do not have this book yet, get it know!!!
The Dark Shadows Almanac: 30th Anniversarty Tribute is a wonderful book Published and Edited by Dark Shadows star Kathryn Leigh Scott. Many cast and crew members have written chapters in this book. The foreword was written by David Selby. This book has 176 pages of wonderful memories that all Dark Shadows fans need to share.

History is not at all entertaining
I waited for 'Belgarath the Sorcerer' with great expectation; hoping to finally know more about Belgarath with his mysterious past; about what really made him the man he appears to be in the Belgariad and Mallorean series; to really know the history of the Eternal Man. In this aspect the book lived up to my expectation, yet I was disappointed in a way. There seems to be some humor missing in Eddings' approach to the whole story. The beginning was entertaining enough but then it started to get boring. This might be caused by the 'I' (that is Belgarath's) point of view of the whole story. I personally think the Belgariad series is the best work Edding has done, with the Mallorean series following close behind. I still take up a book from these two series and still feel the thrill of turning each page to reveal what happens in the next pages (despite the fact that I've probably read the whole thing a dozen of times). It's still worth the time reading it. This is not the same thing I can say about Eddings' prequel to the saga. I haven't picked up this book and read it again from cover to cover since the time I finished reading it for the first time. However, devout readers of Eddings should definitely not miss this book since it offers more insight to the Belgariad realm. It's nice to know more about Belgarath, but this book lacks the thrill and humor of Eddings previous books, which just proves the point that history is not meant to be entertaining

*sigh*...just marvelous
To me, Eddings, like Tad Williams and Raymond E. Feist, writes a kind of perfect fantasy story that harkens back to Lloyd Alexander and the Chronicles of Prydain. It's not what I reach for when I want something trying to be deep and profound, it's what I reach for when I want something completely satisfying. A well written, believable world you can instantly fall into, and want to. Marvelous characters that you want to meet again and again. Stories that hook you early, pace nicely, and keep you hooked til the end. Which is not to imply these books are shallow or merely escapist; but rather that every level on which they can be read meshes so effortlessly that you aren't ever interrupted by your awareness of them. The best storytellers are the ones who never draw attention to themselves, because that draws attention away from the story - they never shout at you through the page. Eddings is a master storyteller, and it was very gratifying to get Belgariad prequels long after you thought the series was, sadly, complete. Both Belgarath and Polgara are excellent reads. If you like The Belgariad and Mallorean books, make sure to read the Servant of the Empire trilogy (written with Janny Wurts) as well!

THE CULMINATION OF A SERIES THAT CHANGED MY LIFE
My sister first introduced me to the Belgariad when I was 7. I had often laughed at her for sitting for weeks on end, burried in those books... I finaly found out why. Finding myself instantainiously gripped by the story, and all the wonderful characters, such as; (Bel)Garion, Polgara, Belgarath... and so on and so on... I ended up not beeing able to go anywhere without my precious books... which is the main reason why I have had to replace them each about 4 times...I simply read them to pieces...

One day, shopping with my parents, I suddently saw this book. I spent the rest of the day hopping around it, hoping my parents would buy it...and at last they did.

Now, I have made it my life goal to buy the whole series, as I havent read the Malloreon yet. I am looking forward to once again be gripped by the tale... to once again let the thoughts flow... to immagine beeing that little boy in Sendaria...suddently dragged off to the end of the world and back...in search of a stone...

I can't wait.

A word of warning though, Once you have read one book, YOU HAVE TO READ THEM ALL! RESISTENCE IS FUTILE! Kind regards Yago

Worthwhile update and great CD
This new edition of The Neurology of Eye Movements is well worth the wait. The addition of the CD is significant and the videos on it are well-done and clearly visible. You can read all you want about oscillopsias (or other clinical disorders), but until you see one with the text nearby, it's just not clear. Well done.

This reference is lucid, concise, and easy to use.
This reference is lucid, concise, and easy to use. It takes the point of view of the neurologist which is a higher plane than that of clinical eye care, but it reads like a novel. The first half explains the structures and their functions (theory), and the last half explains the differential diagnosis and therapies. Each chapter ends with the most extensive and up to date bibliography I have ever seen. Explanations such as how to distinguish the retic muscle are in plain language, clearer than most, and there is no redundancy in text or illustrations. The Leigh-Zee eye book is definitely a keeper for clinical reference.

Neurology of Eye Movements
Many medical textbooks merely describe the clinical features of eye movement disorders. What I enjoyed about this book was that the authors provide excellent descriptions and explanations of eye movement disorders. The explanations of why these disorders occur provided me with a depth of understanding that I did not have prior to reading this book. The chapters on eye movement physiology, anatomy and clinical disorders are very comprehensive, well written, up to date and well referenced. The book is also offered on a CD-ROM with videos of eye movement disorders. I strongly recommend this book. As a neurologist, this book will be very useful for my clinical practice.
