I found the Galactic Warlord book by accident in the young adult section in the Quakertown, PA, public library. The year was 1982 and I was a sixth grader at Richland Elementary (Hi Mrs. Beason!). It looked kind of cool, so I took it home. I had finished the book by the next morning. I was hooked from the first page and couldn't put it down. I dreamed of hanging out with Keill and Glr. A few days later (after begging my parents to take me to the library), I found the Planet of the Warlord, which was also read in a day. I discovered the two middle books of the series a few days later - Day of the Starwind and Deathwing over Veyna. Over the next two years, those very same books were repeatedly borrowed from the library by myself and my friends. It's sad that they are now out of print, as I am sure that today's young adults would benefit from a positive role model such as Keill Randor. In addition, the Colsec and Huntsman series are also great reading. I miss being a kid and feeling the sense of awe and wonder that came over me while reading these books.

I first read this book when I was in 5th grade, and I couldn't wait to read the others. There are also other books in the series, and each and every one is a great work of sci-fi. A must read!!!

I read this book about 10 years ago as a child, and for some reason it haunted me enough to remember it enough to read it again as an adult. Lo and behold, I found more books in the series! The story was great fun, full of adventure and derring-do. I think I loved it so much because I'm a big Star Wars fan, and hungered for more stories in the same vein. Here we have the central character, Keill Randor, a highly trained warrior (reminded me of a Jedi Knight-errant without the mystical powers)who is only survivor (so he thinks) of his race. His quest to find the responsible party who destroyed his home planet and any others left of his kind is the core story for the succeeding books. I recommend this series as a jump-start to young readers who like science fiction.

The overseers were remarkable and there idea to give Keill knew bones was very interesting. The deathwing agent fights were very exciting and the clones were very interesting also. The Starwind was a little confusing to me. I wasn't sure why the planets just didn't collide or why the other planet didn't float away. The whole series was very good and I would like to know if there is a movie on it. If there is then I will go and see it If there is not then I would like one to be made. This series has inspired me to maybe write my own book someday!

This story is about an Alien conquered earth in which one man searches for his family the aliens kidnapped. This is such an underated novel, it deserves more publicity for being a great book. It has an exciting plot, well developed characters, swift, and a definite page turner. Too bad it's out of print. . .

Cooler than a Jedi knight, harder than Bruce Lee. If you love action or Star Wars you will love this. The culmination of the series is one of the best!

Great, a bunch of short stories about the troubled adolescence of Keill Randor, interstellar ninja. Just kidding! Actually, it was a pretty good book...especially the first story, "Ordeal."

This is an excellent kids book full of fantastic action. This man gives Bruce Lee a run for his money! The other Legionary Quartet stuff is equally great. Enjoy!

I think that this book is great I just finished reading it. My faveriot part is Games the games are like the olympics but way way more dangerious

I read this book when I was 11 and it was a great introduction to science fiction. I still own a copy, although it's ratty from being dropped in the bathtub and carried around for the past 14 years.

The conclusion to this series lived up to the promise of the first book and far surpassed the second.
The "scards" of "Exiles of ColSec" and "The Caves of Klydor" are back--but this time, they've got a spaceship and a mission! "ColSec Rebellion" chronicles their trials and tribulations on their return to Earth.

It's sometime in an Orwellian future, where any dissenter is deported to a newfound inhabitable planet. A prison ship develops a glitch, however; it crashes on the destination planet, killing half of the deportees. Five survivors--a rugged outdoorsman, an empathic computer tech, and three tough street kids--band together against hostile aliens and a psychotic ex-M.P. who also survives the crash.
While not particularly deep--it was written for teenagers, after all--"Exiles" was an exciting read.

The "Exiles of Colsec" is the best of the Colsec trilogy. It is an exciting, creative Sci-fi book. Douglas Hill has written an incredibly imaginative book here.

I read this book a long time ago, and thought it was okay, althought the first, blade of the posioner was better.
Anyway, I was wondering if anyone knew if there was a third book in the series? I still have a lot of questions...

One thing I didn't like: EVERY OTHER CHARACTER'S NAME WAS AN ATROCIOUS PUN IN LATIN!!! I mean, minor deities with names translating to "rainbow," villains with names translating to "darkness," "destruction," or "stinker..."(no, wait, the villain whose name meant "stinker" was in the first book. My mistake.)

When I first read this, I got the feel of increasing energy as the book moved along, building up to a feverish pitch at the end where all hell breaks loose. The result was me hammering my fists to the floor in exhultation!
...reponding to the comment about Latin puns: I had no idea! However this does not annoy me. It actually increases my repect of Hill. I did not expect any type of hidden meaning in a book intended for young adults. Bravo!

I read this series when I was 12, and absolutely _loved_ it. However, this, the second book in the series, was probably the least well-written and exciting. I mean, what was with the space-military-police, anyway?!?!

I read the book in 1988, and I was in love with it then and I am in love with it now.
