Stellar Memoir, Amazing Honesty
Bill T. Jones, one of the most innovative and controversial choreographers of our time, writes his memoir with honesty, insight, and emotion. I would recommend it to any Bill T. Jones fan, dancer, choreographer, or human.

Excellent!
I am a Dietetic Technician student and this semester for our Medical Nutrition Therapy I class, we didn't have a book, so it made the semester difficult. I was going through the library and found a copy of Nutrition and Diet Therapy by Peggy Stanfield and was astounded. After each chapter, there were chapter questions and the answers were provided on a different page, but it gave you a tool to study by. Because we had to pull information from so many places, our notes from the class, probably over 500 pages if not more and it possibly wasn't all valid information or it could of been questionable because it was off the internet and some sites are trying to sell you their products. So information that isn't studied or researched enough, pulling it off the web is like accepting someone's bias as the truth. This book is concrete, measurable, accurate, up do date with the RDA's Recommendations. Each chapter covers a different topic, such as Nutrition and Diabetes, or equations to find someone's BEE, TDE, %body fat, etc...this book has done a superb job laying it out, organizing it and putting the most important information in the book. It is easy to understand and follow even if you aren't entering into a medical or nutritional field, but just interested in different topics and how nutrition relates to it. This is the book for you. I'm sad I found the book at the end of the semester because I was so impressed with the content, how thourouh it was and the reviews. Definetly two thumbs up.

Humor saves sisters from clutter
I first read this book about 16 years ago when I had just had my third child. Now 16 years later, I am the single parent of 5 working full-time. For a while I was part-time student working part-time as well. I think I appreciate the book even more now and I am more organized, mostly because I too was a mother like Pam and Peggy -I enjoyed being home with my children thoroughly and never resented the endless interruptions. I always felt that those years with those babies were too precious to be missed..and I still do. Unfortunately my husband didnot share my admiration for my dedication to mothering my children and I often got the "..I just don't understand what you do all day.." I was not lucky enough to have a supportive spouse and it was not until we divorced that I recognized that he was most of the problem anyway! Usually I felt like I had 6 kids! I have just started using the card system for my kids, and after 2 weeks I would have to say that I see an improvement. Sixteen years ago the book really made me laugh but it didn't help me get organized, I think I used every excuse. But it was a comfort to me, especially the spiritual parts that Pam wrote in regard to her divorce. Now I am much more organized and much happier. I am emphasizing how the card system will help my kids to become more organized in preparation for their futures, so they can see they are doing it for themselves, not just for me.
Sidetracked Home Executives: From Pigpen to Paradise
To put it simply, this book will change your life! I first implemented this system 8 years ago after the birth of our 1st child (we now have three). I had quit my job to stay home with our son and I knew that I needed help when I would lay my son down for his nap and before I would know it he would be back up (it was actually two hours later, but it seemed like 15 minutes to me). I would not have even showered much less complete my long list of "Things to Do". My husband would walk in the door late in the afternoon and all I could say is
"Is it 4:30 already". There was no dinner, no clean laundry, and the house would look like a tornado had hit it. So I went on a mission and I thank the Lord I found this book because it did change my life. I have more free time now, I am actually on time for my appointments, and my house is finally clean. Just read it and you will be hooked too! I am buying two more copies, one for a friend and one for me. I loaned my original to this friend and she can't find it. She is so sidetracked and unorganized she lost it before she could read it and could start the system. My only hope of getting my original copy back is her doing this system. Wish me luck!
P.S.
If you have done this to someone you need this book too!

Changed my life!
I found the system in the book to be very helpful. The system is great. It may not be for everyone though. I found that I had all the great intentions in the world to get things done. But I always seemed to never finish a task.I would start another before I was done with the first.I was the side-tracked queen. The system does not just affect your housework. It helps build habits that you always wanted to do but just never got there. My husband is very happy that I use the system. Especially if you don't have hours in a row. If you work, have kids, and go to school too this system helps organize and prioritize. You don't have to do it all yourself. You can delegate certain tasks to family and then enjoy the rest of the time together. It helps get all your bases covered, and realize what needs done, how often and how long things truly take. I found that I had lots of time to clean but everything seemed overwhelming. There are many more things I can say about the system, but it would be too long. I believe that there are many people who would find this to be a great way to simplify their housework and make it almost enjoyable. :)

Sidetracked sisters' catch-up on the kitchen
This book is super for helping organize the kitchen and has just enough comic relief to make it worth reading.
It couldn't be better!
This book is to kitchen organizers what Websters is to writers. It is a classic. Of course I use this book's strategies in my own kitchen, but as well, I employ its kitchen layout plans at my job: I design kitchen renovations. This book is absolutely outstanding.

