Nada malo que decir sobre este libro, recomendado desde para quien no tiene idea del manejo del programa, hasta para aquellos que ya nos entendemos con el programa... claros ejemplos, conscisas explicaciones. Realmente un gran libro.

Dreamweaver has quickly become one of the more popular web design toold available. Its concept of web design with minimal coding appeals to many new designers. This is also a downfall, especially with more experienced designers who like to type all their code themselves.

Most of the books available for Dreamweaver have focused on how to use the basic functions of Dreamweaver, ignoring things like database connectivity with ColdFusion.

This book not only covers the basics of HTML, but it goes into some more advanced topics like CF. I would reccomend this book to anyone who is serious about web design with Dreamweaver.

It is very apparent that Joseph Lowery has not only a complete understanding of the many Internet technologies available to developers but also has an understanding for the way in which we most efficiently learn them. This book is not only 100% comprehensive but it also presents the material in an easy-to-understand bottoms-up approach that would give novices and professions alike an excellent understanding for web developement and Dreamweaver's role in that development. This book also provides numerous examples for both simple and advanced ways to enhance sites with Dreamweaver's many built-in behaviors.

This book has answered the questions I didn't know to ask.It's a must read for any student or interested writer. Inspiring, Thorough, & Informative.A clear explanation covering all aspects of the industry. Don't miss it!

The Mulligans have done an impressive job of identifying more jobs in sports journalism than I could have named. They write easily, with humor, historical references, and an eye to the future. They consider Homer the first sports journalist for his accounts of battles in The Iliad. Did you know that Bat Masterson became a sports reporter after he ended his career as a gambler/lawman of the nineteenth century? Now you do.
This book covers not only sports writing, copy editing, investigative reporting, college media relations, and freelance opportunities to name a few, but also touches on the cutting edge of multimedia work opportunities.
I wish they covered more on salary ranges within the fields they describe, but what they have done is expand the options for the reader/student/career seeker enamored of the field of sports journalism.

As Intern Coordinator of The Baltimore Sun, I would recommend this book to all college journalism students...not just those interested in careers in sports journalism. Great examples and first-person experiences to draw from. And a smart college student can use the book to form a great list of contacts.

I found this book to be helpful for the most part. My recommendation would be to use this book AND spend the 25 bucks for your T.V.'s service manual. Do an internet search or something, they're out there. Mine came on a disk from an online company. As usual, the flow charts in the service manual were next to useless. However, using the information in this book in combination with the schematics and part info in the service manual, I was able to repair my TV. Don't expect to fix your TV with just this book. It tells you exactly what parts to look at, but without your TV's service manual, you can't equat them to your specific TV. An example, a rather common fault is for the Horizontal Output Transistor to go bad. This fault, and how to correct it is stated in the book. That's all fine and dandy, but without your TV's service manual, you'll have no idea which transistor is YOUR Horizontal Output Transistor. My only grip is that Amazon stated that this was a hardback. It's not. It's a softcover. Good Luck.

I would like to thank the people responsible for the compilation of this book. The repairman has stil has a job to do, and books like these will keep our hopes alive! Someone out there still belives in the repair business.

This book had many interesting stories, but repeatedly covered material previously mentioned.

This collection of essays is a masterful representation of the Irish Brigade in the American Civil War. The volume was intended to strip away all of the glorified mistruths that have been fostered by historians and present the Irish Brigade to us only in pure fact. It reads easily, is immeasurably interesting and has a special place in my Irish book collection. Also contains many black and white photographs, maps and illustrations that complement each essay very well. I don't think you'll be disappointed with this one :)

I was so excited when I bought this book. All the colorfull pictures and lots and lots of big words, makes this book stand out above the rest. Thank you Joe and Kevin, I like to read now.

A great source for understanding how contracts work, and how to make money in the world of real estate, mortgages and finance. More than just a beginners book, it reveals the "How To's" that many other "experts" texts omit.

