This isn't a bad book, but...
This isn't a bad book, but it's namesake _The 50 Greatest Movies Never Made_ does a far better job at similar material. There is almost no overlap between the two books, despite the fact that the former book does cover a good deal of science fiction.

Where I think this book fails most is its approach. It's spends a lot of time dealing with production notes on the movies that were made instead (for example, Alien3), instead of the movie that wasn't made (Aliens vs. Predator). Furthermore, it never gets to the key issue -- why would this particular unmade movie have been great?

So, I'd recommend this book only as a follow-on if you've already read the "original".

How Hollywood keeps on failing to make a good Sci - Fi movie
A must for all Sci-Fi and film fans (like myself!). I'd always wondered why some of the greatest Sci-Fi stories had never made it to the silver screen and why the one that had were often very disappointing; after reading this book, I now know why!!!

Not only due to you get all the facts and figure regarding the featured "never made" movies, this book lets inside the hearts and mind of the people that tried their hardest to make these movies happen and the studio management idiots that stopped them!

Like movies? Like Sci-Fi books? Want to know why your favourite stories never made it to celluloid? Read this book and find out!

THE SCARY PART ABOUT THIS BOOK HOW TRUE ITS BECOMING???
Well I liked Clinton. So when I found this book which claims to bash him I was curious about its content. So I ordered it, and read it again and again. Since last September Knowles seemed to already reveal its revelation in an odd way. Knowles suggested a very divided, and polarized culture only appealing to minorities. Clinton overlook things which unified America. Instead Clinton became only interested in re-election. His justice department refused to investage foreign nationals who resided in America. Clinton mislead America and history and Knowles book shows his betrial.

The New World Ordered and Delivered: A Collection of Poetry
Published in Paperback by Standpoint Publishing and Communications (1997)
Authors: David J. Knowles and David, J. Knowles
Amazon base price: $22.95

A New World Disordered
David J Knowles' book of poetry, "A New World Ordered & Delivered", is an unsettling look at American life. Written with an ultra-right wing slant, this collection of jingoistic, luddite verse is pedantic and dull, offering little in the way of wit or real insight, despite claims to the contrary. This is the type of thinking that gives free reign to hatred and intolerance, and feeds a growing ignorance among the populace. Mr. Knowles was apparently also offered very little by way of an editor: the book is replete with spelling and grammatical errors, which could either distract from his "message", or, more likely, point out just how ill-informed that message is.
It is also interesting to note, considering that Mr. Knowles is decidedly "anti-materialism", that the asking price for a book which is essentially a laminated 17-page photocopy is... steep... All in all, a very disappointing read.

WHAT DOES CANADA KNOW ABOUT AMERICA?
I had to write this review only because of the cracks made by the fellow from Ontario. I agree Knowles poetry is not happy feel good new age nonsense. But his vision of America is very real especially since last September. Unlike the other fellow, I read it with an open mind. Poetry is a art form. I guess their are always ignorant critics. As far as the poetry contruction. That book cost more to laminate and bind. Actually its nice because the cover won't stain. Didn't find mistakes either except for the guy north of the border......