Helps me get motivated to have a lovely home
I found this once in a library in Texas - a nice change from most organizational books. Goes month by month, and gives a different focus idea for each month. Good ideas for getting motivated, but not too much nuts and bolts - get those from other books. This is for motivation and direction.
Happiness File
The funniest book I have ever read!! Time well spent for any side-tracked person! Excellent! All of Pam Young and Peggy Jones books are wonderful!

Sorry, but YUCK!
This is a very entertaining book, but I wouldn't want to cook (or eat) from it. While there are a couple of ok recipes, some of them are real stomach turners, e.g., cut up some Whoppers from burger king and mix with catsup, mustard & bbq sauce, put a puff pastry crust on it and bake. Scrape the condiments off the buns, toast and serve along with it. Puhlease!! Lots of this type of recipe--not nutritious cooking, not even appetizing. Did give it a couple of stars for entertainment value.
Wonderfully creative and makes cooking FUN!
This book is not only entertaining reading from beginning to end, it is truly helpful in the kitchen. Sure there are a couple of recipes I don't care to try, but I've cooked most of them already and they've all been big hits. All the Ladies in my church group wanted the recipe for "La Pate". (Didn't give it to them) The "Crock Pot Baked Beans" went very fast at the last BBQ we attended. The "Blue Cheese Chicken Italiano" has turned into a family favorite and The "Chocolate Mousse" impressed several friends. Now people are inviting us over for dinner and requesting we bring certain dishes. This book is the sole reason my teenage son has started cooking! He cooked the "Wiener Schnitzel" for his grandparents and they loved it.
A real time-saver
Pam Young and Peggy Jones have produced yet another wonderful book. This one, however, is less about organization and cleaning (although those are touched on) and more about producing good food when you're short on time. Their particular brand of humour makes this a great read for enjoyment even if you don't use the recipes -- although the recipes are great as well! Each recipe (with strange names like "Mucho Chicken Berserk" and "Aunt Peg's Five Bean Summit Meeting") includes approximate prep time, cooking time and number of servings as well as an often hilarious anecdote. Pam and Peggy focus on cooking in the real world. We don't always have the time to play Donna Reed and bake up a storm... we have to rely on Four Skor And Seventeen Pecan Pie and hope it tastes like scratch... and it usually does!

The Sea Wedding
I feel this book is a true romantic and sweet story of when a young fisher man named Ata takes a nap and has been awaken by the sound of the Sea Queen rising from the sea. When he takes a good look at her she asks, "Can you help me remove an anchor that is blocking the gate of my daughter's wedding?" Ata whispers, "Sure."
So the Sea Queen and Ata swim to the bottom of the ocean and remove the heavy anchor and the Sea Queen was so glad that she invited him to come to the Sea Princes's wedding! I don't think he took a chance to "YES." They both swam into the gates and started the wedding. After they danced a few times, it was time for the Sea Queen and Princess to give gifts to everyone for coming to the wedding. Ata got got a scarf. But not any ordinary scarf, he got a very special souvenir to remember this terrific day.

Before GYAT....
This is pretty much the "prequel" to Get Your Act Together.... (aka GYAT). Most of the stories are repeats from Sidetracked Home Executives. If you have GYAT, skip on this one unless you are a real fan and/or find it at a yard sale cheap.
The best part of the book is the appendix, where they have pictures of the "cards" and how they look when done. You could do something similar on the computer, and even add cute graphics if you wanted to.
Every Sidetracked Sister needs this book!
If you are a follower of Pam & Peggy's wisdom, you should own this book. It gives more detail of their quest for organization, as well as taking us on a hilarious journey on the way there! Peggy's description of Danny's unknowing adventure of washing his hair in Woolite is delightful, as is Pam's surprise wedding toward the end of the book. Their homespun wisdom and humor will endear the Sidetracked Sisters to you. Their focus of this book is getting your family involved in cleaning up at home, and the infraction game that they've invented for offenders sounds promising. My favorite part of the book is the ending which talks about how a home isn't a home without the support of your loved ones, no matter how messy or clean it may be.

Not a pretty good choice
This book doesn't contain all the essential medical words encountered at normal situations. It's worth of 3-star rating cause it encloses 16 pages awarding-winning illustration. Recommend to advance users.

Jones is acutely aware of his body and the fetishization of the body of the big, black stud. He plays with that objectification on-stage and off without forgetting its cost. "My eroticism, my sensuality is often coupled with wild anger and belligerence," he says. "I know that I can be food for fantasy, but at the same time I am a person with a history-and that history is in part the history of exploitation."
It is what Jones does with his own (and others') bodies on stage, not just his physical appearance, upon which he wants to focus the interest of many: "The performer who takes the stage must believe that he is fascinating, that he or she deserves being the locus of several hundred or thousand points of attention. . . . The performer wants to be one of many, but even more, he wants to command the attention of many."
As I already said, Jones's voice comes through on the page. The book is compelling as a narrative of an interesting life in a difficult time (the time of AIDS to which Jones lost his partner on- and off-stage) and as an account of the wellsprings of Jones's art.
