do not believe the movie
the howling 3 the movie is NOTHING whatsoever like the book. if fact, the only thing the movie and the book have in common is the title. the book starts off with a pack of werewolves in the town barn, and the pack leader, Derek, wants to reveal the town's secret to his 15 year old son, since Derek believes he is old enough now. well, a neighboring town comes along on the outside and burns the barn, leaveing a number of the town escaping, and Derek's son missing...and quite confused. i find this book extremely good, especially with brandner's descpritive overtone with the werewolf transformantions and the such. it's been an inspiring book for me personally

Maudlin
Alexander Kent (Douglas Reeman), a prolific writer, spends an entire novel in maudlin reminescence of a character's life to prepare us for that character's death. This last installment of Richard Bolitho's life deserved far better. Set around Napoleon's escape from Elba, the novel never really gives Sir Richard anything to do, except remember those he has known and act as though he is ready to die. The series, which already went about 8 books too long, is left to trickle off, instead of a spectacular finish and transition to Adam becoming the main character. I read all 23 of the set (though not the 24th, where Adam carries on) and I wish I'd stopped around 15 or so. Skip this one and continue on to Adam's first solo adventure.

Sword of Honor
I read this book in a U.K. print as it is not yet in the States and I found it to be one of the better efforts of Mr Kent ne Reeman. The historical events of Napoleon's escape from Elba and the battles that ensued give this book the drama and flaver that I have come to love in the previous 22 books in this line. I could not put it down, and read it straight through. I have over the years intoduced over 15 of my friends to the Bolitho saga, and the only bad thing about this book is the death of Admiral Sir Richard, but with the presence of Adam Bolitho, I feel that this saga can continue with no loss of interest for all of us whom have come to love all of the people that have been intorduced and been brought alive in the past 23 books. I only hope that Lady Sommerval is not left out of any forthcoming books.

If you want to speak Korean, learn Korean
This book has good intentions, but unfortunately falls very short. There are things about Korean pronunciation and grammar that romanization cannot convey. Although this book may be decent for a tourist who wants to be able to ask for basic things at a department store or restartaunt, it is completely inadequate, even as an introduction, for someone who wishes to truly speak Korean.

As someone who can speak, read, and write Korean, my advice to you is that if you want to speak Korean you should learn Hangul and Korean grammar. It is difficult at first, but once you do that you will find that you can learn and speak more effectively.

Horrible
Trying to use this book to actually communicate with Koreans is a painful process. All of the translated text is in Romanized format. The Romanizations are not standard either. At best, Korean pronunciation is difficult to express in English characters but the method used in this book guarantees that Koreans won't have any idea what you're trying to say. Futhermore, because the writers don't print anything in Hangul, you couldn't even show Koreans the book to get them to understand. Buy Barron's "Korean at a Glance" instead.

A very basic book that might not be enough to get by with...
It provides a list of several words that you would need if you were in a primarily Korean-speaking area, and provides a couple examples of sentences that you would use them in, both in Korean and in English, but it leaves several important phrases out that might end up becoming very useful. It probably would be sufficient for any quick trip where you wouldn't need much, though.
