This book is a great reference for a nice meal for friends and family. It is easy to follow and has delicious reciepes. You can make a simple casual meal look and taste gourmet by using this cookbook. I am buying this for my brothers wife who loves to cook but does not have a lot of time to prepare meals. I give it 4 1/2 stars!

This book is great for most divorced couples with children. It helps you examine the motivations for the decisions you make about your child(ren) without basing those decisons on irrational emotions.

However, I would not have ordered this book if I were privy to its scope beforehand because it admittedly offers little help for those dealing with abusive or deadbeat ex-spouses.

The book was loaded with great ways to open a line of communicatoin with your ex and had several methods for solving problems and helping your child to cope with divorce. Many tips on single parenting and carrying on a parenting relationship after the marital relationship has ceased! Highly recommended reading for both "Jerks!"

This book from cover to cover offered useful advice on how to deal in a civil manner with your ex and put your child's needs first. I have sent a copy to my one sister in Jersey and now planning to send a copy to my sister in Pennsylvania. Don't be fooled by the title. . .This is an incredible book that helps you communicate effectively and be in control of yourself and your situation.

I was terribly disappointed with Julia Child and Company and its sequel, Julia Child and More Company. The recipes I tried were okay, but nothing special -- unlike the two-volume Art of French Cooking, or Julia Child's Kitchen, where every single recipe is a masterpiece. For example, the pasta was very flat and nowhere near as good as other recipes I've tried. I gave my copies to a charity garage sale.

A sentimental favorite, this is one of the earliest cook books I remember that provides step-by-step photographs. It presents complete meals, includes suggestions for using leftovers and main component alternatives, and is dotted with pages devoted to brief but thorough and entertaining explanations of main ingredients. I recall a discussion of rice and one about tomatoes, for instance. My daughter, establishing now her own household, asked to take my copy, and I am searching for a replacement!

Worth it just for the orange bavarian torte recipe. This is one of Julia's most delicious deserts, and makes a stunning presentation. The book (and Julia Child and Company) has excellent color photographs which show you step-by-step how to assemble each recipe. These books are organized by complete menus which is helpful if you are planning an event.
