yes what did happen to Sally
I am currently reading Star signs - I am heavyly into numerology at the moment and find it very interesting what Linda has to say about that. It is a heavy book and it will take a long time to digest it so I am reading bits by bits - and really enjoying it. I am also curious to know what did happen to her daughter Sally...that is the only problem about this interesting book - LG sometimes leaves out a bit of information or wanders off, where it is sometimes difficult to follow her.. But a great book

Linda is a Goddess!
I'd been getting this book and her others out of my library for years now, but it was always hard to come by. I always check for her books when I go into other libraries. Because of this, I've noticed the strange penchant for Linda's books to disappear off the shelves. (considering how wonderful the books are, maybe it isn't so strange... ;) They're always returned late or never returned at all! It was unfortunate of me to contribute to that when I lent the library's copy of LINDA GOODMAN'S SUN SIGNS to my friend and he lost it!

One day I finally decided that it was time to get my own copy. I definitely didn't regret it. It's an absolutely indispensible book that you'll read again and again. Linda opened my eyes to so many things, and I'm eternally grateful for it. I've never tired of reading sections over again, it always seems as if I have something more to learn from them.

The numerology and lexigram sections are especially useful and enlightening. I did an analysis for my friend using LINDA GOODMAN'S STAR SIGNS, LINDA GOODMAN'S SUN SIGNS and LINDA GOODMAN'S LOVE SIGNS and we were both amazed at how accurate things were. Some of the things that were on the mark were so highly improbable that it took my breath away.

As one reviewer put it, some of the things in this book may appear "startling" and "unbelievable" but she only encourages you to be skeptical and to explore the possibilities yourself before you take it as truth. I have to say, it caught me off gaurd to read that shortly after I began to feel skeptical about what can be seen as truly outlandish proclamations.

The one and only thing that irritated me about this book is the fact that there are no sources listed in the end but perhaps that's what the Pilgrim's Progress really is. The Pilgrim's Progress is a list of her recommendations for becoming more knowledgeable in areas of Spirituality and the Occult.

Linda's very essence is in the pages of LINDA GOODMAN'S STAR SIGNS as well as in her other books. You get to know her and love her when you read her writing. I've found this is lacking in every astrology book I've read that's not written by Linda. (I'd be wary of LINDA GOODMAN'S RELATIONSHIP SIGNS though, I've read so many things that say it's not authentic Linda)

Essential Knowledge for the Esoteric Student
Approximately ten years ago, I checked this book out from the library and when I browsed the contents I was spooked and couldn't read it. I now know that "spooked" feeling comes when I am not ready to inherit such knowledge. In other words, I was not ready for this book. About six years ago, I read Star Signs in it's entirety and refer to it often when encountering life's mysteries. It is deep for the most part - one should not begin his or her spiritual journey with this book. Some prior knowledge of astrology and numerology is helpful. Goodman will educate you on your personal colors, herbs and foods that are good for your body, careers that you would be happy with, karma, past lives, and lexigrams. This book explains why some people can see ghosts and others cannot. Linda also touched on a quirky town in Colorado, Cripple Creek, that matched her eccentric personality (I had to visit this place after reading the book). There is so much information here - you will be able to refer back to it for your entire life! The bottom line is, Star Signs - written in 1987 - was way before it's time, however, Linda died five years ago so the knowledge had to be transmitted prematurely. I hope there is a resurgence of this book in the near future.

The title of this book is disgusting
The title of this book is disgusting. It equates a human partner with a piece of property. Your partner is someone you "own." He or she is an object that must be maintained, like your car or your home. Coming from that perspective will create subtle problems in every relationship. It's amazing a title like this could come from a so-called "spiritual" author. One of the central challenges in all authentic spirituality is abandoning the ownership mentality. Stay away from this book if you want real solutions to your relationships. You're much better off with the author's sister(Debbie Ford)'s books. Arielle is way on the shallow side.

Not just for New couples
Me and my boyfriend have been together for four and a half years. For his b-day I got a copy of this book for each of us and we swapped. You may think you know everything about your boyfriend/girlfriend, husband/wife, but you'd be surprised at the things this book includes. It has been so much fun for us and such a pleasure to go through. A great reminder that there's always more to learn.

Getting to Know You
A friend recommended that my boyfriend and I check out the "Owner's Manual." I bought two copies and spent an entire evening writing virtual instructions for my boyfriend... from how to rouse me from sleep to the best way to shake me out of a bad mood. It could not be any easier for him to finally understand the nuances of my hectic personality! I felt like I was writing in a diary and giving really intimate details into my life which, hopefully, will make my man all the more aware...

The book is relatively short, divided into sections with fill in the blank and short answer questions in each subject area. Has a beautiful cover -- not your typical scholarly-looking relationship workbook. Took a couple hours to thoughtfully answer all of the questions.

A must for any couple, new or old! My boyfriend is happy... and grateful for the prompts that made him think more fully about what makes him tick. Wonderful Christmas gift for all of your coupled friends!!

