It was very educational, I highly recommend this book .
The Gateway Arch has many beautiful pictures. It tells why the arch was invented and whose idea it was to be an arch. This book shows every step of the arch being built and it is a very beautiful sight from the book. I highly recommend this book to others, because it is a very educational book. It gives a very excellent description of the arch. This is my first book about a real place with such beauty and I do believe it is the best educationl book.

Steven Jobs & Stephen Wozniak: Creating the Apple Computer (Partners)
Published in School & Library Binding by Blackbirch Marketing (1994)
Authors: Keith Elliot Greenberg, Jim Spence, and Bruce S. Glassman
Amazon base price: $14.45
Average review score:

Hmmmmmm
Being an advid reader I knew it was just a matter of time before Steve & Steve would be known via the sanitized filter of our collective cultural hubris machine. Still having the founders of Apple held up in this light will produce interesting effects upon Generation's Y (a name I dislike) when they get old enough to read the in depth historys.

This one fact is indisputable, they worked hard!

Face to Face With Bret "Hit Man" Hart (Official World Wrestling Federation)
Published in School & Library Binding by Blackbirch Marketing (1994)
Authors: Edward R. Ricciuti, Keith Elliott Greenberg, and Bruce S. Glassman
Amazon base price: $6.95
Average review score:

Lies and fluff in big print
This is essentially a book for the under-5's that does nothing apart from tell everyone how great Bret Hart is, over and over again. The minimal text and lots of blank page space just makes the whole thing that much worse. Unless you are a REALLY huge Bret Hart fan(which is very unlikely considered) avoid this cheap knockoff.

It is the best book I've ever read.
It really gets into Bret's life and I had a better idea of what his life is like and how he had struggles he's had to deal with.It was cool to see how he overcame it all. It was interesting to see what his values are. He is one of my favorite superstars. The book also states what Bret's family life is like and is like as a father. The book states also how well Known Bret is and how admieable he is and how he makes a great role model. Michelle

First Facts About U.S. History (First Facts About)
Published in School & Library Binding by Blackbirch Marketing (1996)
Authors: David C. King, Elaine Pascoe, and Bruce S. Glassman
Amazon base price: $34.95

A good, if spotty, history
This book is one of the First Facts About Series. This book is divided into six chapters, each containing six to ten sections on a specific subject. Each of these sections is laid out on two, facing pages, the first (left-hand) one contains a very large picture, whole the second (right-hand) page contains the text, plus two sidebars on a related topic. The finale of the book is a chronology of important dates in the history of the United States.

This attractive book is a colorful addition to any library. In a short work, it does cover American history in a comprehensive, if spotty, manner. While this is a good book for a young reader to peruse for an introduction to U.S. history, I do think that it is a bit too light on facts.

John Paul Getty: Billionaire Oilman (Giants of American Industry)

Disappointed
I was disappointed with this book as with most books about J P Getty because it failed to talk about his home life in any detail. In particular, it failed to mention how he treated his wives, children, and grandchildren; how he refused to pay the ransom for one even though he knew about his whereabouts. It basically glossed over everyone he left behind, including his grandson William Paul Getty who celebrated his birthday one day after J P Getty's death.

A Good History Of Getty!
This book is an outstanding history of J. Paul Getty. It well covers the story of his business career and the building of a sizeable fortune. This book covers his career from the beginning until his death in 1976. The novel also points out the fact that Getty was a millionaire at a young age. This publication also gives good coverage to the establishment of the Getty museum. It is pointed out that Getty,in his older years had actually become a philanthropist. This book is without question a very good coverage of the life of one of the giants in American industry. Read this book. You will be well satisfied.
