I was a BIG skeptic! but I tried it anyway & LOVE IT!
ok , I was tired and frustrated when I bought this.. I wanted to lose weight and start exercising but had no motivation and it was raining here DAILY for a month!

I impulse bought this and regretted it 10 minutes later... but decided what's done is done...

When it arrived I listened to it the first night and promptly passed out in 10 minutes (I am an insomniac! so WOW!) -- I woke up at 6am (and NOT a morning person) and couldn't WAIT to listen again...

I had coffee by 6:30am and worked out to my new leslie sansone walking video by 7am

HOLY COW! I listen to it every day...

It's not a magic pill... there are none! but it BOOSTS your motivation and makes you feel good!

I also bought a subliminal tape for eating healthy (Slim something) AND THAT IS AWESOME To listen to while grocery shopping- you feel great and relaxed and buy HEALTHY FOOD!

Great audio tape!
This tape is wonderful. The first side has a message by the author followed by a self-hypnosis session. The guided imagery is very peaceful and soothing. The author's voice and the content are very reassuring and positive. I love this tape!

The second side has subliminal messages under relaxing music. I could listen to this music, any time, anywhere. I've fallen asleep to this tape a few times -- and it's amazing! I wake up wanting to exercise. So -- I guess that means it works?? :-)

Superb
Every recipe is easy to make, turns out great, and doesn't require exotic ingredients. I have made many recipes in this book and they are all excellent. In fact, this is a book I refer to often when planning my monthly menu.

I particularly like the ideas and little comments that accompany many of the recipes. They are uplifting and gentle, yet they don't distract from the recipes. Even the little drawings are nice. This is a nice book to read, if you are like me and enjoy reading recipe books.

If I had to have only ONE Gooseberry patch cookbook, this would be the one. It is that good.

Enjoy.

Brings back so many memories!
This cookbook has become my very favorite...my Grandma never wrote down any of her recipes for me, but this book includes recipes sent in from people around the country, who got their recipes from their mothers, grandmothers, great-grandmothers and even farther back! It brings so many memories of growing up and coming in from building snowmen with wet toes to a delicious, hot meal. Now I try to create that same feeling for my children, and this book is my main resource! A must-have!

Good systematic colection of life and death
This book contains Go life and death analysis from easier to more complex shapes. Of each shape the basic vital points are explained for both players. Special cases of each shape are presented as problems. Much of the problems are in form of 'what is status?', but also 'white to kill', 'black to live', 'white to make ko' kind of problems appear. Reading this book takes quite a time, but as result gives some stones in Go strength. I strongly recomend to have in addition some lighter (like: In the Begining) Go reading to relax with if cracking problems taxes too much.

It's Alive!!
One of the first mountains a beginning Go player has to climb is deciding when a group of pieces has a living shape and what do to get a group into shape. Until this is mastered one is playing 'accidental' Go. In other words, lacking a tactical target, issues of life and death are settled without a clear picture of the desired effect. Which is why early play at the Go board often feels like someone just pulled the rug out from under you.

No surprise then that there are many books on tactical play and analysis. James Davies' "Life and Death" is a very neat volume that organizes itself around shape and provides the basic proverbs that will help a player get a good start. Only experience will completely demystify life and death, but this book provides the kind of lessons that help a players bootstrap themselves up to a respectable game.

Each chapter is short and to the point, with several examples and a number of carefully thought out problems and status analyses. Since the focus of the book is not to test the player's IQ but to provide information in digestible pieces the material is easily accessible, which is not always the case with Go books. Lots of additional review problems are also provided.

The advantage to this entire series is not only the transparency of the lessons, but the author's careful adherence to a size and format that makes this a truly portable book. Go, especially in it's most minimalist form (a small magnetic set, for example) is every bit as backpack friendly as checkers and is much more fascinating. "Life and Death" is an excellent companion for the serendipitous traveler.

COURAGE
I HAVE JUST FINISHED READING THE NARRATIVE OF DAVID CROCKETT FOR AN AMERICAN HISTORY CLASS AND HAVE TO DO A SHORT THREE PAGE PAPER ON THE BOOK. I WAS HOPING TO GET SOME IDEAS ON THE INTERNET TO HELP OUT WITH THE PAPER, AND SAW THIS LINK. THE BOOK WAS GREAT, EASY READING, AND INTERESTING TO THE READER, MYSELF. HOPE YOU ALL ENJOYED IT AS WELL AS I DID!

David Crockett, a review
It is a great book, a real whopper. And I'll be skinned alive and burned by an injun if it aint one of the moost enthralling books I've read. Colonel Crockett didn't have the greatest spelling, or punctuation, but it was a great book. In the 1830's, Edgar Allan Poe wrote a review of the book, criticizing its grammar, but what he forgot to say was how it was exciting, and easy to read. At the time, it was the bestselling book in the nation.

