Hopeless book for any purpose
The book has a very limited reference to MATLAB syntax. MATLAB helpdesk is far more useful than this book. Don't waste money on it.

Generous engineering examples
I thought the book displayed several engineering excercises with fully-explained script files. I recently employed part of the 'conic' file derived in this book to help solve a problem at work dealing with eccentricity! It also isolated the animation process rather well.

PLO and Israel: From Armed Conflict to Political Solution
An all-star cast of sixteen academics, all but one either Palestinian or Israeli, attended a 1994 conference at Hebrew University; The PLO and Israel memorializes their deliberations. The book bears close attention because, with only some exceptions (fine chapters by Hillel Frisch, Galia Golan, Meir Litvak, Shaul Mishal, Barry Rubin), one of Israel's leading institutions has issued a document that for all intents and purposes serves as Palestinian propaganda. In this it represents the thinking of Israel's elite.

The apologetics begin in the subtitle, where the main question roiling Israel public life (are negotiations with the Palestinians leading to peace or not?) is flat-out assumed (of course it is). They continue in the introduction by Sela, where he deems the post-1967 PLO 'an authentic Palestinian national organization,' refers to 'intransigent Israeli hostility' to the PLO (but not PLO hostility to Israel), and adopts such PLO terminology as the 'Palestinian revolution.' From here the drumbeat goes on. Muhammad Muslih learnedly details the PLO's 'numerous peace initiatives' between 1974 and 1988. Manuel Hassassian's chapter on PLO changes in the thirty years to 1994 is subtitled 'a democracy in the making.' The editors assure us that the PLO now 'adheres to the norms of international legitimacy.' Eyad El Sarraj describes the 'sort of ecstasy' induced by the intifada. And Baruch Kimmerling finds in the election of Binyamin Netanyahu proof that the Israeli Jews were not 'ripe' for 'a reasonable settlement' with the Palestinians.

Not very informative
I collect books on Kabbalah, Sufism, Buddhism and enjoy reading about Eastern Philosophy in general. But this book is not a broad disscussion of anything (as the description may lead you to believe). Whole sections are restated biblical scripture interspersed with simple meditative concepts such as controling your thoughts and expectations. Chapters such as "Attractive Personality" are hardly what I expect to find in a scholarly work. These can be found in any of the most basic books on new age thought. The author comes accross more as a preacher than a learned man. Also the author seems to believe that simply calling Jesus and God by their old biblical names is supposed to create some mystical state in the reader. Needless to say it doesn't. I regret this purchase.

Honestly, this book is a waste of time, space and matter.
Intrigued by the title, which inspires a technologically influenced reprisal of by gone values, I chose this book to read for pleasure. However, I was vastly disappointed by its self-serving content, marginal intelligence and complete lack of genuine self help advice. The author, the self-professed "second Moses" who has suffered and sacrificed for others on the level of Martin Luther King, Jr., yields no evidence of such sacrifice, and would have benefitted from a dose of humility while penning his thoughts. The book's message is superficially innocuous, espousing simple means of viewing life in an effort to find happiness and peace. However, the disarming cultish undertone, encouraging readers to become a part of the "Members of the Tribe of the Future" and leave the more ignorant (deemed doomed and "ikorgant" by the author, who frequently coins and defines such terms for the increasingly irritated reader). It is however, deserving of at least a one star rating, as those who select this book not for enlightenment, but for a good laugh, will not be disappointed.
