We received this book as a present and have read and shown it around often. Its creative weirdness would be wonderful for a child or an imaginative adult.

I found this book in the Children's section and bought it for myself. This is the most incredible book I have found and I have 'read' it over and over. The story depics odd goings on at a large mansion. The children who visit my house have been captured by the colorful detailed pictures and neighbor children occasionally stop by and ask to see the book. The oversized book has pictures spanning two pages each with so much detail that I find something new every time I open it. Each picture has dozens of stories unfolding and you find yourself flipping forwards and backwards to see what will happen and to find what happened earlier to cause what you see on the page you are reading. I have found no other picture book in this. It makes children think and ask 'what made that happen' as they read it.

One word can simply describe this wacky book: WICKED

This book, and the entire Choose your Challenge Gamebook series, held my childrens attention for weeks ! It took us several tries to find the correct passages, but the games and mazes along the way really challenged my kids to use their brains. I was extremely impressed !

This book is a gripping cross between humor, choose-your-own-adventures, and games. The drawings are spectaculare and the differant puzzles and mazes provides a large replayability factor. What more can I say?

This is a slim book which is concise and accurate on most of the key points of leasing. I would recommend this book to all those people who are looking for concise and accurate leasing information, without wading through volumes !!

This is by far the best book of all time. I stumbled across it once, and never found it again. You and your robot monkey friend, ME-2, are on a quest to find your space ship that has crash landed on "the planet of terror." Each two page spread is a new mini-game involving hidden items, mazes, and simple math. Some of the problems may be easy, but the book is ridiculously fun. It is quite imaginatively drawn, and the storyline is as interesting as it is diverse. You travel through starship junkpiles, monster forests, futuristic cities, inside computers, and fake earth enviornments to name a few. This book/game has an excellent replay quality. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this book in an instant to anyone who wants an amazing family heirloom to keep for generations to come.

This is a pretty good book. I remember reading it when I was a bit younger, and thinking it was pretty funny. Generally, the book is basically funny. The animal sounds will give the young reader some extra creative fun and a pleasant reading experience. The pictures are very amusing, and add significantly to this story's humor. One can easily pick this book up again and again to enjoy the crazy happenings at the Funny Farm.
While it was necessary for the ending of the story, the ironic ending of this book annoyed me. It really isn't a great flaw, and doesn't take anything too great away from this story.

What a great book for me to use in our Rotary Club sponsored reading program with Will Rogers School in Altus, Oklahoma. I enjoy reading and making the farm sounds to the 1st grade class. We, (members of the business community), read twice a week to show how important reading is to us. This book is one of my favorites because it gives them a positive experience with a book. Plus, I love to see them smile and hear them laugh!

Kudos to P.E.King and Alastair Graham. This is a perfect marriage of witty words and fantastic art. Just fabulous. Has anyone seen any other books by P.E.King?

How far have city-bred enterprises removed us from our natural heritage? E.O. Wilson, author of so many wonderful ideas and books, has here revealed himself as a human being of immense strength and courtly self-awareness. Sharing with us so many aspects of his personal life and scientific endeavors, Wilson shows how a bit of dedication can overcome obstacles most of us find daunting. Raised in the rural South, losing the sight of one eye, his struggles to gain a place as a scientist are inspiring. More importantly, he makes clear how much remains to be done by the upcoming generations in determining our true place in the natural order. This work is a clarion call for aspiring young scientists to enter research, following paths similar to his own.

The editorial reviews here focus overmuch on the sociobiology 'controversy'. Sociobiology is a major thesis in examining humanity's place in nature. Rejecting this idea out of hand continues to impair understanding of how important an idea sociobiology is, although he spends little time on it in this book. Much of his work has focussed on animal behaviour from ants through mammals. People remain resistant to the idea that we are somehow associated with 'the beasts', but Wilson demonstrates the continuity of behaviour patterns throughout the animal kingdom. Until we address that issue honestly, which is a major aspect of Wilson's work, we will never understand who we truly are. His studies stress that until we achieve that understanding, we will continue to unwittingly intrude on our own environment. The loss of species threatens our own existence.

The major advantage of this book is its honesty. Wilson pulls few punches and reviews his own prejudices and how he overcame them. He demonstrates how important this self assessment is to scientists and the public alike. The growth of understanding of genetics has impacted all biology. Wilson relates candidly his own grudging acceptance of the new ideas genetic research have given us. He's to be commended for both his candor and flexibility.

To me, it looks as if Wilson turned to be a great scientist against all odds. He did not come from the academic royalty, but from a broken family in Alabama. With strong intuition, lot of hard work and endless enthusiasm, he became one of the great scientists of the 20th century. A well written book, that would probably change the course of my life have I read it at the right age...

This book gives one a real sense of what the natural world is like through the eyes of a very influential naturalist. This book follows the life of E.O. Wilson from childhood to show how the outside world impacted his life. A great read!!

I work at a public library and this series is very popular with our young patrons - esp. the boys!

If you are someone who is new to the private equity industry, then this book will be perfect for you. It lays out all of the basic concepts of private equity in easy-to-understand language.

If you already have more than a working knowledge of the industry, then this book will be far too basic for you.

This book is written for the reader who has little or no experience in currencies and currency risk. The information provided is very basic, and not of use to anyone wanting to get more than a superficial understanding of the subject. The title is "Introduction", but I still think it is (only) 100 pages of generalities, not worth the $... I paid!
