It was great, with a lot of twists in it.
I loved this book! I couldn't usely sit and read a book, then a few weeks later read it again and not get bored. But I did with this book. It has a lot of twists you wouldn't expect. It was great.

non stop scary thriller!!
Running Scared is a non stop scary, twisted thriller and more that you'll love to read! In fact It took me only three days to read this book which included 232 pages. Running Scared is one of those books you can't stop reading because right when you think its time for a little rest another wild thing happens. Donna saw something she wasn't supposed to see and something she wishes she hadn't seen. But Donna told the police and they promised to protect Donna and her mom. Now Donna and her mom live in a new home, have a new name, and a whole new identity so the killer won't go after them. But someone else knows what Donna saw and I'am not going to tell you because I want to see your jaws drop like mine did! Overall I'd rate this a five because Kate Daniels, author of Running Scared, does a really good job in capturing the readers attention. She also had a unique plot structure that fools every one.

I really like this book because was action packed.
I really liked this book because it opened my eyes to good reading. It was a great book with action packed and a good chase too. It had very good qualities such as good dialoge and a very good plot. This was a very excellent book and I am glad I got to read it.

Babysitter's Nightmare

"Someone is setting her up..."
Recently, 17-year-old Alice Fleming's hometown (Anslow, Colorado) has been the target of numerous, random burglaries--and soon Alice becomes the leading suspect when the victims are identified as baby-sitting clients of hers. Things become even worse for her, though, when Alice's baby-sitting replacement (Nancy Ettinger) is murdered during a break-in. Now, not only is Alice thought to be a thief and liar, but also a killer. Alice knows she's innocent, but what can she do to convince everyone else otherwise? And can she do it before the burglar decides to visit her next?

"Baby-sitter's Nightmare" was a pretty good young adult thriller, even though I thought some of the suspicion went a bit overboard. I mean, I can see how maybe her friends or the detective would doubt Alice, but her parents--that was slightly unbelievable. Most parents will defend their children, guilty of a crime or not. Anyway, if you liked this book, then don't miss the sequel: "Baby-sitter's Nightmare II", which follows another teen's baby-sitting terror. Recommended for girls age 12 and up.

It is the kind of book that you don't want to put down.
I believe that this book was very intreaging. I liked how the author kept you in suspense. It was like a Sunday night movie, Kate Daniel's made you feel like you were there in the same room. As I was reading it I could relate to each character as if I was going through it at the same time. To tell you the truth, I really hated reading until I read Babysitter's Nightmare. Thankfully it is also very easy to read. It is a very good book for teenagers like me.

Lovely Poems!
This is a stunningly beautiful and touching collection, full of heart.

A Masterwork of American Poetry
Kate Daniels has given our literature a book of poems that deserves to take its place with the finest poetic sequences of the century. She explores the points of union between a woman's body and her soul, and in so doing creates a powerful document of human yearning, vision, suffering, and dedication. This book deserves the widest possible readership.

"All baby-sitters must die."
Although "Baby-sitter's Nightmare Part II" is a sequel, the previous characters don't reappear in this story, nor is the setting the same. Instead, it takes place in Silverdale, New Mexico, where a killer has decided to target eight female baby-sitters as his/her victims. After several attempts on the 16-year-old protagonist's life (and the murder of her best friend, Amy Holland), Karin Conner begins to suspect the killer is someone she knows very well, possibly one of her close friends.

The killer's motive (which is given away completely in the synopsis on the back cover) is a tad bit silly, I thought, and the tagline ("All baby-sitters must die.") got a slight snicker out of me. But, thankfully, this book doesn't repeat the same storyline as the first, since a lot of other juvenile suspense series do this, with the main character and killer doing the same things over and over, when you would think both would have learned something by about the second or third book.

It's not necessary to read both books to understand either one, since "Baby-sitter's Nightmare" and this book have separate plots, but if you like young adult thrillers, then I'd recommend reading both, though I prefer the first book over this one.

Breathtaking
Muriel Rukeyeser is a wonderful poet, much neglected in the canon of 20th century poets. Her words are awe-inspiring and evoke so many feelings, it's hard to know what to do with them when they emerge. Read these poems out loud, dramatically. Hopefully you will be inspired to stand up straight and shout "Yes, Yes! That's exactly right!" much as I was. Reading her words is like giving my soul pen and paper and being able to read the things it would write.

