Fantastic book
I should admit at the start that my mother wrote this book, and that I am biased toward her work. This is the seventh book in the Adam Joshua series, and one of my favorites. This book, and the series, details the life of my sister and I, plus a variety of other characters. Despite the book being named "Nelson in Love," (Nelson is actually Scott, my best friend for the past 13 years) the book is actually about my first true love. At the time Mom was writing the book, I thought it was romantic that my love was being immortalized in print. After all the years of suffering through her publicizing my periods of thinking I was Superman and running around in a cape, and my fear of monsters, and even my fights with my sister, I was finally reaping the rewards. That lasted right up until the moment we broke up. By then the book was already at press, and it was too late to change the girl's name. Some day my children (her grandchildren) will ask who Heidi was. My mother's personal dedica

What's Claude Doing?
I think this book is the sweetest thing that I have ever read. Anyone who has had a dog will love this book. Claude, who is the cutest Bassit Hound that you have ever seen, stays home from playing with his animal friends to watch over his sick boy to make sure he doesn't get lonely. It makes me miss my dog, and wish that she could be with me now, making sure that I don't get lonely. It is also a good book for those times that you want a book to read to a child, but you don't want one that is to complex or long. It is short and sweet, but in the same time filled with meaning and sentiment.

THOROUGHLY TESTED, OFTEN REQUESTED
Poppy becomes dissatisfied when he notices that all the other toys have clothes and he doesn't. He complains to his best friend, a little girl named Katie, who does her best to help. Poppy won't wear just anything so Katie goes to great lengths to try to please him, having him try on one thing after another. The results of their search for just the right outfit yield hilarious results.

This book was by far the most often requested bedtime story by both my son and my daughter when they were younger. The antics of Poppy and Katie never fail to delight my young audience when I've read it to my preschool students at story time. The text is easy to follow and lively, and the illustrations are wonderful.

A great kid's book - a shame that it's out of print
Grab a used copy while you can! This is a great children's book with a funny story that you won't mind reading the 2.8 million times your kids will ask to hear it. Is a perfect read-aloud book that lends itself to animated voices and laughing together with your kids. Will appeal to a wide age-range of kids. My youngest was hooked on it at 10.5 months old! "Poppy" (or some variation thereof) was one of her first words. Highly recommended but out of print, so get a used one while they last.

Serious Science (Adam Joshua Capers, No 10)

Attention Second and Third Graders!
I think that this book is really fun because Adam Joshua cheats on his math test by making someone else do it for him so he can finish his science project. In the book they take away the skeleton they have in the science room and . . . read more to find out what happens!

Is Serious Science for you?
I think that Serious Science is a good book for a lot of kids. It might be a little hard for people and it might be a little easy for people. But, it's perfect for me!

Just how many places can a Great Dane hide ?
Richard comes home to his apartment one day to find his Great Dane missing ! Is he in the closet or under the rug ? He eventually finds him , but no at home. Cute little story about a boy and his dog, er dogs.Read it and you'll see .This is my personal copy from my childhood.I love the bathroom picture.

Wonderful Children's Story
This is an outstanding children's book from my childhood. I can remember it being read on Captain Kangaroo. It has great illistrations and add to the story's delight.

Milton is a great dane (dog) who has wandered away and no one can find him. His owner has looked high and low. It is a sweet story about family and losing something very special. And most of all it is a story of new life and love. If I tell anymore I will spoil the story. (don't worry Milton is found and is just fine.)

It is a hard to find book but well worth the search. I enjoyed sharing something from my childhood with my own child.

What a child should not do....
Excellent example of what a child should not do. Binky starts by running into a dog, ignoring posted signs, making noise through a hospital zone, and knocking things over without even stopping to offer assistance. Binky finds that by failing to follow his fathers request to drive careful his privilege to drive is systematically taken away. First, by limiting his range then, by removing key components for operating the vehicle.

A clever rural Vermont tall tale with a happy ending.
The author of this book is my sister. However, the book is a delightful, imaginative romp on a poor sidehill farm in Vermont. It describes a farmer at his wit's end for lack of money for his family. A miraculous rolling hay "tumble" or drying pile gets him out of his tough times, believe it or not by helping with the chores, and the world suddenly looks better. It's a tale that youngsters all over Vermont have loved when my sister gives presentations at one-room and larger elementary schools around Vermont.
