The book is divided into two parts. The first part gives general principles to accomplish this. The second part applies these principles to specific types of applications: biblical commands, examples and promises. He ends the book with a chapter on the limits of application which is a good reminder for the serious Bible student.

It lays a great foundation from establishing a group and meeting time through evaluating the group's experience at the end. Anyone desiring an intro to the inductive Bible study method using observation, interpretation, and application would benefit from the authors' to-the-point description. This is a practical guide, easily followed by anyone, whether or not you feel like a natural-born group leader. I highly recommend it.

This is a great book to introduce the concept of Biblical Hope. I have used study guide books in the past and did not expect to be impressed. I found that I learned things that I did not already know and was able to apply them for an eternal perspective and thus a Biblical hope. It is also a good book for a group. We had many different levels of Biblical knowledge in our group and benefitted from the range of questions that are provided. The notes in the back of the book provide additional insight by exploring historical context and other authors' words on the subject.
