Part one contains discussion on Theory of Knowledge; on sources and scope of Knowledge. The author critically examines the different philosophical doctrines including the ancient, rational, empirical, and marxist ones, and presents the Islamic philosophical doctrine on Knowledge that as I understood can be characterized as rational but is different from other rational doctrines (for example, from that of Descartes'). The author in part two moves on to expound the realist world view advanced by Islamic philosophers and contrasts it with others including the idealist, empiricist, relativists, and marxist ones.
Baqir Sadr, surely a great Islamic scholar of this century, intended this book as first of a series that remained incomplete due to his sad martyrdom by the ruthless ruler of Iraq, Saddam Hussein. The second of this series is "Our Economy", another original work this time on Islamic economy. Much information on Sadr's biography, his struggle, and his publications is available on net.

The momentum hardly flags and spuns the reader to read on- a great story told in an innovative novel-like fashion. Will appeal massively to many newcomers and to those who prefers a simple yet accurate biopic of the prophet all muslims loved dearly.
Since The Message (starring Anthony McQueen) is decades-old, I would strongly recommend to film-makers to prop up and read this book and construct an epic motion picture of Muhammad. This book is an ideal companion to their film-efforts.
Comments, anyone?
Emerick catches the essence of the Prophet's (mpbh) time and makes it seem like he actually knew him. This is definately a must read! It is a very good book to have in one's collection and especially if you want the correct story about the Prophet's (mpbh) life and how Islam came to be!

I strongly recommend this book and believe that it will contribute to understand the daily life and attitudes of the Man who inspired the light of tolerance to million people around the world.
Especially, you can clearly see the Prophet Muhammed as a husband and father, and at the same time as a leader and manager of His society.
I am sure you will learn a lot by reading this book!

I appreciate his look at the transformational leadership that Muslim Americans experienced from 1975 to the present. His assessment of the decentralization that took place helped me understand more of what I experienced as a second generation Muslim who grew up in the Nation of Islam and later Orthodox Islam.
I also believe Prophet Mohammed's (SAW) model for business and strategic planning was well documented. I use this book as one of my main business guides as I work through organizational change at work, in the masjid, and the community at large.
someone already in business. The book discusses Business from an Islamic perspective, however it uses principles that can be applied by anyone. It directly addresses the need to keep our Creator first and foremost, but not to forget that we must make
a living, we must do Business. Imam Mohammad addresses the need to understand yourself in order to do Business.Whether a student or in Corporate America this book, if applied will help improve your life. My only complaint is the binding could be better but I would give that up anyday for the kowledge on the pages...

Ted Wallace, the main character, is a sixty-six year old 'unregenerate snob' with a penchant for 'a drop of the hard stuff'. Maybe this is how the author sees himself in years to come. If so, Stephen Fry will be just as amusing in his latter years as he has been to date.
You should buy this book at the first opportunity. You will not regret it.
In short, this is a dirty, smutty book chock full of outrageous social faux pas, cynicism, sacrilege, irreverence, vulgarity and crudeness . . . and I enjoyed it very much. It's extremely well written, extremely frank in its discussion of human sexuality and the evils of opulent interior design, and above all extremely British.
So, if you're after the genteel machinations of the upper class twits of yesteryear, stick with the source and pull out that trusty old copy of Jeeves and Wooster. If, on the other hand, you're after a healthy dose of modern English outrageousness, this would be a good bet. Pour yourself a glass of whisky and get ready to read the juicy bits to whoever's close by, because you'll be hearing a lot of, "What? What was it this time?" from them. Oh, yes, it's also good for the complexion. I read it on my last visit to the seaside and couldn't stop reading long enough to get into my swimwear. The sun never touched my pearly white skin. Saved a bundle on sunscreen, too.

This was enjoyable and easy to read. It started with his childhood, then moved on to his career, and finished with his retirement. The book is very well organized as it follows a timeline of his life. The way which the author describes Ali's rise to the top, is the strongest part of the book. The descriptions were clear and easy to relate to. The author talked more about Ali's success and not enough about the struggles that got him to the top.
I gave this book five stars because it is informative and entertaining. I would recommend it to others because it gave a thorough overview of who Ali really is. I believe that the message the author is trying to send is that if you work hard you can accomplish your goals. It is in my opinion that this is an important message to give to readers. I believe that the author was successful in getting his message across to the readers.
