This book is astonishing! It is a simple masterpiece. The author has given an amazing account of different types of psychopaths in the short, but oh so sweet, book.
Guggenbuhl-Craig should write more books. His style is amazing- it is easy to comprehend and extremely intelligent.
I applaud this book and its author. This is one of the best books on the subject I have ever read. Should get 10 Stars!!!

This is a good start! I hope they get together for part two! Mr. Hillman I enjoyed this tape verymuch! But It stoped in the middle of a thought. One tape is not enough!

Five tapes would just scratch the surfice.

I run a website about this disorder, so anything on psychopathy is always of interest to me.

I would recommend that before reading this book, however, the novice should start off with Dr. Robert Hare's book "Without Conscience..." and go on from there.

Guggenbuhl-Craig's book is marvelous. A small gem (and a great price for such illustrious thoughts) of a book, and easy to read and digest.

He speaks not only of the psychopath, his traits, and so forth, but explains to us the deeper mysterious of the psychopath's behaviours and thought processes.

I thouroughly recommend this book to anyone who is interested in psychopathy, psychology, or just wants to learn more about this very much ignored disorder (every three out of ten men are estimated to have psychopathic personality disorder).

A Cabinet Maker's Notebook! It is the book that shook me awake to the possibility that woodworking can be a means of clear expression and personal growth. My own copy is not from this edition, but was printed in 1976. It was given me by friends that knew my interest in woodworking and wanted to make sure that I got off to the right start.

Krenov is the most influential of American woodworkers. No woodworker's library is complete without this classic.

First published in 1975, The Cabinetmaker's Notebook is a modern classic for those who wish to persue cabinetmaking as a mode of sensitive self-expresion. That may seem like a mouthful, but you either build cabinets because you need to store things, or for some less practical reason. As Red Green says "If your wife doesn't find you handsome, she should at least find you handy". That is one reason beyond the practical, A kind of I want to impress people stage. But when you get beyond that; the house is full of furniture, and your wife actually wishes you would come in from the shop once in a while, what keeps you out there? If it is a desire to do your best work, with the best tools and wood you can find then this book may be for you.

Why do I call it the most influencial book of its kind? Well partly because it influenced me, but it also struck a cord when it first came out in the seventies and the woodworking revival was underway. It is pretty much as valid today as then. Krenov, who grew up in the U.S., wrote these books while living in Sweden. They proved so popular that a school was created stateside at which he still teaches. Krenov's insights are of some use to people who persue other crafts.

The most likely volumes to share shelf space with this and other Krenov books are; George Nakashia The Soul of a Tree (worth it for the pictures alone) and Sam Maloof Woodworker (ditto)

The heart of this book is a readiness framework that blends assessment, strategy and tactics and project planning. The focus is on business and customer value.

I like the way the book starts, with a look at the big picture, defining your goals, and complete look at all stakeholders. The beginning also introduces e-business models, the readiness framework itself and a quick sanity check to test your readiness.

This is followed by a more detailed look at the "eBiz Readiness! Framework" and its major parts: stakeholders, components and enablers. Also addressed are knowledge management, trust and technology, all of which are interwoven into the fabric of e-business. I especially liked the framework metrics, which include benchmarking, customer and business metrics, and how to manage the metrics as indicators.

What makes this book practical is the map given to applying the framework for implementation of e-business processes and systems, and once implemented, how to effectively manage using an evaluation framework. The evaluation framework covers both small- and big-business perspectives in the form of stakeholder assessments. Also addressed in detail are trust services (perhaps the cornerstone of e-business), security, and related issues.

Another aspect of this book that I liked very much is the coverage of the e-business stakeholder model and governance, which spans topics such as globalization, socioeconomics and your defined market. This sets the book apart from those that seem to focus on technology without a regard for the bigger picture.

This book is an invaluable resource to both business planers and IT because it balances the business and technical issues, both of which are addressed, in assessing e-business readiness.

Finally, someone has started to 'de-mystify' what e-business is! The foundational material yields a discerning insight into the concrete necessities of e-business whether large or small. The stakeholder model details what components are needed and exactly how the elements of e-business fit together, and also what you need to be successful - the book gives you proven, effective yardsticks to measure where your business is and where your business is going! An excellent read! I highly recommend it. Jutla and Craig are groundbreakers!

