this book was very inspiring and I recomend it too all people.

I think Mr. Green made a great attempt at exploring issues faced by minority students at institutions of higher learning. It was an honest look. I found his characters to be fascinating, and only wish that he had gone further, looking even deeper. When I finished the book I wanted more, I wanted to know what happened. It seemed like the end should not have been the end. I certainly hopes he writes a sequel to finish the story he began.

I was a sophomore at Stanford when this book first came out and I remember reading it then from the perspective of someone who was just appreciative of the fact that a fellow African American student had written about topics that were effective all of us at the time. I found the book interesting then and have recently finished reading it again, and I think it's a good story because it is fresh. I mean, how many modern stories about young African Americans ever reach the massess? Not many.

I for one am on the lookout for Mr. Green's next work--I hope he is still writing! I will be recommending this book to all my friends and family. It's indeed slightly rough in its telling, but an interesting and entertaining read nonetheless.

I did find some of the sexual situations a bit too explicit. However, the overall message is important and as a work of fiction that is meant to entertain, it deserves to be read by many.

The Story is Wild. Yes, sometimes unbelievable in parts. But it hits upon so many issues that students of color face at predominately white institutions. There is no other book like this one and Mr. Green was certainly brave in his attempt to bring the spotlight on the modern lives of minority students. Pseudo Cool is an entertaining read that makes you think about the variety of challenges we all face.
