Good book for people who think erotica is also literature
A great look at how this extraordinary porn writer influenced his peers, through their own words. The book includes fiction, essays, and true stories that brought me to tears, laughter, and a warm feeling between my legs. A good book for the person who understands that erotica is a literary form

Straight talk about psychotherapy!
This is the only book I have ever read that explains what occurs in psychotherapy. It is exceptionally clear, it is written in plain English, it is realistic (talks about benefits and limitations of therapy), and it is compassionate. The book also helps potential therapy clients pick the right therapist and become more well informed about which therapies work best for which types of problems.

John Preston at his best
This anthology of short stories --almost all written before Preston discovered he was HIV positive-- is excellent. This is the Preston of "Mr. Benson". Do not miss it!

Every chapter of this book is well written and informative
As a nursing clinical coordinator of a dual diagnosis program here in Miami, Florida I would purchase this book again. Initially I balked at the high price for such a physically small book. Later when I was able to immediately begin utilizing separate chapters in my educational groups my patients loved the material presented. Most therapy book are either dry with too many nonessential facts to provide for intresting readying. I did not find that true with this excellent reference tool.

An Access Workbook
This was exactly the book I was looking for. Plenty of books explain database concepts, some explain Access concepts. This is a workbook that shows you how to USE Acess, rather than explaining it to you. It won't explain why things work, but it will show you how.
I had a general grasp of database concepts but needed practice in using Access. This book gave it to me. I wouldn't buy this book as my only Access book. But if you've been reading up on databases, and still can't create the application you need, this book may help.
All three books in this series are great!
I had to learn Access for my job, and found this three-volume series. The books were designed for classes, but worked very well on their own. The second book built on the basic topics (creating tables, forms, queries, reports, etc.) that were introduced in the first book. It used a step-by-step method, and the examples were real-life, not some widget company, which really helped. I am not a computer whiz, but I picked up this difficult subject without too much trouble!
Genuine hands-on training.
Contains seven (7) projects consisting of many hands-on lessons. Excellent (but also optional), real-world follow-up questions and "Applying Your Skills" sections. Far replaced from typical "Exam Guide" books which give you lots of book knowledge but not as much experience, this $23 book provides true learning. More training books should be like this.

Excellent collection
A great collection of arousing and literary erotica. Some of the best and most imaginative pieces of writing in the genre. Very much worth the read!
Intelligent erotica for the mind and body
Very good read...with two stories by Anne Rice (always a good thing). I was particularly impressed with how the anthology of different writers flowed together very nicely. Often anthology books are very choppy...and I find myself reading one story at a time. Here, I read the whole book in one sitting.
Aaron Travis' "Blue Light" was incredible. He really explores bondage erotica in a way that I have never seen before. Clay Caldwell's "Horny Corners" was extremely witty. Overall A+.
A must-have classic collection of contemporary gay erotica
The late Preston, the gifted author of the classic "Mr. Benson," began editing the "Flesh and The Word" series with this classic compilation of contemporary gay erotica. Each section begins with a thoughtful summary of the stories therein. Fans of Anne Rice will find especially valuable the two excised homoerotic chapters from "Exit to Eden," but there are several classic stories as well, including Aaron Travis's (AKA Steven Saylor) "Blue Light," one of the most amazing short stories ever written in any genre. Some of the best writers of gay erotica are represented, including T. R. Witomski, John Wagenhauser, and Samuel M. Steward. The book is as enlightening as it is arousing for people of all genders, and a groundbreaker in terms of promoting the acceptance of erotic writing as literature. A must-have for collectors of erotica!

Mumbo Jumbo
This book is full of lots of technical information that help understand the program to its fulliest extend. There is a large array of information that left me wit ha better understanding and a clearer view. This book is great for quick lookups and quality information. This book doesn't leave my side when I am at the office.
I Highly Recommend Access 2000 Essentials Advanced
This book is very clearly written and easy to follow. I consider it quite a find as it was the about only Advanced Access 2000 book written in a tutorial format that [website] had.
(I'm presently studying the other tutorial Access 2000 book, Access 2000 Essentials Intermediate, which I also recommend.)

Gotta love...
Got to love the Coens, and thheir style of filmmaking. Read it.
Buy it
This is a terrific book for anyone interested in the Coen brother's films, or indeed anyone interested in the filmmaking process. While the book is true to its title, other Coen films such as 'Raising Arizona', 'Miller's Crossing' and 'Barton Fink' are also briefly discussed. Along with spotlighting Joel and Ethan's work practises, the book looks in detail at the storyboards, cinematography, set and wardrobe design on 'The Big Lebowski'. Of particular interest is the comparison of still frames with their orginal storyboards during a detailed breakdown of 4 Lebowski scenes. Also appreciated is Robertson's practise of actually explaining many of the film terms used is the book, recognising that not all his reader's are Directors!

Awesome assistance for passing the exam
I used MOUS Essentials books for both the Access 97 and Excel 97 expert exams. They were really good for the exam preparation. I passed both exams on the first try. The PinPoint software that comes on the CD with the books is great practice for the exam. It enables you to get used to the same interaction as you have to use in the actual testing environment. I did experience a few "glitches" in the software, but the technical support was very helpful, and the overall practice that it gave me for the test far surpassed any little problems I might have experienced. I highly recommend the whole series of these books for anyone interested in taking any of the expert exams.
Good book for School/Train/Coarse use, not as a reference
I found the book to be very good if you need to learn Access from the beginning or intermediate, and wants to sit down and follow the steps and work with the book. For teaching students/class, or as a self study it is a great book. But if you are interested in getting more technical information, "Inside Stuff" as the book sayes, you need another reference book. The book would have gotten 5 stars as a schoolbook if it had an extra page or two for each lesson about what you just learned really does (what happens behind the fancy window you created). I hope the Access 2000 version will have some of that :-)
This book helped me pass the certification exam!
I had learned Access on my own using the three-volume Essentials series by these same authors, which I really liked. I got a copy of this book and went through the whole thing. Even though I am not really a computer whiz (and was really nervous), I took the test and passed it on the first try. Here's a hint: If you are using this book to prepare for the MOUS certification, you might want to spend a little extra time on attaching macros.
