Great for struggling students, teachers, or homeschoolers
I learned about these disks while at Texas A&M University. They use these for the freshman there and have found them very helpful. There are a couple versions: one for Intro Chem (high school level) and one for General Chem (basic college level). The disks allow you to do problems over and over and they give feedback all along, letting you know what you did wrong and allow you to fix it. There are some animations, too, which helps with chemistry. Scores are saved and the highest score per section is retained. This is perhaps the BEST homework and tutorial disk I have ever seen for chemistry. It's not too flashy so it's easy to learn and do. I highly recommend.

Additioal information for customers
Cowboy Justice won Westerners International Co-Founders Best Book Award and to great critical acclaim.

"Cowboy Justice is a nonfiction masterpiece that shows us a lawman who enforced the law because the Rule of Law was sacred to him. There was no sense of personal gain or selfish career building, nor was there a sense of power for power's sake. Gober deserves a place beside Earp, Masterson, Garrett and others who gained fame for their law enforcement. And yet, he almost stands alone when it comes to greatness tempered with courage and humility." ---Michael Martin Murphey

Great Choice
As a long time visiter to the Owens Valley I found this book to be excellent. Its great for the first time traveler or the person who has been to the valley many times. Its section on side roads is good for those passing through the area and wanting to explore a bit. The history and geology areas are current and answer those questions that arise when encountering the vast numbers of different geological features. While no one guide does it all this book comes close. A great book for those who want a general guide to the valley, its history, geology, flora and fauna.

An amazing thriller !
This book is so good that I finished it in one sitting. There is not one wasted word and I was in for a thrilling ride once I started. The mystery is taut, intense and captivating, the entangled romance sensitive and touching. The hero, Kyle, with a weak heart, is immensely likable and well potrayed. It is a rarity that a character could stand up so well in short mystery novel but Kyle does. Kyle finally accepting the loss of his father and the revelation of a half brother he would never have a chance to acknowledge gives a touch of melancholy to the story. Definitely one of my favourites.

Yes! Yes! Yes! A brilliant story, well plotted and written
I found this book to be immensely well-written, with plausible characters (if implausible names), a plausible story-line, and thoroughly enjoyable. I'm a great fan of murder mysteries and this book is as good as the best of its type. It isn't a 'police procedural' however, like so many recent muder novels. It's more a delving into the minds of a very closed community, an examination of motives, desires, and personas.

It is, in fact, very "Agatha Christie".

Well worth reading.

Multi-textured intrigue
Colin Dunne cleverly blends a painting's subject with the story of some gay friends and the story of a missing artist (and his missing painting). The resulting tale always intrigues, with a focus on strong dialogue and character development. You don't have to be gay to enjoy this book. Nor do you have to like mystery novels. Just the characters and conflicts that start the novel would have kept my attention, but the added dimension of the murder and the painting made me read quickly to the surprising twists of the novel's closing chapters.

Correction
The synopsis is incorrect. This book has little to do with futures. It covers securities analysis, like the title says. Chapter titles are: The Individual Investor, Assessing Risk, Market Views, Reading Financial Statements, Types of Stocks and Their Valuation I & II, Fundamental Analysis, Technical Analysis. This book is a good overview and has enough meat to make it much more valuable than the nickel tour. The presentation is straightforward, if a bit dry; which only means it doesn't spend time on anecdotes, historical perspectives, humor, or persuading you to invest a particular way. This is expected, since it is "based on the popular classroom seminar conducted by the New York Institue of Finance".

Excellent for the personal investor!
This book is an intensive short course that summarizes most of the important aspects of personal investment. I learned a lot in a very short time. This is a must-read for the first-time investor.

Excellent summary of information for the personal investor.
Both novice and seasoned investor will benefit from this well-organized collection of information about personal investment.

Informative and Interesting
About 7 years ago, I purchased this book when it was originally published in a hardback version. I still can't put it down. I was very interested in Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., as far as its public service projects and positive examples of sisterhood. Now that I've been a member for 6 years, I always reflect back on the reasons why I joined the Sorority (with this book). Several of my relatives were actively involved during their collegiate (undergraduate) days, and I have continued my membership after graduating from college. Anyone who is interested in learning more about the goals and principles of the Delta Founders should get this book.

A DST Hopeful
I was always interested in becoming a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority. I bought the book about 3 years ago and never got past the first page. Clearly I was not aware of the total life change of becoming a member of this beloved sisterhood. I picked the book back up about a year ago and I couldn't put it down. I was in total amazement. The level of service that these strong women provide to our community is unparalleled. Thank you Ms. Giddings for writing such a powerful piece of history for those of us interested in DST sisterhood.

A Must Read!
I am not a member of this sorority but after reading this book I definately want to be a part of something so powerful as Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. "In Search of Sisterhood" is a very informative and well written book. It is a good book for ladies doing research and deciding on sororities or just good for a history lesson. Lots of history in this book about Delta and the movement that it was involved in. A definate must read!
