A Must-Read for Any Business Leader
Though pitched primarily to business leaders, anyone interested in the changing workplace will relate to this book. The authors do an excellent job of presenting their case: it's tough to find good employees who will stick around. Family, the economy, society, and technology have caused workers to re-examine their lives, and they're the ones now with the power.

So how do employers keep good employees? Learn about and listen to what employees want, and create a great place to work. The book outlines six expectations employees have: balance and synergy, work as a noble cause, personal growth and development, partnership, community at work, and trust. The major theme, though, is values: workers want a workplace they can believe in.

The authors present examples of companies across North America currently meeting (and often surpassing) their employees' expectations, to superb retention results. Quizzes at the end of each chapter help business leaders put what they've learned into action, and profiles of company leaders bring a human element in. CEOs, ignore this book at your peril: this is the future of work.

An Essential Book for the Leaders Library
I had eagerly anticipated this book after having read John Izzo's first book, "Awakening Corporate Soul" co-authored with Eric Klein.

Many books on changing values and cultures often provide the reader with mostly theory, jargon and academic research. This book bridges the gap between theory and practice in a user friendly manner. The book is full of examples of companies and individuals making a difference in their workplace and relating this to the changing values of the workforce. It is an easy, captivating read.

This book has helped me understand the workforce in our organization better and in doing so has helped me to be a more responsive leader. However, this book needs to be shared with others in your organization. Every manager would do themselves well to have this book in their library.

Almost two books in one
While this may be the only book out there for submissive women by a submissive woman, it isn't the best book for submissives. There are two books here really. The first looks at SM as a romantic experience where the focus is on the sexuality, especially of the woman. There is a lot of advice on what a woman can do to get herself into the mood and determine what works for her; not much advice on actually serving another person. The other book is scattered about and looks at SM as a means for heightened states of consciousness but without a lot of practical advice. Overall for men and women who see submission as an sexual exploration, it is a pretty good book. For anyone looking for advice on how to be submissive however, this book does not really address issues of service you may be looking for. The book is fairly different from her guide for dominant women but both books really focus on the needs and desires of the bottom partner and not on service.

Life Changing
I can't tell you how this book has changed my life. After years of harming myself - cutting my arms with razors and other self mutilations, I have been able to stop. How? Merely by putting myself in the hands of someone else who knows how to bring my body and soul to the brink and take me back safely. Someone who gives discipline to all aspects of my life.

Sensual Submission for Women by a Woman
After having read, and loved, Claudia's first book, "The Art of Sensual Female Dominance," I couldn't wait to read "Erotic Surrender." And it was well worth the wait. Claudia is a woman who writes specifically for women and she speaks to them from the depths of her s/m heart. This wonderful book is not for men, or for those who are already at ease with their submissive sides; rather it is clearly written for the vanilla woman who is seeking a better understanding her submissive desires.
"Erotic Surrender" fully succeeds in that goal. Claudia's writings left no doubt in my mind that she lived these experiences and loved them. I found her willingness to share the most intimate details of her submissive relationship with her British master to be truly remarkable; she exposed her soul to us in a way many others would not have the courage or insight to do. I especially loved the story entitled "Bride of the God", in "Masochism," chapter nine.
This book receives my highest recommendation.
