Good book for any blues clues lover.
My sons love this book. Every page has something for kids to figure out. They can find where everyone is hiding and figure out what close up picture belongs to which person. It's good book for any fan of blues clues.

Good Blue book
My sons love Blue's Clues and everything to do with it. Theylove this book too. We have read it many times. Not many stories haveMagneta in them so I think that is one reason why they like this book.

We'll Enjoy Our Time Together Grandaddy!
Ages 3-8 yrs. A tender, warm story spoken through the voice of a grandaughter to her grandfater. "When I am old with you, Grandaddy, we will play cards all day underneath that old tree by the road." When I am old with you, Grandaddy...[etc]." Neat pictures that blend well with the story. It's a nice story that makes for a great bedtime read.

Excellent book for grandparents, parents, and children
This beautifully illustrated book brings back fond childhood memories of the precious childhood moments spent with a loving grandparent. Many people, young and old alike, can relate to this book because of its simple, yet touching message. The young child in the book could be a girl or a boy, depending on the reader's preference. This book is an excellent example of multicultural literature to be enjoyed by all who pick it up.

why i like this book
This is a good book. This was a book that you could sometimes put down and others you couldn't put the book down. The author describes a lot of things well like the area that they live in well, the neighborhood around them.
Her older sister, Nicole, was about fourteen and she started to hear voices and they would never go away. She had to keep very busy so that they wouldn?t bug her as much. The voices made her do crazy things. Nicole is scared that sophy, her younger sister, will also hear the voices because she is now fourteen. Nicole was lucky that her younger sister never got the voices.
Although this story was sad, it was still good. Plenty of young people would enjoy this book and could also relate to it.

THE TONES OF MENTAL ILLNESS, THE DANCE OF HEALTH
(...)This well written book features a strong black cast and it is the strength and unity of these characters that make for a compelling story. I also liked the descriptions of the city and the stores in their neighborhood. That gives readers a sense of the place of the story.

Humming Whispers
I really enjoyed this book. I think Angela Johnson is an incredible author! The story is so wonderful it keeps you guessing until the end. I like the fact that in the beginning of the book its a bit confusing but near the end of the story things make more sense.

Although the book was a little sad, I still enjoyed it. I think alot of young people could relate to this situation. Every fourteen year old child should read this book to get a glimse of other peoples lives.

The only thing I didn't like about the book was it wasn't long enough. I wish this book would go on forever.I would read this story to my grandchilden!

Finding a little heaven right here on earth!
HEAVEN, the 1999 Coretta Scott King Award book, is a first-person narrative centered on the idea or theme that just as some truths in life may bring a sense of sorrow and loss, they can also turn those painful feelings and emotion into real joy, hope, and acceptance. When main character, Marley, discovers that she's adopted, knowing what to do with that truth becomes the real issue of the story. For 12 years, Marley has lived in Heaven, OH with two doting parents, a quirky but lovable brother, good friends and neighbors that she adores. Now, it seems that her life up to this point has been one big fat lie! Even though she lacks trust in her adoptive family now that she knows the truth, it will be their continued love and support which wins her over and helps her to finally find the answers she so desperately needs to know about her life.

I believe what makes this book so interesting to read is that it presents Marley's family, filled with deception and lies, as paradise. While the most troubled family in the story is "picture perfect" and free of deceit. The plot is idyllic and often dreamy with punches of reality mixed in as everyone's deceptions unravel. Even though this story is not as compelling as Ms. Johnson's 1994 Coretta Scott Award winning book, TONING THE SWEEP, it is still a moving story that handles the topic of adoption with graceful sensitivity.

It's a great book
I think this is a very interesting book because the story ends up being something that you never would have thought. As I read the title "Heaven" I didn't think it would be the name of a town. I thought more of a wonderful place to go. I enjoyed reading this book and would recommend it to my friends.

Great Book
I liked this book and would recommend it to anyone that likes comedy, drama, and some sad parts all in the same book. It isn't to long, but not real short. I would recommend this book to mostly pre-teens and younger teens. It may be a little hard for younger kids, but anyone older would probably like it.

Get Set to Draw!
A neat little board book. Basically, each page has 3 clues drawn on it, and you draw the answers to the clues. Not too much reading involved.

A Warm Family Reunion
This story reads like a poem about a family reunion experienced through the eyes of young girl. It seems to capture all of the elements of a typical reunion--the abundant good food, the old folks reminiscing, the children playing--but it avoids excessive detail that will bore young story listeners. Johnson has a way of saying so much, with so few words, that children are likely to enjoy this story.

Family History
Angela Johnson has shared a look at, what I think was, her family history. Using a loving reflecting touch she has given the reader a reason to listen to family stories of their memories of childhood. Some are funny, others are sad, but all that is shared by the large group of brothers and sisters are worth remembering and passing on to future generations. This is a wonderful way to approach family geneology and share with children some of the stories from your childhood, or that you know about or that have been told to you.

This was a simple book.
I liked this book but it was way to simple. i would suggest this to a 2 year old because it might be to easy.

Yes, but...
...this book is just TOO simple! Great for 2 year olds, fartoo easy for my 3 year old. This book has a short life span; there'sprobably only a 6 month span in which it'll be worthwhile. Buyerbeware, especially if you're giving it as a gift.

Great for even the youngest fans
My 2 1/2 year old is a rabid Blue's Clues fan. Most of the books are a little beyond her comprehension level, but this one was perfect! It's a blast for her to locate the characters, sort of like an advanced peek-a-boo game- great fun!

Good story
My two year old loved this book! We wore out the pages reading it over and over again. Now my son is coloring and trying to draw a story too.

Daughter loves it
My daughter loves the sory and as a parent I like the idea that is teaches you should find something to do instead of moping around. Good Story -- We need a new one because we as the other reviewers have worn ours out

Keeps 'em entranced!
I bought this book for my 20 month old, who adores Blue. It reads very well, and the colors and characters keep him entranced. Could be a few pages longer though, and no Steve in this one!