Thirty-Eight Basic Joseki (Elementary Go Ser .: Vol 2)
Published in Paperback by Ishi Press (1973)

Amazon base price: $14.95

The Fundamentals
I found this a good introductory work to joseki. It did well in that it addressed the principles behind what was going on. As so many others, I would warn earlier beginners (20kyu or less) to wait before studying joseki. Then, when they do, they must STUDY joseki, not just memorize.
I would suppose my only two complaints are that the authors gave not enough attention to what one may do if the opponent steps away from best play. Also, like many strong players, there was no thought given to showing why a final position was balanced or may be good for black or for white. Still, a good book overall.

for somewhat advanced beginner, on opening play
Well written introduction to opening moves in the corners for players who have progresed beyond the earliest beginner stage. If you are beginning to have a little feeling for the game instead of feeling totally confused, this is a book for you. These opening sequences give an even result locally. The authors (a Japanese and an American professional) discuss how each opening sequence interacts with other areas of the board.

An entertaining yet cautious tale
Julian Payne is trying to make a new start in life. He and his 10-year-old daughter Samantha move from Chicago to Houston so he can begin a job as a big time radio talk show host. But one tiny thing happens before he moves that spills itself over into his new life: He makes the mistake of meeting Olivia Brown, beautiful on the outside, deranged on the inside. After one night of unforgettable sex, Olivia can't get Julian out of her mind; especially after he makes his intentions clear. He had fun, but now it's time to go on. She should accept and understand that, but even when there's a supposed understanding between a man and woman, things can still become murky and out of control.

God's Gift to Women is a fast, lightweight, and funny read that may remind some of The Maintenance Man. The action is swift, with a little bit of behind-the-scenes insight of urban talk radio in America. The most emotional part comes from the appearance of Samantha, Julian's spunky daughter who seems a lot older than her age. On the constructive side, the book has numerous typos which hopefully can be corrected when the book goes into a second printing. But more importantly, the book does show how frightening it can be for a man who is stalked, and how emotional women can become if they have a different understanding when it comes to their relationship with a man that they feel they love.

I enjoyed reading this
I just finished reading Gods Gift to Women by Michael Baisden. It is basically an African-American Fatal Attraction. The book is very predictable and has many spelling and grammatical errors. Michael Baisden is a rising star and he should make sure that another book of his NEVER again goes out to print with such sloppy editing. Having said that, I did enjoy the book very much. I read it in two days and it did scare me. I think that from beginning to end this book gives a very clear message. You really have to be careful of how you treat people when you are dating. I think that men need to remember that women are the daughter, sister or mother of someone. More care should be taken in how we are treated. We are human beings with emotion and deep feelings. Being a playa is not funny or cute and hurts many.

The character of Eddie was very arrogant and lower than a dog. He also had no respect for women or himself. I was still sorry for him though for what Olivia did to him. I also couldn't for the life of me understand why Denice stayed with him for 3 years.

It was interesting reading scenes of the sex act from a male point of view. I know that a lot of people found those scene descriptions erotic, but I didn't. Not in the least.
All in all I'm glad I bought this book and read it.

YOU THINK YOU KNOW?~.YOU DON'T KNOW!
THIS BOOK WAS AWESOME! From the moment I opened the book and read the prologue, I was hooked. If you enjoyed THE MAINTENANCE MAN you will love GOD'S GIFT TO WOMEN. I would call it Fatal Attraction to the 25th power. Expect the unexpected.

GGTW is a story every dating individual should read, before going on that blind date, or out with that person picked up at a club. What looks good to you may not be good for you.

In the book Julian Payne had to find that out the hard way. After having a one night stand with a beautiful woman (Olivia), that just happens to be a psycho, the night before he moves from Chicago to Houston. Julian leaves himself open for trouble, and at the same time unknowingly put those that he love, his daughter(Samantha) best friend(Eddie), and his new lady (Terri) in danger when Olivia follows him to Houston and makes his life a living hell.

This book was too good to put down. READ IT! You will not be disappointed. Michael, Thank you for a GREAT book!

Good Book For Java Developers
This is really a good book for Java Developers who wish to develop XML based applications. Couple of chapters have good examples and explains concepts in a very clear format. Also the book is upto date with all the latest concepts in XML world.

Great Resource
I have been working with XML for a while now, and this book offered a great coverage of most aspects of what XML application developers need to know. I am not able to keep up with everything happening in this very broad part of the industry - and this book provided enough coverage of the areas I'm not able to focus on on a regular basis to help me stay current. I'd recommend it for anyone who's working with specific areas within XML and want to stay current with the broader scope of what is going on. I'd also recommend it for anyone who is new to XML and wants to know the various Java APIs out there.

Good Book for Java Developers
This is surely one of the Best Books availale in Market for Java Developers. I have been waiting to read a Book which covers all the latest XML API and how use them using latest Java Tools. Thanks to Wrox Publications for bringing this book to us. It covers how to do XML programming using all the latest Java API line I/O Sockets, Developing Presentation Logic, Developing Configuration and Deployment logic, Using XML in B2B applications. In short no other book in Market provides such a clear understanding of how to develop Java Based XML Applications.

Also it clearly explains how to use the latest Java Based XML Parsers like Xerces, Xalan and more. Friends if you need to get upto date with all the latest Java Based Parsers and different XML API, then this Book is really the Best one.
