Professor Hossein Bidgoli, in his 1997 publication, Modern Information Systems for Managers, addresses a wide range of MIS topics ranging from information systems basics to an in-depth discussion of topics such as geographical information systems, group support systems, total quality management and information systems reengineering. This book is suitable for MBA level and undergraduate MIS capstone courses, as well as for professional corporate level training courses. Modern Information Systems for Managers covers a broad range of topics ranging from basic information systems and computer literacy to emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence and expert systems. Major topics include: information systems basics, hardware and software concepts, database concepts, and a thorough discussion of the social and legal issues involved with the implementation and utilization of information systems. Artificial Intelligence topics include a thorough discussion of expert systems development. Through in-depth discussion and accompanying case examples, Professor Bidgoli presents the information in an easy to comprehend manner. Modern Information Systems for Managers is a must read for both IT managers and IT students. I have used this book in a classroom environment and students found it very easy to understand. This book is highly recommended for both professional and educational use.

The order of the writings follows the natural treatment processes: initiation, working alliance, (counter)transference, resistance, and finally termination.
Especially, the Sarnoff's profound writings about 'transference' and 'the use of fantasy, dreams and play' were quite informative and insight-provoking. Because of the theoretical depth of his writing, I think I need to revisit his chapters sooner or later.
Following Sarnoff's theoretical expertise, Ruttenberg's chapter regarding interpretation provided me with the rich clinical materials. Through her honest share of her experiences, I could grab the sense of real therapeutic interactions with young clients. It is noteworthy that Ruttenberg's easy-to-read writings styles were great enjoyment for me who read English as a secondary language. I became her fan.
Prall's chapter regarding countertransference had neat summary of the unique countertransfer issues in relation to the young clientele, as well as plentiful case examples.
In retrospect, the combination of the conceptual and clinical writings seems the greatest strength of this book. You might find similar pleasure of mine from this book, and unearth values of your own from other chapters as well.
