Spring Is Here
My daughter loves this book. It goes with us, everywhere. She has memorized it at 2 years old. "the storms rage" has always been something I can dramatize when reading it. Now, she has her own way of emphasizing it. LOVE IT!

a tour of the four seasons
the simple words and bold pictures lead babies and toddlers on a fun trip through the four seasons. this book helps children to use their imaginations to discover their environments.

Beautiful... Visually mesmerizing for both baby and parents
This has been our baby's favorite book since she was eight months old (she's now eleven months). We had tried lots of other picture books, but she would turn away from them after only a few pages at story time. But, this one really "clicked" with her. I was heartened to see how the pages held her interest. The images are simple, elegant and happy. Like the seasons, which is the story's theme, the pictures transition from one to another magically. It is like watching a slow motion animation. This helps immensely the development of a baby's cognitive ability. We add special effects to the reading, such as blowing wind when reading "the wind blows". It helps our baby to understand the story even better. As a parent, I consider "Spring is Here" one of the best books around for babies. As a designer/artist, I consider it a work of art.

Excelente libro
Es un libro excelente. De lenguaje sencillo, para los niños que están comenzando a leer. Muy gracioso y divertido.

Muy Loco!
Es un libra de caca! Tango la libra en ingles. Es muy interesante y intelente.

My Spanish is a little Rusty, sorry. I am definately going to buy this book. It explains bodily functions and is funny too. I also really like Spanish books because it helps my Spanish stay fresh. The English translations is "Everyone Poops". Caca is a much better word for it if you ask me. I am also going to buy this book for my Sister-in-law. She loves caca.

fun and gentle bus book
This attractive and simple book offers lots to look and and lots to discover. Our son will not outgrow it for a long time -- right now he is interested in looking at the busses and cars. Soon he can join in the simple "I Spy" game that the book presents. He has yet to discover the beautiful colors and shapes, and interesting places and people. I highly recommend this book for 18 months to kindergarten age. Fun for parents, too!

A Painful Hit
For most adults The Crocodile & The Dentist is likely to appear excruciatingly repetitive. This impression is not alleviated after 60 or 70 readings. In other words, it is a delight for 2 and 3 year olds, probably because of its repetitiveness. Youngsters will know by heart the story of the crocodile and dentist's mutual fear of one another long before they weary of hearing it read aloud.

Children LOVE Taro Gomi
This book has been critisized for being a cold and uninviting treatment of the subject of a child getting lost. In my experience as a mother and elementary school teacher I have found the exact opposite to be true. Children respond with rapt interest to the colorful illustrations and marvel as the die-cut pages are turned to reveal something unexpected every time. The language is simple and easy to follow, and the story of a young child separated from his parent in the mall is something children can all relate to. Taro Gomi's books are especially popular with young children (1-7yrs) for their simple text and unique illustrations and "I Lost My Dad!" is no exception. I recommend this and all Taro Gomi's books to parents of children who love to read.

A delightful read!
This book is the first and last choice of my 15-month-old daughter every night before she goes to bed. She delights in the pictures and simple text, and asks for it to be read over and over again. The age description says 4 to 8 years, but even the youngest readers can enjoy the colorful pictures and the story's adorable heroine.

Santa experiencing appearance and reality. Great!
A beautiful Christmas book for little children. Superb colours and design. The story very well illustrates how careful one has to be with appearance as reality always turns out to be different. My little niece enjoyed it very much. This is definitely one of the best children's books I know. Congratulations Taro Gomi!

A pleasant surprise
The very first time I read this to my daughter she asked me to read it again... then again... and again. Now, she 'reads' it to us! She cannot read the words, but she remembers them from the pictures.

Nice illustrations. Get's the 1-2 year olds involved by having them find something in the pictures.

Great learning book for children
"Everyone Poops" is an excellent well-written book with simple vocabulary children can understand. The illustrations are colorful, and accurately show a variety of animals and humans pooping. The greatest thing about this book, is that the author shows a young child sitting on a potty or tiolet, and the actual poop falling into the bowl. Children can identify with the realistic illustrations, and learn that it is okay to poop because everyone poops! I highly recommend this book to any parent with children who are about to enter into the potty training stage.

Because everyone really does
I have to say that I saw this book when my son was a baby and I kept it in mind for when he was ready to potty train. He loves this book. He doesn't just love this book. He is obsessed with this book. Within the first 18 hours of owning it we'd read it at least 10 times. And there was 12 hours of sleeping in that time frame. It's good for reading on the potty and off. It can be read anywhere and every time it's as new and exciting as the first (to a two-year-old at least).

In all seriousness though, it really is a very good book for children. At the very least, it makes them feel as if they are not alone in their bodily functions. And at the most it is (for those who are not squeamish) hilarious.

Campy, wonderful coffee table book
My husband and I saw this wonderful gem of a book in a local store and laughed hysterically as we read it aloud.

Not because the book is rediculous or clownish or at all in bad taste. On the contrary -- parents will find "Everyone Poops" to be an invaluable and tasteful way to introduce the realities of "Number Two" to their potty-training preschoolers.

We laughed because it was very refreshing to see this subject treated in such an earnest, straightforward fashion. All too often, certain body parts and their functions are considered somehow shameful or taboo. If we are, as many people believe, divinely fashioned by our Creator, how then can we believe any part of us is less than divine? This book is a valuable first step in learning about one of our bodies' entirely natural processes.

Besides that, the book is a perfect antidote for jaded adult sensibilities. Admit it -- indulging in a little harmless fixation on bodily functions now and then can be a lot of fun. If you don't believe me, ask your child to sing you the verses to "Diarrhea" and see if you don't secretly find yourself wanting to sing along.

"Everyone Poops" was our Christmas gift to my husband's younger, bachelor brother. We told him it was the ultimate coffee table book, and I plan to buy a copy for our coffee table too (When we get a coffee table, that is).

A little difficult at first
My 19 month old really enjoys this book. He found it very difficult at first and wasn't sure where the objects were hidden in the pictures. It really is helpful that the object they are looking for is pictured on the left, alone, so they understand what they are looking for in the picture on the right. After the first time, though, he finds it rewarding to be able to locate the objects. I personally found some of the objects so well hidden, blended into the picture, that I had to really look myself to find the object. For instance, they have to find a green pencil in a picture of about 10 praying mantis'. Only one has the pencil as his body. Another you have to locate a playing card with hearts on about 10 butterflies. It's a fun book that my child reaches for over and over.
