I raise cows for a living, and this book was one that i felt would be very good for any child to learn about how cows grow, how they are cared for, and the ways that we use cows in the dairy farming industry. I really felt that this was an exceptional book for the field, and i think that any child with an interest in dairy farming would agree.

This book has wonderful life-like pictures of calfs and cows walking, eating and sleeping. The cow ranges from birth to two years old. It is an excellent book for children like mine who are facinated with barn anminals, especially cows!

I work for a teachers association. It seems that our new teachers aren't taught a lot about things like discipline or classroom organization in college. For those who think they might need a little extra help getting their classroom organized, I think that this book would make for a nice supplement.

The book details many helpful things:

1. Organizing your classroom based on the age of your students.

2. How to arrange desks, furniture, etc.

3. Making every bit of space in your classroom count.

4. Decorating, creating classroom displays, etc.

... and more.

The book is helpful without being condesending, and it has plenty of examples, tips and ideas. If you are not exactly the most organized teacher in the world, you might want to invest some time in this book.

This is truely a unique book. Surely Martha Stewart must have been channelling the spirit of Granny Clampett to produce these unusual delicacies. Had detailed recipes been included a full 5 stars would have been earned.

We've all seen examples of fine food photography in recipe books, magazine articles and advertisements. Here is a book done by a couple of the experts in the field who poke fun at both themselves and at the rest of us who have come to expect photos of food to be mouth-watering and appealing on a very basic level. But wait until you see the mouse-kabobs with your own eyes! The images make you gape in bemused shock at these exquisitely-photographed "food" items -- that is until you notice that some of them resemble road kill! A wonderful parody on how we look at things in the modern world.