There are many books on typography and design. This is one of the better, if not the best, that I have read. It is readable as well as informative and comprehensive. Each topic is presented on a two-page spread with visual examples. A good book for the beginner and a good reference for those with more experience who are looking for a competent addition to their library.

I have listened to this tape many times while traveling on long trips. It is soothing and stimulates prayer. The combination of songs are thoughtfully arranged and very well performed. I recommend it highly for meditation or as background to drown out the daily noise. I wish it was in CD format also.

I think this is a wonderful book. It kept me spellbound for hours.

This book is a must read for anyone interested in how light can affect space as well as human sensorial experiences. Turrel is a magnificent light artist whose works defy rational conceptions of how space can be represented. The works of art explained in this compilation test our ability to use our senses in a non-Cartesian thought process.

For the pure baseball fan, this book is a must have. It tells short stories about players who used their heads to create new strategies, and it explains how some of the rules today were made. Besides laughing your head off, you really learn a lot about the great game of baseball.

A new 8th edition has been published. But this is definately the Bible of Respiratory Care.

This is the "Bible of Respiratory Therapy" as once said by my professor. It's a great learning tool that should be used at all colleges offering the respiratory program. I'll always keep this book around no matter what.

The Egan's manual for respiratory therapy is the most benificial learning tool and reference manual that I have come across in all of my career. The information in this book is not only easy to understand but layed out in a manner that makes finding what you need an easy task. It gives a thorough review of all the important clinical data and physical characteristics needed to become a competent practitioner. The information in this book is explained in a very simple form which makes it easy to understand and retain the material that is covered. I would recommend this book as a refence tool to any student pursuing a career as a nurse, respiratory therapist, or physician. While this book may apply specific emphasis to the respiratory related field, it will reinforce your nursing or medicinal background by examining disease processes from a cardiopulmonary standpoint. This book has been a valuable learning tool and greatly aided me in both respiratory and nursing related classes and God willing as medical student. This isn't like the Disney movie! I loved this book but at the same time I was shocked by the violence of the fighting between Hook and the Lost Boys and the Indians. I don't think I'll be reading this one to my nephews and neices, not until I have edited out the violent bits. It wasn't that In-Your-Face violence of the Hollywood movies, it was more insinuated and there was definetly a menacing atmosphere surrounding Wendy's, Peter's and Michael's adventures in Never Never Land. I do recommend it though, just not for easily frightened youngsters. This is definetly in need of a PG rating on the cover. PARENTS: This is no Disney Peter Pan!

Driving with young children in the car quickly convinced me that it was unsafe to not give them something to listen to. After ten years I have collected a large (30+) bag of books-on-tape. I have also loaned them to others and asked for opinions. Peter Pan (read by Wendy Craig) is not only my favorite, but also the favorite of my wife and most of my friends. It is excellent for all ages (4 to 80) and even most hardened teenagers. Humour, presentation, ... a prefect 10.

The book 'Peter Pan' by J. M. Barrie is a truly beautiful work. It is never too cloyingly sweet or too harsh, and the child's perspective of the world is beautifully crafted. It does, however, bring you along on a journey to the Neverlands, and perhaps for a little while we can be reunited with our dreams.

Although Wendy seems a little prim, she is sweet and motherly. John was offhand and brave, Michael was tiny and believing. My favourite character was, however, Peter. The author really outdid himself on this one. Peter's innocent cockiness and love for dangerous adventures endeared him to me at once. He still has all his first teeth, and his first laugh - what more could we ask of him? His frightful happiness in danger reminds me of my seven-year-old self.

The book retains a magical quality right up to the last page. The midnight scene where Peter coaxes them out of the window has always stood out in my mind; there is a kind of magic in an ever-young boy, small and innocently cocky and always up to some mischief. The ending of the book is very sad, for only those who are gay and young and light-hearted can fly.

Definitely a book worth reading. Adults, trust me on this one: you might think you're too old to read this book, but once you do you'll find that a piece of Neverland still resides in your heart.
