I thought that this book was crazy good. I'm a huge fan of poetry and love books that incorparate (sp?) it into their stories. Besides the story were awesome illustrations to add to the story.

Not since Sandra Cisneros's House on Mango Street have I admired a book of such poetic power as girl coming in for a landing. Unlike Cisneros though, April Halprin Wayland chooses to use poetry as a form rather than poetic short stories to forward her character's travails about the year in the life of a teenage girl. The setting for the book is in and around Los Angeles where the author discusses kissing games, falling in love, the humiliations that is adolescence, and (of course) triumphing in the end. Any time poetry zings across my desk that is so lyrical, fun, beautifully illustrated (by Elaine Clayton) and enchanting as girl coming in for a landing, the I have to let you know about it.

In so few words, Wayland pegs the feelings and experiences of a teenage girl experiencing a crush, heartbreak, success, deflation, and more. It's inspiring and beautiful writing with fascinating illustrations. This is the kind of diary I wish I'd kept. It's the kind of diary I hope my niece (who's getting this as a gift) will keep.

This book is about Jack. The author,Elvira Woodruff,has read the book and admiring the book. This book i great. If you lke mystery books you will like this book. I like this book because it gives you the picture that you can see it in your head. Jack is sleeping in his bed when a ghostly figure was at the end of his bed! Jack found out that he was livivg but the ghost was not.The ghost name was Nathaniel Witherspoon than it said "you're the exactly the kind of boy I need" Jake woke up he found himself in a 150 secret of a ship wreck that clamed many lives including young Nataniel Witherspoons.

I am in fourth grade and I got the Ghost of Lizard Light out from my library. I wondered how scary it would be. It was just scary enough to make me want to keep reading, but not so scary that I had nightmares. The ghost is really good and I liked that he haunted the lighthouse. I also liked Ned the lizard. I would reccomend this book to any kids who love a good ghost story. I'm going to try the author's mummy book next. Jon in Bridgewater, N.J.

The Ghost of Lizard light is about little ghosts. I really like this story becaouse it is funny and sad becaouse the half grown up kide uses his own brother you probly wont late your kids read tis book. But you should ander stand that it is trying totell your kids not to play with stuff laying on the on the ground and not to pick up green glowing things. And to listen to you so I would recommend that you give this book five stars because it is so great and theirs know dout about it. So please give it five stars.

This book is about four stupids cupids shooting people to make them fall in love.It is realy funny.They shot a dart at a principal and made the principal fall in love with a cat. The four stupid cupids want people to fall in love with the write people.But they do some stupid things, one of the cupids shot a tiny little pencil at a childes finger and it started to bleed a little!But after that they make the people fall inlove with the right people I cant tell you any more about this book because it wont be as exciting. I give this book 10 out of 10 and I recommend this book to ages 8 and up. The author of this book is Gregory Maguire.

This is a cute, humorous book but parents BEWARE! This book is NOT for Santa believers.

This book is one of the best books I have ever read. It kept me interested through the entire book. I couldn't put it down! I recommend this book for anybody who likes an amusing story and plot and a book that is wild with adventure every second of the story!

Three Rotten Eggs by Gregory Maguire was a great book. This was very strange but interesting. A boy named Thud moves to Hamlet, Vermont, just in time for the annual spring egg hunt. The girls and boys have clubs and each club wants Thud to join so they have the most people in their group. At the egg hunt the teams have a competition of who gets the most eggs, but when three rotten eggs start to hatch the kids have to find a way keep them alive. Will the two clubs work together or try to save them on their own? To find out read this book.

Kids seeking light humor and fun will find this a whimsical story of a different kind of newcomer to class: one Thud Tweed and three genetically altered eggs. Add drama and a cover-up of intent and you have a lively story with many unpredictable twists and turns.

Six Haunted Hairdos is the sequel to Seven Spiders Spinning. It is about to rival clubs, The Copycats (boys) and The Tatletails (girls). In this book the members of The Copycats believe in ghosts and state so in class. The Tatletails decide to play a joke on The Copycat's "silly" belief and give The Copycats their idea on girls thrown at them. This joke turns out to be less fake then they thought, as The Tatletails and The Copycats meet real ghosts and have to unite the ghosts, and set aside their club differences, before it's too late and Hamlet, their town, becomes filled with ghosts. This book is exciting and portrays some very interesting veiws on the rivalrey between boys and girls.
