Creme de Colorado is the most wonderful cookbook. I have a variety of other cookbooks and I always find something to please from the recipes in the Creme. From the mexican selections to the pastries, breads and desserts...everything is wonderful with great results. I highly recommend this cookbook to anyone - you'll throw your other books away! If you're looking for recipes to prepare with your game meat - has wonderful recipes from the finest restaurants in Colorado. You can't miss with this book!

If we know you and you're married, we've probably sent you a copy of this book. It's a great wedding present--because it offers so many easy, yet creative and satisfying recipes. It's the best Junior League cookbook that this "foodie" has seen--even better than the other Junior League of Denver offerings. My personal favorites are the Szechwan Cashew Chicken, the Marinated Chicken Breasts in Pepper Sauce and the Angel Hair with Basil and Crab. I would note that the book is light on seafood recipes (it's from land-locked Colorado--duh!), but more than makes up for it with excellent poultry, pasta and salad offerings.

People always give me cookbooks "to help". I would try one or two recipes, but they were always mediocre or I would eventually make a recipe that tasted awful.

... and then I got this book. EVERY dish I've made from this book has gotten rave reviews and people photocopying my book. I've tried at least a dozen recipes and they are outstanding. It is the only cookbook I use.

I purchased ALFIE online auctionit took me 3 tries to obtain it.It was well worth the time, moneyand wait. I have John on CD reading it and now to have the bookto go along with is a joy, my children grew up on John's music and they at a young age picked up on his concern for all living things, they have instilled in their children the same love of allthings and to take care not to harmany of God"s beauty he gave us to enjoy, and to pass them along unharmed and unchanged to futuregenerations. Great book read it and remember it.

Love the book, Alfie the Christmas Tree. The message is simple, yet encourages all who read it to remember all living things during the Holiday Season. And I quote Mr. Denver,"Say a prayer for the Wind, and the Water, and the Wood, and those that live there too".

As a complete and utter novice to Macrobiotic dieting & lifestyle, I couldn't ask for a better definitive guide! This book avoids the lofty, philosophical language usually associated with natural & so-called "alternative" diets, and you don't have to drive a 1970 Volkswagon van to be in sync with its format! The staple foods are clearly explained (along with detailed definitions of the Asian foods, which may be fairly obscure to most Americans, me included). I became interested in this diet when Madonna brought it mainstream, but had reservations about my ability to manage it myself.... would I need a staff of professional celebrity-worthy chefs, like Madonna probably has, or could I follow its format on an every-day basis, including shopping & stocking the kitchen? With this book, the answer is "yes". I recommend it not only for a macrobiotic diet, but also for vegan dieters (as it excludes dairy & eggs, as well as meat).

Explains which foods can be eaten & how often as well as giving recipes

I think this book is the best introduction of the macrobiotic practice. It includes everything you need to know to begin and will give you plenty to think about for a long,long time. It is clear, interesting, thought-provoking, and challenging. It changed my life.

This was John Denver at his best, all his greatest hits and then some... This is a absolute buy for anyone who loved John Denver or for anyone who enjoys good heartfelt music. Brings back all the memories of better days gone by.. when life was a little simpler.

This is a FUN book! There are a lot of songs (34 of them!)The arrangements are very nice, and they range from easy to play, to more of a challenge, so there's something for everybody. I highly recommend it! It's a great way to get some fun piano (or guitar) practice and enjoy the beauty of John's songs.

This is a really excellent music book. The arrangements are beautiful and, while some of them are challenging to play, are well worth the time. The arrangement of Annie's Song is expecially very pretty. I definitely recommend it if you like John's music and some wonderful songs to learn.

Thomas Crum uses his martial arts expertise to offer helpful insights about those situations in which you find yourself in conflict with another person and feel like fighting or running away. He says: "Flow!" In other words remain centered, redirect their energy: deflect, step aside, don't respond in kind, don't try to block. This is a basic concept of Aikido and the "Aiki Way" which he has derived from it. You don't have to be a martial artist to gain from this book. By acknowledging the visceral connection we associate with conflict he gets you much further than many books based strictly on communication theory.

Conflicts can be disastrous or miraculous says Thomas Crum in the Magic Conflict, depending on how you react to them. If you feel threatened and try to defend yourself, you will lose even if you win. If you know you will lose, you probably will. If you hope to win and work hard at winning, you MAY just wear yourself out and fall into bitterness and decay. OR you MAY take a leap from the you OR me attitude to the you AND me attitude, says Crum. This is the magic of conflict. That we both care so much that we are willing to talk until we learn from each other. Understanding each other's concerns, we can see other possibilities, win-win solutions. Through the alchemy of conflict, we can turn the base metal of discouragement and divisiveness into the gold of understanding a new paradigm.

I think that this book is will good for guitar begeners

Excellent book for those who really want to know about the State of Colorado from a Naturalist's viewpoint. This has helped us really understand the unique qualities of this state we have grown to love.

If you are ready to turn your life into a work of art, this is the book for you. This book will help give you a new perspective on the term 'conflict.' It helps you understand that conflict is not a negative thing, it just is...and the sooner we learn what options we have to deal with conflict, the happier and fuller our lives can be.

I thought that this was a great book. I read it in a very short amount of time. I think that everyone who not only loved John's music, but also loved what he stood for will like this book. I know he was not a perfect man of course he made mistakes in his marriage and in life. The reason I read this book was that I had to write a report about a conflict in someone's life and I choose John Denver. GREAT BOOK 5 STARS!
