Its breast growing time Nicole!
One day Nicole woke up and looked into the mirror and she saw the same thing she saw every day, her young, fresh but flat no curved body, she had a flat chest and a small butt. But Nicole didn't really mind at least she could do more things than the girls she knew that had already grown breasts and their butts have enlarged. Later Nicole went to school and felt kind left out with her curveless body, then she went to one of her friends to talk about her body. Her friend said everything would be ok and whispered something under her breath that Nicole couldn't make out. Then Nicole went home. Later that night Nicole started to feel strange and went to look into the mirror. Nicole didn't notice anything and then she went to sleep. The next morning Nicole woke up and felt great. Then she walked over to the mirror and gasped. Nicole noticed that her breasts had grown, pressing against her shirt so that she could see her nipples. Nicole then looked in the mirror again and she saw that her butt had also grown larger and her waist had got narrower. Nicole noticed her butt felt really tight in her pants. Nicole looked at her breasts agin, she couldn't beleive what was happening!

A terrific addition to you child's library!
These books (Busy Day at the Airport, Busy Day at the Harbor, Busy Day at the Garage, Busy Day at the Building Site, and BusyDay at the Train Station.) by Philippe Dupasquier are absolutely wonderful! I must say we have them all! They say they are meant for 4-8 year olds, but my 2 1/2 year old loves them!! I rather enjoy them too. The illustrations are wonderful and you see something new each time you read the story. Each book goes through a typical day at each given place. For example: A Busy Day at the Airport starts out with 'Sylvester Dustpan' arriving at the airport. (He's the 'custodial engineer'.) Other airport attendants arrive, get to work and airplanes start taking off and landing. There are interesting things to notice on each page. At the end of the story, the airport closes for the day and Sylvester Dustpan is the last to leave... After you read the story, the cover-flaps of the books have puzzles, quizzes and questions to go with each story. (Meant for the older child.) It's fun to see if your child (and even you) can answer each of the questions - without peaking!!

Fun story and great puzzles in one book
The "busy day" series written by Philippe Dupasquier has a great format for reading the story then asking questions. My son and I found these books when he was 3 and now at 5 we still pick them up and do "homework" together (he loves the idea of homework as a result of older friends!). The front and back covers flip open from the inside to reveil great puzzels, true and false questions, and other fun activities for each double page. The illustrations are bright and fun - each page filled with detail. A Busy Day at the Garage is a book everyone will pick up over and over again - even if you aren't a auto mechanic!

Grandson's Favorite
Whenever my soon-be-four year old grandson visits, we MUST read A Busy Day at the Garage. Dupasquier's illustrations, text, and puzzles cover interest and skill ranges that have kept him (and me) fascinated for the past year and a half. In fact, Donovan has asked for the other books in the series for his birthday.

DEAR DADDY, who is away on a ship for a year...
This book is a letter from a young daughter to her dad, who is away on a ship, traveling to Asia, for a whole year. The illustrations show what is happening at home and what is happening where Daddy is. It is excellent for children whose parents are away for long periods of time. It could also be an excellent springboard geography discussions. My second graders enjoyed it.

A great book for story telling, contains pictures only.
I have used this book with children at many levels of development. It is a great book for language expansion because it has no text, only pictures. The illustrations are wonderful, my students love this book.

A Must read for all children AND adults
I absolutely love the social message that this book sends. My Children love the brightly coloured pictures and they will see through this book that TV really is a menace to all things good, but that most of all it is a menace first and foremost to themselves...

A whimsical, realistic and fun story
When neighbor Mrs. Spikes gets a duck, the family next door is intrigued at first - but the duck won't settle down and its quacking is driving them nuts. The neighbors become alienated and finally the perfect act of revenge is imagined: the family gets a duck of their own - and peace returns unexpectedly. A whimsical, realistic and fun story of how differences are solved.

A Country Far Away
Using a unique style of arringing text and pictures, this book allows children to compare and contrast two very different cultures for themselves. The simplistic text is arranged in the center of the page describing daily events that happen in the life of a young boy. Two sets of pictures, above and below, surround the text. The top pictures display a boy doing an action in a small African village, while the lower pictures exhibit the same action being done by a boy in a United States suburb.
I belive this book is an exceptional teaching tool for younger children. It is an enticing introduction to the concept of comparing and contrasting countries. I like the simplistic language used that allows readers to delve into the illustrations to find similarities and differences between the two cultures on thier own. I would be a little careful using this book because of stereotypes that could be perceived. All parts of the countries might not be represented by the illustrations. A facilitator could help to point out that although the illustrations portray what it is like in some parts of the country, it could be very different throughout other parts of that country.

Help your kids understand life outside the US
I found this book very thought-provoking, both for myself and my 4-year-old boy. The text about what each child does in his day is very simple, but the pictures dramatically illustrate the differences in their lives. "Where is their car? Where are all his toys? Why is their house dark?", my son asked! It's hard for me to explain poverty or why our worlds are so different, but at least now he seems to be a little less focused on "I want that!", since he realizes how much other children of the world NEED. It's worth buying for your family, and would be great for starting classroom discussions as well.
Wonderful book!
This is a wonderful book to share with children. The illustrations depict stark differences between a little boy in America and a little boy in Africa even though they are doing the same things. This is an excellent teaching tool to use when explaining to children that although we do things in a different way, we are all very much alike.