Computer Monitor Repair by Joe Desposito and Kevin Garabedian is probably the book you would want to read if you know nothing about how a monitor works. The book is written in such a way that it is very easy to understand, and contains good illustrations as well. I would not recommend this book to those who already have a background in repairing monitors because much of the information would only serve as a review.

i want to view it because we lack information of monitor,and it is few in market.

i'm wondering if these other reviewers are rating books based on comparison to other books or after having read just a particular book(as in this case, DW 4 bible)

this is the most random and unorganized book i've read...
it's not as bad and random as dreamweaver 4 visual quickstart guide but.. it's getting there...
if i wanted to learn html, i would have gotten a html book. it tries too hard. i'm wondering how much these kids will retain the material they've read in this book. sometimes less is more.
after having read this and photoshop 6 bible, the BIBLE series has lost all of my credibility.

well, i'll just say, INSIDE DREAMWEAVER 4 by NEW RIDERS is 123123123 times better... organized well in a efficiently readable format, sticks to the point, and furthermore, a pleasure to read.

This book tries to be all things to all people and as such it includes basic stuff and quite advanced stuff. There's basic info about HTML (ie what's a

tag) which I skipped straight over but which a beginner would find useful (although there's plenty of other books that cover this material). For the more advanced user there's some great info on how to make your own Dreamweaver extensions, cross-browser compatibility issues, and incorporating the Beatnik plug-in into your pages to make interesting sound effects.

The accompanying CD-ROM is full of useful Dreamweaver extensions (although you could have downloaded these from various websites), as well as trial versions of Dreamweaver, Fireworks, Flash. Also included is the complete text of the book in PDF format.

Positively the most comprehensive presentation of a very complicated, ever-changing arena.Joeseph Lowery has a writing style that is easy to read. Despite its three inch thickness, the book is well laid out, well cross-referenced and very well formatted where the reader can spot the important 'stuff' at a glance. Better yet, one can go back for deeper details. I've read a lot of books in this field. Very few have real 'meat' to digest, and the others just skim the surface. The DW bible gives you answers. Best yet, the author anticipates where the reader/novice could go wrong. Having 'been there, done that', he guides the reader around the pitfalls rather than allowing him to fall in it! Awesome job!

Starts out with easy to read introduction with block diagrams. The next chapter goes into troubleshooting equipment and tools which was good. Beginning with the chapter on maintenance, it tries to show the parts that need to be lubricated and cleaned. With "Determining the Problem" chapter, the amateur is left behind in favor of the seasoned technician, introducing acromnyms and VCR model numbers without explaination. From there on, it gets worse with full schematic diagrams guaranteed to have beginners running to the service center. The pictures are in black and white and hard to make out (quality equal to a photo copier) left me disappointed. The following chapters goes in to problems with each section of the vcr ending with case studies of classic problems likely to be encoutered by techs. I a have background in digital and audio electronics but haven't work in video electronics (TV) since 1981. I thought this book with it's 180 pgs and medium text would get me up to speed on the state of the art. Unforuntately it failed for me. I gave it 2 stars since it could help seasoned service techs with better a better background on the subject then myself. I'm opting for a text book.

So informative, we discarded our VCR repairman & his number! We were so excited about actually taking on a project together being a Married couple and successfully doing so(Thanks to the Complete Vcr Troubleshooting & Repair Guide) That TWO Career Tech Support reps Working for Two Rivals completed successfully ONE Communtity Project!!!

This book has more errors than should ever be allowed in a professional product. There are typo's in both text and examples. The CD does not contain the source code from the book and I vote this the worst source ever of any computer based information I have found to date. It has left me very unsure of the publishers (QUE) standards and I may never purchase another QUE book again. I simply do not trust them. Spend your hard earned money on a different choice

"Special Edition Using Java, Second Edition" is an excellent reference to JDK 1.0.2. However, today (April 15), only a month and a half after being billed as "Computer Programming Expert Editor's Recommended Book, 03/01/97", it is a dated reference and the cover claims of JDK 1.1 coverage fall short--they are preliminary and peripheral to primary Java programming topics. For example, there is no coverage of the major changes in the Java event model of JDK 1.1, which permeate almost every application. I recommend waiting for better JDK 1.1 coverage, hopefully in Joseph Weber's new version, "Special Edition Using Java 1.1" which has not yet been released, but for which Amazon is taking orders today

This book is nothing if not large. This was QUEs attempt to capture the entire spectrum of JAVA and make it easy to understand (a task that they accomplished) but then the standards changed again. This is still a great book for learning Java; but, you will have to move on to other resources for news on the updates

You need some backround knowledge of camcorders in order to understand everything... All in all, a good second step in camcorder repair...
