Concise, very informative!
While I've always been a fan of Sehlinger's Unofficial Guide, I thought this Spring update was excellent, and extremely up-to-date. While the other WDW guidebooks were still listing attractions like Mr. Toad, closed since 9/98, Fodor's actually reviewed its Pooh replacement. If you want the most current WDW info, along with touring guides, interesting trivia, and reviews of Universal and other Orlando-area attractions, this is the one to buy.

A Great Guide!
Tokyo is the most amazing place to visit, and this guide listed so many places to visit without consuming the whole day. The guide suggests 'Daily Itineries" as well as short bits of info. This is the ideal guide for travel! My husband tells everyone that I saw more of Tokyo in 2 week than he did in 2 months while working there. Short and to the point.

Very useful
This guide has helped us tremendously before and during several trips to Provence. It is easy to read, comprehensive in its description of the sights, and reasonably calibrated in its ratings (allowing you to distinguish between "must sees" and other sights). Its city maps are very good; I found them better than the ones in the Michelin guide, which is also good. The only drawback of this guide is that it is a pretty heavy paperback, so carrying it with you all day gets old after a while. Great for trip planning, though. Certainly highly recommended.
Excellent guide
We just spent 10 days in Provence with three other couples. Each brought our own guidebook but we quickly ditched 3 of them and used the Fodor's. The site descriptions were dead on and their rating system was very helpful in deciding what to see in the limited time available. Their maps and suggested drives were also useful. We didn't use the hotel and restaurant recommendations much (we cooked our own), but when we did they were perfect.

Author, pu-leeeeeze!
I understand this is historical FICTION, but basing a plot on Elizabeth I's interest in making Britain first in healthcare is preposterous. One would hope that this author's next book in the series is more fiction and less fantasy!
Fascinating reading
This is the fourth book written by Karen Harper that features Queen Elizabeth the First as the main character. So it is a little far-fetched to think that Queen Bess might be a crime-solving sleuth, but who is to say she wasn't? She was a brilliant ruler, with many interests, so it isn't so far-out that she would want to help solve perplexing mysteries of her day, especially when the mystery involves herself or one of her close subjects.
I find these novels fascinating. They are well-researched,and presented in a lively, intriguing manner.
I look foward to the next installment of this series.

Don't Miss This Book
This book is one the best mystery books I have ever read... Karen Harper has managed extremely successfully to blend the historical setting of the Elizabethean era with a well thought and written plot. The imagination combined with her obviously well founded knowledge of the history results in a breathtaking story... Those not familiar with the imminent profiles of the period may find the book difficult to grasp, however, for those who are interested in this spesific era, this is definitely not a book to miss....Congradulations to Karen Harper...

Excellent
The book was very informative. Lots of helpful information.
Very clear. I haven't been to WDW yet (we are going May, 1997) so I'm not sure how accurate it is. It has really helped up plan our trip.
When will it be updated? There have been many changes since it was written and I think it would be very helpful especially since this is a key year with the anniversary of WDW. The book would really be in demand. Also the great coupons in the back of the book have all expired. Which is terrible since I couldn't use any.
I'm hoping you are in the process of updating the book.
Thanks

Don't be fooled by its title!
I own every guide to WDW in print. Rita Aero's Walt Disney World for Adults is, by far, the most informative, accurate guide to WDW. I am mildy disappointed that the title implies that it is only for adults without children. Had I not ignored the title and bought it anyway, I would have been stuck with the less useful content of the other guides.
With all the great hotel and restaurant reviews and money saving tips, this book pays for itself many times over.
Fantastic!!
I used this book on my Honeymoon in June 1996. The coupons allowed us to have two fabulous meals we otherwise could not have afforded on our budget. I found all of the information on what rides adults would enjoy to be very accurate

Great book to research your trip to Venice
This book was a pure pleasure to read as I planned my trip to Venice. There were so many gorgeous photographs that brought the city to life, and it's chock-full of juicy, fun historical tidbits to spark your interest in Venice beyond its beautiful exterior. It's also a little more in-depth than many other books in explaining the art and architecture of the city, making for a more rewarding trip. I loved this book, thinking of it as my own private tour guide, but it's less useful for choosing hotels and restaurants (you don't feel like you're getting a candid review). This guidebook is wonderful for soaking up a real feeling for Venice (and whetting your appetite for your upcoming vacation), but I wouldn't pack it with me on the trip - it's not a "quick and dirty" sort of reference.
Great content, good value, but a load to carry.
A handsome alternative to Knopf's Venice as an all-around city guide, though the binding isn't as sturdy and it lacks the beautiful illustrations of its rival. Jammed with photos, maps, historical sidebars, lively quotations, and practical travel advice. Includes short chapters on Padova, Verona, and Vicenza. - Durant Imboden, Venice for Visitors, http://govenice.miningco.co

Beautiful
My boyfriend bought an earlier copy of this book when I was going to visit him in Germany. He looked through many different guidebooks, and, as a native, found this one to be the most accurate and visually interesting. I selected places to visit before going and was very pleased and well informed by reading this guide. It is an excellent sourcebook for any traveler to Germany. I've bought one for my parents who will visit this summer!

NOT SO IMPRESSED
My husband and I recently took a trip to Brussels, for the first time. We "thought" this book would be a great guide for us in a foreign country... but instead found ourselves getting lost. The map is huge, you'll need to find a coffee shop to actually sit and open the darn thing, and the sites aren't addressed clearly. A bit of advice, there are huge maps on the corners of most major streets that tell where you are and how to get to a site; use the undergrounds, much cheaper and easier to get around; and ask your hotel conceirge for directions, they know everything...oh, and make sure you brush up on your French, some village sandwich shops aren't as nice as your regular star bucks :)
A Great Day Trip
I bought this guide for a day trip into Brussels, during a recent European vacation. I found the guide to be extremely helpful in planning my one day visit. It focuses on the "Top Sites" to be visited in each city, and has plenty of interesting historical information, as well as practical information on hours of operation, and local transport. The shopping recommendations offered by the guide are also excellent. The only disappointing item about this guide was the one map, which is on very thin paper, and which was quite unwieldy. A better choice would be smaller maps scattered throughout the book. While I recommend this book for a day trip, it would not be suitable for a longer stay. I look forward to using this guide again when I visit Bruges in the future.

Fodor's Singapore: Most Current Source for Singapore Travel
This tour book was the most current I could find for preparing for my trip to Singapore last summer. I was especially happy that it was Fodor's that had printed this, as I found the Fodor's London Guide to be the handiest, lightest, and most helpful book in London. However, I found several things lacking, such as a listing of church service times, and also the little walking tours did not hold my interest or my boyfriend's. On the other hand, admission costs were extremely helpful, although the guide did not list places to purchase sightseeing packages. Overall, use the book for it's info on attractions, but don't limit yourself to the restaurants listed, and planning your own foot tours will be the most interesting.
