A favorite bedtime book!
My son Zachary adores this book and it was a part of our bedtime reading ritual for quite awhile. Although he is now 3 years old, this is a classic for us to revisit time and time again. The illustrations are wonderful. A great gift for a first-time mom or for your own children.

Wonderful bedtime book!
This book was given to my son as a gift and it is now his favorite book! The bright colors grabbed his attention early on (around 6-7 months) and now that he's 1 yr old, he can relate to the message. It's a great book for a mother and a son to share with a great bedtime message. I'd recommend this book, as it's been a wonderful edition to our evening story time.

good book for kids who like dogs
This book, through well-written, easy to understand, and humorous text, is good for reading to or being read by children. It is also a good book for kids who like dogs or are interested in getting one, because it explains both the ups and downs of puppyhood. The adorable illustrations were also very nice. This book would probably be best for kids from th e ages of 2 years old to 9 years old because it can be read to the younger children while they enjoy the rich illustrations while older children can practice reading with this book because of the large, easy to read text.

Love unlimited - a powerful message for children
I was browsing through the children's department of my favorite local bookstore, looking for a gift, when this title caught my eye. I settled down on the floor for a read, and fell in love.

Big Nutbrown Hare is getting ready to put Little Nutbrown Hare to sleep for the night, when Little challenges him to guess how much he loves him. Little stretches his arms wide and says, "This much!" Big stretches his arms even wider and returns the love. Little keeps finding bigger and bigger ways to express his love for Big, and each time, Big outdoes him by virtue of his greater size. Finally, Little has to stop and ponder, and then triumphantly claims that his love for Big goes "all the way to the moon." That's a lot, Big concedes, and satisfied, Little settles down to sleep - and misses Big's whisper that he loves him "to the moon and back."

For children anxious about being loved, I can't think of a better story to illustrate how limitless their parents' love really is. No matter how much you love me, Big is saying, I love you that much and more. A comforting message, and one that Little can sleep on.

One of the things that makes this book unusual is that both hares are male. There is no lack of books about the love of mothers for their children, but Daddy-love is harder to find. I love the message here.

The pen and watercolor illustrations are wonderful. The animals are perfectly drawn - not cutesy, not cartoony, they are big rangy hares, with remarkably expressive faces. No cute little fluffola bunnies here...

I recommend this book as a valuable addition to your children's library.

My son's first book, I read it to him even before he's born.
Very sweet, touching and reflects the love that my baby is born with. When I was pregnant with my now 5 month old baby boy, my husband and I bought this book and every now and then I read it to him. I was deeply touch by it that I often end with tears in my eyes wishing I could cuddle him at that time. And now, we enjoy reading it together at bedtime while I feel every words, he enjoyed listening to me and looking at the cute pictures. We always ended up,together with my husband, the three of us cuddling each other. It's a perfect book for babies to begin with and also for parents to grow old with...unconditional boundless love. I love you Babes and Pumpkin pie right up to the moon and back!!

A wonderful book
Our son received this book as a gift on his second birthday. It is a wonderfully charming book of one upsmanship between little nutbrown hare and big nutbrown hare, each trying to outdo one another in describing the magnitude of their love for each other. Its message is simple, elegant and full of warmth.

After we had read this book to my son a few times, he began saying, "I love you THIIIIIIIS much", holding out his hands as wide as he could. It was absolutely adorable. He is almost three now and he still loves it when we read it to him.

This is a book to cherish. It is a sweet story that your child will love. I recommend it highly.

Playtime is GREAT for babies
My one year old just loves this book and wants to read it all day. It is like several short books wrapped up into one which is great for babies' short attention spans. The illustrations are very colorful and interesting.

My son loves this book.
My 2 year old son absolutely loves this book. He flips through each page, stopping to examine each picture. He often carries it around with him. The bright colors are very engaging.

Is this your child?
As a parent you may recognize your own darling child who spends a whole day doing contrary things. I did! The book has some amusing scenes. It is one of those books that kids LOVE and parents read. Not MY favorite but certainly one of my daughter's favorites!

Fun Story
Anyone who has ever been `dared` can relate to this lively tale about a daring young mouse who seems to know no fear, until one day, when her friends come up with the scariest dare, yet: to take the bell off the cat`s collar. Is Daisy up to the challenge? Is she really as brave as she says? The large print text should help preschoolers recognize easier, more familiar words, although this is definitely a read aloud picture book: the overall vocabulary is likely to be beyond the early reader level. Colorful, energetic illustrations will engage and amuse: a fun story.
