A decent book, but a little confusing in parts. If Brady would spend a little more time examining this module, I feel as though they can make it a little less imposing and a little more readable.
Excellent resource manual
Excellent reference for the EMT-B

Interesting, good examples, but not all that usefulNegatives: The book does not use the Visual C++ wizards. The author states this up front. But who would actually use Visual C++ without the wizard tools? I think after showing the information about MFC the author could have then shown how to do the same things with the wizards.
Okay.........
A Great Little bookThe book of course only covers a small part of MFC. The authors do not cover Wizards and the Document/View architecture. So after reading this book you must read some other book that covers those topics. There are lots of them. You will find a dozen in any book store.
But read this book first. Otherwise Wizards and Document/View apps will just seem like black magic. This book will give you a solid foundation that helps you understand what you are doing.

not based on factHowever, if you are looking to lose weight and need a "plan" this one will probably work and as it emphasizes plant products it is probably a healthier way of eating than many other fad diets.
An excellent approach to natural weight loss! The book is actually based on the study of Natural Health, or more specifically Natural Hygiene, which is a lifestyle philosophy which has been practiced for over 100 years. Natural Hygiene is a way of eating that is in harmony with the bodies natural cycles, thereby allowing the body to cleanse itself of built up toxins which our normal western style diets don't allow. Basically the body has three main cycles, but the key one for good health and weight loss is the elimination cycle.. Fit for Life shows you how to eat in a manner that is in harmony with these body cycles and the result can be a dramatic increase in energy and feelings of well being, as well as a resultant loss of excess fats and toxins.
If you have never read Fit For Life you should most definetly get yourself a copy and give it a read. It makes good common sense and after a week following the principles you'll feel great and be on the road to good health and losing those excess pounds.
Not a diet - just a healthy way to eatI'd also like to point out that the authors explain their ideas to be theoretical, not scientifically proven. I had a few people debate the theories in this book but the bottom line for me was that it worked, I felt great and it made sense to me. Meat and dairy are discouraged for good reasons. People asked me how I was getting my protein since I had cut back on my meat intake. There are other sources of protein....soy, nuts, some vegetables...things that I was eating a lot more of. And it's a proven fact that dairy is very difficult for your digestive system to break down. There are other sources of calcium as well. Take my advice, if you commit to this plan, it will not fail you. You'll be glad you did. And it's not a diet that you should stop once you've reached your goal weight; it's a new way of eating.

The Riddle of His LifeChapter I tells of Oswald's youth. His favorite program was 'I Led Three Lives for the FBI", his ambition was to join the Marine Corps (p.59). He was elected president of his 8th grade class, his intelligence was above average. But schooling in NY city gave him Karl Marx as a hero (p.60)! Oswald joined the Marines, took the Radar Operator's course, and was sent to Atsugi where the CIA's U-2 was flown. Oswald minded his business and did his job well (p.68); he would travel to Tokyo on a 48-hour pass and keep it a secret (p.71). Oswald romanced a high-class hostess and brought her to the base. "There was nothing dumb about Oswald" (p.82). After he left the Marines he went to Moscow; someone there told him "the USSR is only great in literature" [fiction?] and he should go back home (p.106). Oswald was sent to Minsk, and again advised to go back home (p.108). Oswald learned more about "The New Class" and the reality behind the fiction. Pages 110-1 analyze Oswald's diary, and why it was fabricated. Page 137 wonders about Lee's marriage to Marina; but don't girls with an unhappy life at home marry the first chance they get? Oswald's changing statements when preparing his return are analyzed (p.153).
Book Three introduces George De Mohrenschildt, who made arrangements in October 1962 to move the Oswalds to Dallas from Fort Worth (p.189). (You wonder who was in control then?) Page 212 claims Oswald took a shot at General Walker, but presents no physical evidence. Oswald's' activities portrayed him as pro-Castro (p.229).
Other sources said Oswald had David Ferrie's library card in his possession; there is no mention in this book. Were other facts omitted? The 'Epilogue' says Nosenko was sent to deliver disinformation to the CIA, FBI, and Warren Commission (p.260); the latter wanted to believe this double-agent. Appendix D has a number of questions to clarify Oswald's life. Was this the last book to repeat the conclusions of the Warren Commission? You can find other books that offer more insight into the events of November 22-24 1963, and the aftermath. (The book "High Treason" goes into more detail on the JFK assassination and cover-up.)
Reads like a great spy novel, but it really happened!

Useful for a Specific type of HikerMy biggest complaint was that it did not provide enough info on long/tough hikes. The format was good - clear, concise with nice lists - but it was not geared towards long, multiday hikes. (It has two or three I think). But it also does not have the same level of info on resturants, pubs, places to stay, as in some of the better guide books.

a fun way to learn about the states
The reading goes quickly even though repetitive sometimes. The information is up to date and is what your doctor should be telling you!
Note: This book isn't as much for people who want to be 100% healthy, as it targets a broud range of people. If your goal is to be 100% healthy, I'd recommend looking for literature on raw or living foods, juicing, and colon care.