A cool mix
This is collection of short stories that offers a wide mix of speculative genres. Fantasy, SF, horror, and just plain weird. The stories run the gambit and most are good. "Jeo Defined" and "Moon Warrior" were excellent stories and well worth purchasing the book. Even just the so-so stories were enjoyable and all the authors are names to keep a look out for. In the end, this is a book of up and coming writers and a few of them will no doubt be big names someday.

A Great Read
I didn't know what to expect from this collection of short stories but I was happily surprised. The stories cover a wide range from fantasy, science fiction, and horror to those hard to classify strange stories. Each one is worth reading. My favorites were the one about a radio personality who was singing the Siren's song and the one about a criminal who is forced to undergo "augmentation" to control him. Some wild stuff for a great read.

Sweet Dreams

This is a wonderful book for teenage souls to read.
This book is full of diffrent turns in the plot. It will catch you mind and whirl it into their imagination. This is a easy read and a great one too.

Sweet Dreams Are Made Of This
Janelle Scott has always been haunted by the fire that killed her parents and left her physically scarred six months ago. As a result, she starts sleepwalking again. Her aunt and uncle are concerned about her, worried that her midnight strolls might mean something more, maybe that Jan's a little "unstable".

Although Jan knows she's not crazy, she starts feeling like she is when a series of fires ruin her hometown, and the number one suspect is herself. After all, she had been found sleepwalking outside one burning building and had been seen trespassing at a another burned house. She's also been suffering from memory loss and blackouts. Could all of this mean she's really the one who's been setting fires in her neighborhood? Do the recent arsons have any link to her parent's death--and, if so, did she kill them? Is she capable of killing again?

Scared and confused, Jan sets out to find out what's really been happening to her at night and who's responsible for killing her parents if she's not the one who did it.

"Sweet Dreams" is a great young adult thriller for girls. Some parts are a little predictable, but it's still pretty exciting.

If you like scary stories about sleep disturbances, you might also like "Dream Date" by Sinclair Smith (nightmares).

A tired, dated analysis...
Balhorn's explicit exploration of the intricacies of the (mainly American) modelling world seem perfect for the brash mid 1980's surge in modelling interest and public obsession, yet seems almost comically isolated in today's understated chic that the industry is based upon.

By Far the best Modeling Book out there
This book will tell you everything! I owned it for years and it gives you great tips on Modeling as well as how to represent yourself In Modeling. I Highly Recommend it.

Don't waste thousands of dollars on classes!
If you are interested in modeling, & have considered paying a school for classes ... DON'T! This book will teach you the things you need to know for far less than the schools would charge you. The book may sound expensive, but not when you compare it to the $2000 + the schools want to charge you. You will learn how to pose, how to walk, how to apply your make-up & do your hair (you may think you know that already, but in modeling there is so much more to it), it will basicly give you all the things you need to know to get started in modeling. I just cant say enough about how wonderful I feel this book is!

Not worth a single star
This book is a very rough step-by-step on how to draw a flashlight. The gaps in the instruction are so large as to make it unusable by anyone who actually needs the instruction. Lessons given are mostly lifted directly from those supplied with the software, with no mention of how to actually use Solidworks as a design tool. The grammar in this book is what one would expect from a public-school-eductated third-grader, which makes it very difficult to follow.
In brief, this book is not worth the paper wasted to ship it.

A must have book!..
I have purchased and struggled with a number of SolidWorks books. Both directly from SolidWords and from 3rd party publications. I find myself lost in their layout, presentation and frustrated in wanting additional information with most books.

I purchased SolidWOrks 2001Plus by Planchard & Planchard. This is a good book. I cannot say enough to encourage those of you wanting to learn SolidWorks in a step by step approach with real outcomes and information from real companies. Planchard & Planchard are users and teachers. The book is very clear and easy to follow.

Great book for students and Instructors
I have purchased two other books for these authors. The authors are well known and their books are great! The last reviewer stated, "Lessons given are mostly lifted directly from those supplied with the software, with no mention of how to actually use Solidworks as a design tool." Does he know how to read? The book provides an excellent step - by - step instruction. He also states, "The grammar in this book is what one would expect from a public-school-eductated third-grader". First, he did not spell eductated correctly," educated". Does this say something about the reviewer? Second, what is wrong with public education? The book is great and I would, and have recommended the book to my colleagues at local universities and companies.