Incredibly Helpful
I'm not an astrology freak, but I find Linda Goodman's stuff of interest because it seems so incredibly accurate. This cassette tape provides fascinating information that can help you in all your relationships. If you don't understand why you have these little quirks in your dealings with certain people near and far, you will after listening to this. Of course having one of Ms. Goodman's books with the charts in the back to look up people's birthdates and specific combination of signs is a great help as well.

...elevates you to an etereal world, amidst the stars,....
Amongst the highly fascinating collection of love-poems, that I've ever read. It takes one to levels of joy, goodness and contentment, way above these worldly shackles. It's a book that I cherished very much, back then, and wanted to keep to read these poems later together with my life-partner! Sadly though, flirty hands got to them long before that; and I naver got to another copy since then!

Existentialist Horror
I found these two novellas to be disturbingly warped (but I liked that). Carrere imaginatively explores the dark side of the human mind, what our mind can do to us, in an interesting way. These stories are short, but they pack an emotional punch that you won't soon forget. Class Trip is about a young, hyperimaginative, lonely boy on a class skiing trip when something goes horribly wrong and the real world unfortunately catches up with the horrible world of his imagination. The Mustache is about a man who shaves off his mustache, only to have everyone he knows, including his wife, deny that it ever existed. Other bits of his world start vanishing without a trace and there is a clever ending. Both of these works are intriguing, eerie and fascinating. I would recommend them to anyone who wants a little sophisticated horror.

beautiful
the Class Trip is silly. however The Moustache is absolutely fascinating, disturbing and beautiful!

Class Trip >> A Masterpiece of Psychological Terror
Frist off, I've only read "Class Trip" so I can't comment on "The Mustache," sorry!

This slim novel vividly explores the psychological terror of Nicholas, a sheltered adolescent who is sent to a two-week ski-camp. He is obviously the wimpy outsider, and every encounter with classmates or adults becomes an intense mental test, in which the wrong word could prove fatal. Carerre's understated prose masterfully depicts the terror experienced by an over-imaginative child on his own for the first time, but the suspense really develops when a child from the village near the ski-camp goes missing and is found brutally murdered. While astute readers will easily foresee the conclusion from earlier hints, the inevitable endgame is both gripping and crushing. Someone else compared the book's tone to that of the excellent Dutch film "Spoorloss" (aka "The Vanishing"--not the American remake). That's an apt comparison, although this book has also been made into a movie as "La Classe de neige."

How much of this book is Linda Goodman and how much is not?
I was so happy to know Linda Goodman had put out another book, especially a book on interpreting in greater depths relationships. However I do have a few dispointments about this book: 1) I understand that Linda Goodman died in October 1995. This new book was released in 1998, so how much of this book is Linda Goodman and how much is not? 2) When interpreting one's moon signs and Ascendant signs and being born in the Southern Hemisphere, are these tables accurate for us or only people born in the northen hemisphere, in countries like America? If I was born in Australia, east coast do I have to add 12 to 14 hours? 3) After creating you and your partners chart, what is the interpretation for signs that are 30 degrees and 150 degrees apart in the chart. mention has only been made of Conjunct (0 degrees), Opposite (180 degrees), Sextile (60 degrees), Trine (120 degrees).

I believe that these are very important oversights in this book that can cause many misreadings and poor intrepretations of relationships readings. Without these items mentioned above then this book is a pointless read. Fill in the missing information and this book should stand beside Linda Goodmans other classics.

A valuable approach to understanding people.
I love all of Linda Goodman's books. There is no doubt that she is one of the most sensitive writers on Astrology and other metaphysical subjects. However, with her passing before the book was complete, there is a great deal of magic that has not been able to be duplicated in Relationship Signs. Linda Goodman seemed to be able to catch the interest of the reader and become like a good friend through her wise, wonderful words. While I think the book is a great look at relationships and a source for understanding those close to us, I can't help but think that ghost writers attempted to make the book sound more like Linda Goodman, when in fact there is only a meagre touch of her genius that is present. I have read all her works and thought of Linda Goodman as a friend. Relationship Signs is missing that very magical element of the author that the book claims as its own.

Linda Goodman has done it again with this magnificent book!
First I would like to address the review posted by "satori". This book and the definition of the aspects listed in this book are in my opinion 100% Linda Goodman. Any true believer and enlightened soul would without question see Linda Goodman in everything she has ever written!

For those of you comtemplating the purchase of this book, I assure you that in my honest and true opinion, it is the works of Linda herself. It is my understanding that the only part of the book which is not Linda's is the "How to use this book" section! That was the only part left incomplete! I have this on the highest authority!

Relationship Signs will help you reveal every aspect of your relationship with anyone, your mate, children, friends even your business partner! After I did my first chart and saw it's striking accuracy, I worked nearly non-stop for days compiling the charts of every relationship in my life! I now have a better understanding of many things that once puzzled me! By all means buy this book and unlock the secrets in your relationships.

To all of you fans who doubt the authenticity of this book, I invite you to open up your mind and your heart so your eyes will surely see, hence you will KNOW, that this book IS the work of Linda Goodman and it was her wish to leave this as her last gift to Us all! It should be cherished and treasured and if anything we should be grateful for the wonderful gift she has once again blessed us with!
