I thought that the Concerto in F-George Gershwin- was written well. I had heard the song before and decided that I would like to learn how to play it. The 2-part version of the music was all that I found, so I bought that. I have seen piano solo copies of music before and thought they were two easy, but with both the piano and the orchestra parts on music, you have the complete piece. The only problem that I found with this copy was trying to find another pianoist to play the part with me. When I couldn't get a second pianoist, I just combined important sections from each staff and made my own hard solo piece.

So, if you want to have a challenge in learning Gershwin, choose to buy this song.

Jablonski and Stewart have done diligent research and this is a very useful compendium of data, but they are too much invested in a kind of sycophantic worship to present a truly incisive or analytic sense of this immensely creative duo. Stewart's contribution as Ira Gershwin's one-time assistant is especially problematic for its lack of objectivity. And the writing throughout is quite pedestrian.
