In this collection the acuity of detail and the quirky eye for every tiny thing that makes a world unique are so finely tuned, so perfectly honed, that every page is a collection of intricate and beautifully rendered images. I love this book. I read "Midnight" over and over just to be in the world of it, and to marvel at its construction. If you read this book and love it and want more, read Licorice next. She's just as good in this novel as she is in the collection. A quietly stunning writer, no fanfare, no hype, just a solid body of excellent work.

Abby Frucht takes ordinary experiences and turns them into unique "moments" in which you catch yourself feeling as though you are a voyeur into someone else's everday life. Intense and thought-provoking, this book made me want to pick up a pen and start writing.

I suspect that the number of us who have cited Brodmann's 1909 work far exceeds the number who have actually ever laid eyes on the original paper in German, let alone have read it!

Now this situation can be remedied by having this excellent English translation of the 1909 original. It is well edited and good attention is paid to reproduction of the original figures.

If you've seen the VH1 Behind The Music specials on FLeetwood Mac and Stevie Nicks there's NOTHING NEW to learn here. The writer took quotes from the VH1 specials and articles she found on the Fleetwood Mac Penguin website and wrote a book making up stories to surround these out of context quotes. Its sad that this "author" didn't make any attempt to do ANY research, talk to ANYONE or do ANYTHING other than view 2 hours of tv shows and read a few dozen old articles.

If you are a great Fleetwood Mac fan like myself, than you probably have heard or read every article or story in this book . Basically it is a compilation of old articles, and if you think that a book published in 2000 should in some way shed light on the relationships of band members since 97', or perhaps tell us about Lindsey's marriage-please get us an advance and we will get to writing a book that achieves that! lol I'm just kidding, but it would be nice if there was a book written that had some inside sources, so that new stories can be relayed that give us a glimpse into who these people have evolved into now. It's just a thought, and I know that one day when Stevie writes her memoirs we may get what we have been waiting for all along!

In my opinion the book deserves a credit for very detailed research and great narrative of a very complicated relationship among the band members and being an unauthorized, it's just makes it harder for the writer. But great job, I really enjoyed it
